There was nothing wrong with Cyborg 009, and most people enjoyed Casshern sins. Are we talking about money or quality?
And just because two other shows (by seperate studios mind you) have been bad doesn't mean Gatchaman doesn't have the potential to be good.
That's horrible logic. Not to mention Astro Boy 2003 was pretty good, and it was a remake.
Edit: After looking at the concept and design… now I'm scared.
Meh, the Tetsujin 28 and Astro Boy were the only two remakes that stood out, IMO.
Some robot shows like Mazinger Z wasn't bad. And Gaiking was a complete reimagined.
But as far as the superhero series goes….. meh. Meh. Big meh.
Had more fun watching shenanigans of Tiger & Bunny lol.
Sorry, but I'm not looking forward to Shoujo Manga Gacchaman either. Lol.
You're right, I could be proven wrong. But I have yet to be impressed.
EDIT: OH, there is one remake I'm looking forward to. Gundam Origins.
The manga was pretty awesome, I love his work, not to mention he's the original artist for the original Gundam anyways.
The animated version of Gundam Origin was announced ages ago, they need to push that project forward and not waste their time with stupid shit like LOLVAMPIREGUNDAM.
