Confession time: I'm a vegetarian. At least I was for most of my life. Then I discovered steak. Thus began my time as an omnivore. Then something funny happened. I discovered that I've never felt as good as when I was a vegetarian, and I was never more fit. So, after 3 years as a "normal" person, I am on my way back to being a vegetarian.
I'm about a week into it, and boy is it hard. My body is missing meat despite the fact that I'm getting my needed protein, fats, and Omega 3s. I'm back on the same diet that I was on for the majority of my life, but it's strangely difficult.
And that's why I created this thread. I don't want an argument about the pros and cons of vegetarianism, I want to hear stories of people who are vegetarian or vegan. Or from people who were. Or people who tried to be. I just want some good stories. Ideally this is going to be a therapy of sorts until the meat is out of my system, so to speak.
Just some background info on me: I was raised more pescetarian. We ate fish, but that was it. Not even eggs. We drank milk, ate cheese, it was just meat, minus the fish, that we didn't eat.
So yeah, Arlong Park, any vegetarians hiding in the water?
Also, anyone got some good recipes? I know a killer eggless french toast recipe I'd be willing to share, among others.
