I'm not surprised CENTER is the last ingredient to get. Up until Chiyo spilled the beans no one except Ichiryuu knew about its existence. There's also the fact Acacia's full course had only seven slots as opposed to eight.

I don't know why, but I already love the "Back Hole Whale" Sea King. Design looks pretty menacing and seems to fit his name, "Moon". I wonder how much bigger it will be than Herakles and how they are going to "beat" it.

Well, apart from Starjun + Toriko, the other pairings could not have been much worse, at least personality wise. Well played, Jiji. Almost seems like trolling from Shima.
So I'm guessing:
Area 5 needs high speed and/or radar. Brunch and Zebra both have high speed, Zebra has Radar.
Area 4: I have no idea what Livebearer adds to the table besides stolen knowledge and forbidden cooking, but at a guess he probably doesnt have GW data. Sunny has his hair so maybe they need precision. Also the garden sounds like a beautiful place, so Sunny'll probably like that, he needs something to offset Livebearer's faces after all.
Area 3: Poison, Poison, Poison. Made of Poison.
Area 2: Generic Plains, how fitting for Starjun/Toriko (okay, seriously, I have no idea about this one)

Wow, I've never liked a chapter of Toriko so much since middle of Cooking Fest. I already disregarded it as a manga that I just look through each week for completion…but these pair-ups? I'm pumped. Livebearer having relevance again, finally getting the Tairan-Coco & Zebra-Brunch combos everyobe wanted...yes, yes, yes. Guess these people will become actaul combos by the end of the series.
Though it's still weird that the at first proclaimed goal of the manga is now relegated to a dish that only needs 2 people (even if it is Toriko & Star) to capture...still quite a bit before the final arc of it all.

That was never a necessity. The 0th biotope tried to go for each ingredient/area at the same time. If it was impossible to do it without following that order, they would all go to area 8 before moving on.

Tylan was on the heroes of the Four Beast arc, ranked 19th in the IGO Chef Rankings, made it to the final round of the Cooking Festival and was strong enough to avoid capture or serious injury from the Bishokukai. He's legit as they come.

It was kinda random. . .but I gotta say, I'm pumped. Pumped to see secondary characters do some stuff, even if I don't particularly know them, like this Tairan guy.
It's weird we're going this route of splitting up to hunt incredibly difficult ingredients with just two guys after seeing how strong the 8 kings are, but I'll bite. Nice to see those chapters where the 0th biotope guys where ambush in some different locations now seems a bit less unnecessary. It's cool to see those locations again, it gives more context to their final battle. . .that we never saw.
Gotta say I'm the most interested in the sea beast. A whale that sucks light, cool. Now, focus on that adventure first, please, even if I feel there's just too many chefs in there for every one of them to do something, but if Shima can manage to do that, props to him.

I wonder if Midora is going after one of the Blue Nitros. That would be a pretty interesting fight and I hope he dies. He was really only an interesting enemy when everyone hated him and wanted to stop his ambitions. Now they're helping him eat more and trying to serve him Acacia's full course. Freaking ruined his bad guy appeal.

I think that it means that he is the hardest King to fight against, given the fact that he lives in the ocean which gives him a great advantage against everyone who wants to fight him.

I am so glad that the Ocean 8 King is a Whale and not a shark or kraken. A freakin 'Gravity Whale' sounds beast in and of itself; it's like someone read my mind and submitted a perfect combination of the 'Neutron Shrimp' and 'Gulper Whale' that I never got around to. The fact that it is likely the most powerful Beast King and probably the size of the moon is icing on the cake.
The pairings are great too, especially Sunni and Livebearer; I am tempted to count the number of times "Disgustin'!" is shouted.Chapter is 10/10

A thought on why CENTER is named so: Area 1's the landmass on the other side of the planet, opposite from human world, and thus a "center" of the world.
Makes sense why it's the last area, if you imagine it as everybody splitting up and reconverging on the opposite side.

I don't see any reason one course's meat dish couldn't be someone else's Main dish.
Also, I don't think it's ever been explicitly said but it seems like it's an unwritten rule that you can only add something you've personally captured and eaten for yourself to your full course.

2 chapters ago we learned that in the back channel gourmet demons dwell, waiting to find a host to awaken once again. Vice versa, if a person dies(the physical body) he(gourmet demon) returns to the back channel/spirit world and waits for another opportunity.
Thus Coco probably isn't his first host. Also to the theory of Center being in the core of the planet. I get a really ''Lost World' vibe from it, sounds perfect!
