I almost feel scared to mention that I've had Christmas Tharja since last year.
Well, 50+ orbs later and nobody. Although here's the irony: I got Fae, but NORMAL Fae. And I didn't need her. I also got 5-star Dark Robin, which is nice to merge with my first, but still!

I've had C Tharja for a year as well. I originally really didn't want her, but when I did, I learned how insanely broken she can be in some fights.
Sadly, the only Christmas character I've ever really wanted was Lissa, just because I like Lissa. However, she's not worth it at this point.

I have gotten 3…THREE fucking 5 star characters just pulling red orbs on the Tharja banner... NONE of them are my bikini Tharja.

Another Azura!? When a character gets so many alternates, I wonder if even its fans are still going after it because it is that character or if it's just because of the power creep/bonus that makes almost every new unit top tier so people will want them regardless of which character it is.
That said, I may go a few orbs in and try to give a + to my Fjorm.

That said: I did wind up spending about 60-80 on the Legendary. Not happy about it, but I got an Eir, Fjorm, and Legendary Azura. Merged the previous two to my Neutral ones, and my L Azura is Atk+/Res-.
That's it. No more orb spending. I'm done.

35 orbs later, didn't get the extra Fjorm that I wanted, but "free pulled" Legendary Hector (already had one, but this one got the right IVs) and got Legendary Azura (who I intended to feed to Silvia, but as it turns out Gray Waves can't be inherited). Will keep the rest of the orbs for the laguz.
Was expecting this one to get tickets, but apparently those are only for the VVVIP banners.

to be fair it did- Fates reveal trailer had Azura twirling, CGI Stoneborn, enemy pair up, glimpses of Mikoto and Garon…..here the TH trailer gave us more names and a bigger clue on what the game is about (crests, three factions?)
Buuuuuut it hasn't gotten anything else since e3. My guess is that IntSys wasn't 100% ready to show off anything just yet, but Nintendo urged them along to show something for e3?? Just a guess. I have no qualms with extra time in the oven. Fire Emblem has had a history of cut content, after all.

So fun (or not-so-fun, depending on your point of view) fact: Out of the 122 new units released this year (Starting from New Years 2018 and ending at Legendary Azura), 65 of them were alts of preexisting characters. In other words, more than half of the year was alts.
And that's being generous and counting the Grimas, the extra genders of Morgan/Kana, and Owain as "new" characters.

I'd argue that alternate gender avatars, possessed versions of characters, or just young or beefcake Ike are deserving of being treated as different characters (here, never in smash)
