It looks like we're about to get a 3-3-3 draw this time.
Ikoma will likely beat Kuga since I doubt Kuga will be able defeat the 2 aces (what the point of getting a 2nd ace like Hyuse on the team if Kuga is already able to do such feats). And then Chika will have to bail out.

It's nice to have such exciting action, Ouji stealing that kill really caught me by surprise. But it does look like Ikoma unit is going to be the last team standing

Damn, that debris launch with the grasshopper and then using the grasshopper again to launch debris PAST Ouji to make him trip over that attached wire. And he even hid his hand to not give Ouji any points for what he's doing! Yuuma is such a badass Ace! Ikoma and Ouji are pretty cool too though, like that kill-steal of Ouji (nice teamwork of Yuuma and Chika btw) or Ikoma's "Chika distruction" copy by cutting down an entire block with one swing.
Ouji team is now out for good with 3 points, Ikoma has a sniper and ace in just like tamakoma 2 but only 0 points compared to tamakoma's 3. I wonder if this gonna end with Tamakoma getting 7 points or if they gonna stay at 3 for whatever reason. I doubt Ikoma can beat Yuuma if even Murakami can hardly beat Yuuma, but who knows; Yuuma is injured and the wire zone is down. Plus Oki keeps Chika in check. Well if Yuuma goes down I doubt either Oki or Ikoma could "kill" Chika, they probably would let her get away. xD

I wasn't expecting much from this match going into it but Ikoma squad won me over as well as Ouji trying to out keikaku Osamu. Not my favourite match but I like how short and action packed it was, and I think this match really cemented home for me how strong an ace Kuga is. My favourite moment has to be Chika's little fake out hop when running away, that or Osamu getting a kill with raygust in blade mode.
We've got proof now that as the 3 man unit Tamakoma-2 can stand toe to toe with the top of the real B rank top squads. With Hyuse coming in they should be able to take on these A rank teams in B rank clothing

I really enjoyed this round.
As much as the others. I can't rank them. They all had something interesting or some likeable characters.
I never expected we would get as many rounds in this Rank war arc. Fortunately, the mangaka is really good at preventing the battles to go stale.
And it's amazing how many likeable this manga has. Ikoma and Oji were cool addition to the cast.About Hyuse and the latest chapter, I expected him to become an All-Rounder with the Kogetsu and a rifle like Karasuma. That way, T-2 will have all the main triggers covered.
So him using the Kogetsu is not a surprise. Still, it's interesting to learn that he has already experienced fighting with a sword.The next round should be interesting.
With him and Kuga protecting Osamu and Chika, their wire formation should be almost invincible.
I'm looking forward to seeing how their opponent will be able to react to that.Prediction : next round against Yuba and Azuma and final round against Nino and Kage.

The match was pretty good, Ikoma and his chill team made it golden. Can't wait to see how Ikoma fares against OP Hyuse who even wins 5-2 against A rank attackers.

not a fan of him saying he wont follow orders. I get it, but even kuga follows orders and im certain kuga is stronger. i kinda what him to gain some more humility but not at the cost of the team.

all rounder would be cool i guess, but would that position be good for the team? i feel like kuga and chika would be a good couple to take ppl down with some help from osamu's strings, or maybe osamu and kuga with chika and hyuse. excited to see how it goes.

Yeah I'm happy he's going gun based with viper. Escudo was a really nice surprise too. Seeing as he's got one of the highest trion counts in border he should be able to make good use of it. I think he just might leave that last slot empty because each Tamakoma 2 member has their own niche side trigger already, Kuga with grasshoper, Osamu with spider, Chica with black bullets and then Hyuse with escudo

I'm curious how Hyuse will utilize Escudo in battle. I think he will probably try something else than just "taking" given the Escudo is an immobile tough shield. My thought was that he would ceate new pillars for Osamu to use spiders on or like Jin to trap people with two escudos at once though I think for that you'd need an Escudo slot in each trigger half.

Looks like the new chapter will talk about the Old Border. NICE!
So there were 19 members of which 9 died, became Black triggers, some left the force and the rest either joined HQ or became Tamakoma.What's really interesting is that Old Border had THREE allied Neighbor Nations! THREE! ALLIED! NEIGHBOR NATIONS!!! And they promised to protect each other!
Cronin is probably from one of them I guess.
I'm not entirely sure but it seems Old Border Members died to protect an allied nation who then stole a just made Black Trigger from Old Border in that battle. Could be wrong translation though.Anyway: Kido! Was! SMILING!!!

After the many deaths he changed the agendas of Border to be a bridge into a Wall/Fort with Neighbors being their enemies.Konami is soooooooooooo cute as a little kid!
Seems she was all over Rindou-san and very clingy to him as a kiddo and she gets all super embarrassed when Yuri tells Osamu about it. xDYuuma wins 12-8 against Hyuse which is pretty impressive given Hyuse has this new trigger set for the first time. Will be interesting to see if Hyuse adds Grasshopper too as he said that was a pretty strong trigger and responsible for most of Yuuma's wins in their battle.
Also Yuuma will visit Kage later at this home. Probably that restaurant Kage's family runs.

It's gonna be Yuzuru, she's gonna point blank cannon Yuzuru to get over her issue with shooting people and go on to become the ultimate agent.

I think it will be Ninomiya in the next match where Chika finally kill somebody. That will shut him up for good.^^
I expect this match to somehow end closely, not as in a lose but as in not getting close enough to overtake Kageura thus being forced to do really well in their next match against Ninomiya Unit while hoping Kageura doesn't do too well on their own match. Would put up the tension whenever or not they make it to 2nd place and thus qualify to challenge an A team and ofc be allowed to enter the Expedition squad. -

Since World Trigger's new volume confirmed to release on upcoming March, many people in 2ch are thinking that WT will most likely going to resume in Jump SQ.

Seriously though, sooner or later WT has to return, change magazines or just end abruptly and given Ashihara's personality I can't see the latter happening so it will be either of the former two and I don't think Jump will yet let go of WT after Gintama and some other mangas will end this year and most of the new 6 ones don't seem to be huge hits yet. I just hope he returns this or the next month. Oh right, abandon all hope…

I said "yet" and "seem". I doubt any manga could become a huge hit in 10 weeks, what I meant was their general rank like U19 having bad ranks and bad reviews online in japan and so on. They need time and during that time Jump need seller mangas, especially with Gintama ending, which WT is part of with his 350k+ sales. Even Neverlands which has gotten recently 95k on its 3rd volume within a week, so even a good manga like that will need another year or two before it gets over 300k sales. So in other words, WT will be fine only question is if Ashihara is gonna be fine to continue on the manga or not.

Still, it is too early to assume that they're going to be Jump's new power house or not. Besides, you're only looking at U19 and not looking at other series (WNL and Marie are having good start / Stone and Laserbeam are still unknown). Plus, it usually going to take a year or two to see whether they are going to be huge hits or not. So, it is still too early to even talk about whether they can become cash cow for Jump.

You also forgot that there are BC/Yaiba/Yuuna-san. Those are also rising their popularity, and BC going to have an anime soon. Beside them, there are still OP, Haikyuu!!, Hero Academia, Souma, and Boruto will remain as Jump's main power source. So, it isn't something to worry about it.
Besides, you need to worry more on Ashihara's health than what's going to happen in Jump on future. For me, I rather want Ashihara to take enough time to 100% get better before resuming WT.

I finally caught up to this series, and so far I think it is pretty good! I decided to read it when I saw it at the library, and I read the rest of the chapters online. (After reading all the volumes that the library had to offer.) My favorite characters are probably Hyuse, Chika, and Konami. I was like "awww" when I heard it was on hiatus, so I can't wait till it comes back! And of course, I hope the author gets better soon! Anyways, I just wanted to put in my two cents, that's all! ^^

Finally new update for World Trigger. It looks like Ashihara has finally gotten better on his health, so he is preparing to return. However, based on the message, it looks like he possibly has moved to Jump SQ.

I expect WT to get back into the english shonen jump line-up.
I can't wait for the return. The manga stopped right before Tamakoma-2's first rank battle with Hyuse in the squad. Really excited to see that battle and how Osamu's will handle him.
