16 characters of FTFY and please stop bringing coby into this discussion because it's getting really old. 1. he's not even in Dressrosa nor have we've been give hints that he will be; 2. his tutor is garp and coby willl most likely end up being like him: a beast with no df, like helmeppo will resemble bogart.

Why is it getting old? It's perfectly reasonable to think about Coby getting fruit! Not only he's someone who Luffy can trust, but he will need powerup if he wanna be big shot later on, right now he should still be fodder to Luffy like he was before time skip, because why would he get bigger power up than Luffy during TS? If he is to become Admiral he will need power boost + logia will fit perfectly with Admiral sit, just like all other admirals (maybe that will change with Fujitora)

Also Im suprised that you're second person i see saying about Violet becoming nakama (even though i know you're joking) Funny toy robot with his own version of geppou should draw your attention you guys! Toy for NN! Got a gag, seems to be strong and got nice introduction! Also fits nicely crew with being a toy… we already got cyborg, animal, woman, df users ... lol

Oda clearly reads what his fans says in random forums and will decide to change story so Coby can eat it.

I find Sanji's nosebleed just fine but now that Luffy wants the mera mera and is ready to give it away to one of the SHs is perfectly fine and the most likely to eat it is Sanji as some of you said BUT Sanji eating that DF will depend in this arc, who he fights and who is the guy that this Violeta girl wants dead also she mentioned another city, could this city be near greenbit and Sanji will meet with Usopp's crew, can this guy be a DD subordinate or can Luffy fight in basic mode, no Gomu Gomu attacks just haki and brute force...

PS: somebody mention some about being sure Oda likes FT, we all like FT to the extreme

Really loved todays chapter, am loving Luffy and Franky's team up and interactions, Franky is being pretty cool in this arc and Luffy is bad ass and I love how hes trying to take things serious and showing a bit of a mature side. HA At people thinking they know Luffy so much that they thought for sure he wouldn't care, thats three times hes prooven you guys wrong, I'm glad you guys are wrong and I was right as it shows how much he loves and respects his brother to the point he'd do this. I also love how hes trying to do things without his devil fruit abilitys this time, looks like some one on the Naruto forums whos wanted some thing different done with his character should be happy for now :getlost:

Zoro lost again even more? He will blame his crew again cuz he doesn't think he has a bad sense of direction, oh you poor guy. I don't think any one willl be able to find this guy now, his bad sense of direction has gotten ten times worse since the time skip, it will be up to the Dof crew and only cuz they want to kill the strawhats but how many of you want to bet hey'll ask one of them for help to get back to the ship without noticing that person is a bad guy at first? I'm sure hey'll run into one of them at some point, wonder how long his plot will last?

I wonder how long it will take till we switch to the other teams? either way I'm loving this, thank you again for this wonderful series Oda

Gotta say i'm surprised that apparently only Luffy will join the tournament while Sanji and Zoro have their own side adventures (although they'll likely end up meeting strong opponents too).
And what happened to Kinemon? i thought he left the pub together with Sanji..

A Woman falling in love with the perverted one of the series? No way!! Its never been done in series like thisXD I'd love it if she wasn't using him and he actually really was helping her and got into a fight with one of the Dof crew members for her, guess will see how things go with his plot. I refuse to write him off so easy, he used to be one of my top favorite characters.

I don't think Sabo will eat this one and he may not even appear this arc nor the next one and I believe that Sabo will have a Zoan type Mythical who knows (Ace logia, Luffy paramecia and Sabo Zoan)

This was a great chapter, I loved Franky's advice to Luffy giving him an excuse to participate in the tournament

Then Violet and Sanji's side story is interesting, but I'm expecting Violet to double cross him soon, and hopefully he'll notice. But being Sanji he won't because it's a woman…

And as other people have said, this arc is very reminiscent of Dragon Ball (no not Z) with Luffy dressed up as Muten Roshi, and all his opponents being huge, him being small. Just a great nostalgic feeling

I'm guessing Luffy will offer the Mera Mera fruit to everyone in the crew, then if no one wants it maybe give it to someone he trusts (Coby?)

Good chapter, but am I the only one who thinks Violet looks nearly identical to Robin? Coincidence? I find it hardly likely, as Oda can draw a variety of hairstyles and faces. Was Robin's cousin ever shown? It's just a little odd.

Also, Franky with the Mera Mera would have been a bit odd, anyway, but it still leaves open the possibility a crew member will end up eating it if Luffy was so willing to let Franky have it.

I can't agree with that, for the very reason you pointed out. Zoro's lack of direction was funny when used with moderation, but it's also an example of the same joke just rehashed for new places, and the example you gave shows how extreme and absurd it got, which is far from being a good thing imo. And makes him look mentally challenged.

Anyway, it's not the kind of thing that bothers me. I think people are just too easily annoyed by anything.

I spotted an error on the colorspread…..the bottom said Chapter 702: Waiting Room. Who messed up? Oda or Mangapanda?

Oh, the chapter. Thought the last one ended with Luffy actually in the colosseum, but it seems I got that wrong. He and Franky are still in the alley. And….Luffy definitely wants the Mera Mera. I didn't spot any extreme anger (yet), but I have the feeling the closer and closer he gets, the more enraged he'll be to get the fruit safely.

What I really liked was Franky's support....explaining he should go after the fruit, to not let the chance pass up…..

Meanwhile, Zoro and Sanji continue their adventure. Zoro is adamant on getting Shuusui back, so he quickly leaves the cook by himself....(oh god, Zoro will be lost in seconds)

Sanji, however, encounters a woman named Violet.....who apparently is on the run for stabbing a man.....I was kinda pissed at his nosebleed, but to be fair, this woman has showed him the most (and genuine) affection in the series, no? But c'mon, even Sanji won't kill a man for a woman, right? Especially since Dressrosan women are hot-blooded and full of passion? Maybe this whole thing will put his love for women in perspective....?

Meanwhile, Luffy decided to enter the colosseum....where one particular toy evades the police by stepping into the coloseum entrance. Very interesting that all criminals are free from conviction while particpating.....so either Fujitora will be forced to obey and just watch the fights....or say f*** it and shut the whole thing down himself.

also, Luffy entering as "Lucy" was the funniest thing ever.

So, an okay chapter....the tournament is becoming more and more of an actuality with each chapter, but right now, Luffy's the only one who entered. And as stated before (by one Aaronrules), he's not the type to follow rules and play fairly. He'll get that fruit, even if he has to personally beat everyone up himself.

But thankfully, there's still other sub-plots going on. I'm curious to see who took Zoro's sword, but I can't help but think both the Shuusui thief and Violet.....are methods to also trap Zoro and Sanji. And where the heck is Kinemon?

Next chapter I really want to see how Law's group is doing. Maybe the Sunny defense team, too.

Also, Oda got the year wrong by one year, but interestingly enough, the TV Show I Love Lucy ran in Black and White until May of 57 (0557). Maybe that's where Oda got the number from?

It's the opposite, he wanted him to eat the fruit instead of a person he doesn't know or care about, and he'll probably ask the other crewmembers if he gets the fruit.

I thought the chapter was really good. I'm surprised more people aren't thinking the toy soldier could be the next crew mate. I mean if you look at past characters there has been something unusual about them: Franky, Brook, Chopper and most likely Jimbe. I'd say Oda would love to add a toy soldier.

The thing is, that we haven't yet seen SH what are capable of after the time skip. We do not really know how strong Sanji is yet? And I think some rival of Luffy will eat it, maybe COBY? However, is Sanji eats it than I wouldnot be surprised if the marines give him 400+ bounty just because of that!
