      A.k.a. "Oh-my-god-this-is-so-awesome-why-did-no-one-ever-think-of-it-before"

      Lang-8 is a blogging website where you post entries in a language you wanna learn. From there, native speakers correct it so it sounds more natural.

      Of course, they're learning a language too, so you can correct their entries too.

      It's a really neat way to gain better language, and you can make friends along the way! 😄

          I just got into Lang-8 recently as well. You can see me correcting journals aplenty as Gliblord

              @Cruithne:

              Which languages are you doing?

              Japanese.

              I took a look-see at Livemocha and I'm not impressed. It does the same bullshit Rosetta Stone does where it doesn't tell you the definition of the new word directly, it merely shows you an abstract picture of what the new word represents. That's fine and dandy for languages with alphabets you already know, but for writing systems you need to familiarize yourself with it makes no sense whatsoever. Not to mention the potential of this method to confuse. Wait, did that mean "clown" or "red nose"? ffs just tell me the goddamn meaning in plain English
