! Honestly not much to add to what rubia wrote. Soma bought all the meat just the morning before the competition so Mimasaka couldn't stalk him.
Dude says it's still well within expectations and it's left to be seen if his intent to improvise on the spot is a mere bluff or the real deal.
Most of the chapter is taken up with the reactions to Mimasaka's dish as described. Chapter ends on Mimasaka getting antsy and sweating asking himself why he's nervous despite everything being in his expectations. -

Souma reveals he chose/bought all of them that morning, which means he's improvising

tongue - boiling until the surface gets stiff, peeling the skin, browning it with butter and olive oil
cheek - marinate with red wine, parsley and bay leaves, seasoning with salt and pepper, sprinkle wheat flour, and fry it
fillet - boiling it inside a pot in the oven at 180°C for 1 hour
skirt - he goes for a shichirin he had in the waiting room (which makes Taki think he's forfeited the match) and lits the fire on the shichirin
! people wonder if his improvisation will actually let him have a consistent flavor
! Subaru says Souma is of that type
! Subaru mentions that people who fight him without knowing his tricks either lose being unable to do something or struggle to evolve their dish like Takumi
He then says people who know how he works either try bluffing and making something else or simply try to improvise on the match
He then says Souma isn't the kind of people who'd panic and be unable to do anything decent
This makes Souma's friends brighten up a bit
Souma's surprised by the compliment to which Subaru answers that he "believed" in Souma since he knows all about him, even that he went to the Aldini house and to buy the meat in the morning

He got the idea from chicken stew (google "筑前煮" for which type) which looks like it's just thrown together when in fact everything is well balanced with each other.

! Souma's dish is a bowl with the stew which has many pieces of different parts of meat, vegetables, and mushrooms
Taki mentions she's never seen such a beef stew only to be interrupted by Souma who says the extra meat is only garnish
The polar star nameless guys mention how unorthodox Souma's dish is and how much liberty he took with it
! Subaru mentions it's just a jumble of many ingredients which won't be able to win against his carefully planned dish
! Hinako and Sonoka praise the dish's smell and looks before the tasting begins
! Ikumi and Megumi are visibly restless and we get a flashback on what Souma betted
! The judges take the first bite which leads to an image of them riding a roller coaster
! Taki says the dish is great and elaborates a bit comparing the incoming different textures to a thrill ride
! Fuyumi mentions how the skirt is especially amazing as he cut it in thick slices rather than thinner ones to preserve more meat juice
She also mentioned that Souma carved a grid pattern on the skirt's surface so that it got a different texture when frying it on the shichirin

It's unfortunate, but between the Chinese scan and full summary, there's not too much to discuss once the English scans come out. Not to mention the week delay and the next week's spoiler summary and Chinese scan…
Lately I've been associating animal masks with murderers due to movies/manga, so yeah it was a bit creepy.
! Kinda glad it seems Soma "stuck" to his style of cooking and in a way went "homely" by having various meats instead of having "one strong flavor" like a Gourmet dish would, at least from what I understood from the spoiler.
! Yeah, pretty interested in how Takumi is going to react to it all, along with hoping the next match is good. But I liked Subaru as a character and thought pacing was fine . One or two eh moments here (I'm fine with the reporter dude, was more bothered that Yukihara seemed to be in control of the initial confrontation and Subaru didn't set the rules of the match himself), but overall I thought the arc was done well given the ending was obvious. Excepst for Takumi of course. He'll be straight up "I'll claimed it after I beat you".

Yes, but a big part of chapter 85 was about how special-of-a-day restaurants are more homely and lack a strong impact. In the same way Yukihara was able to keep the light-brown miso despite miso being known in eastern dishes than western, I'm impressed he found a way to raise his dish without compromising his cooking style, especially since the direction seemed to indicate Yukihara was moving away from it and going more towards what Erina and the judges believed is necessary for the dish.

I mean yeah, there will be some resolution where he has to admit he was wrong and give back the tools, but I feel like his actual defeat in the kitchen should have been stronger. Hopefully the judges will criticize him further and tell him to cook his own stuff.
