The "What was that show/movie called" thread

Most of us have seen shows/movies in our childhood of which we can't remember the name anymore.
This is a thread about figuring out, what that show/movie was.

I''ll start of:

I used to watch a show (In the early/mid nineties) about an alien familie, who looked like normal humans.
The head of the familie was a red haired girl. And i recall that they we''re being chased by some weird alien with a weird eyepatch esque thing.
In one of the episodes i remember that the girl was able to walk over water.
It wasn't a cartoon series. And i think it was made in either australia or england, due the accent. –-------------------------------------–-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's been a long time since i last watched this, so i don't know any specific details anymore.
And due nostalgic reasons i was interested in the name of that show.
So if anyone knows the name of that show/or is looking for the name of different movie/show, than please reply.

So I spent about 5 mins looking for what you posted using IMDB's advanced search. (Yeah I have a lot of time to kill, but I saw this as a challenge anyways) I gave up when the links that came up didn't match with the information you posted.

Then it hit me. Why am I overthinking this like a pretentious douche? Off to the ever trusty google!

… and guess what? I had the result in (0.28 seconds) seconds. It was literally the FIRST link with the keywords "alien family girl australian tv -cartoon". I was going to try replacing Australian with British if I didn't get a hit, but meh; got lucky on first try.

I was going to start something like this a while back but here it is anyway. I also watched a movie back when I was a kid about this guy who was really good w/ a sword (this one was really sharp) and he became blind in a war (I think it was Vietnam). He befriended this kid who supposedly had a collection of toy dinosaurs.

There was another 1 w/ actual living dinosaurs, these ones were really tiny and this kid also have them, he always hide them though.

Blind Fury maybe? Seems like that used to be on Starz Action a lot; though there were a lot of Vietnam veterans become samurai/ninja films from back in the '80s and early '90s.

Now, this is one that I know really well; it's Prehysteria, which was a kid-friendly cash-in on the success of Jurassic Park. They were made by, of all people, Charles Band's Full Moon Pictures, which was most famous for the Puppetmaster series of horror films. Seems like the models might even have been made for some horror film originally that fell through or might even have even been used for something like Carnosaur, which was Roger Corman's not-at-all kid-friendly cash-in on the success of Jurassic Park.

thats what it was, thank you. How weird, a movie that I saw recently, Zatoichi, actually reminded me of that 1 (blind fury) and it says that it was basedo n that Japanese movie, how ironic

Okay guys try this one out:

This is a live action movie about a teenager who somehow finds a way into
the world of monsters. He has a lot of fun hanging out with the monsters
(who are bad influences) but find out that the longer he stays in their
world the more he turns into one of them. He decides that he wants to
go back home but his monster friends wont let him. Random tidbit:
The monsters disintegrated in light so the boy's human friend built a
flashlight battle suit to rescue his friend. Also, if I remember correctly
the main monster kid had blue skin and wore a baseball outfit.

Little Monsters; it's been on The Hub quite a bit lately, both as part of their Halloween festivities and even before then. Fred Savage was the main character and his monster friend was Howie Mandel.
