I wouldn't be surprised if the Teppei thing is a mislead. But whatever, we'll see. Probably next chapter, seeing as it looks like all the fights are done. I hope we find out what happened to Coco, too.

That seems pretty unlikely to me, honestly. Recall that, when Setsuno began to confront Zaus, she mentioned that she had suspected he'd made contact with Joa because of the new scar on his face, and that his betrayal simply confirmed her suspicions. Meanwhile, in the aftermath of Teppei confronting Joa after the Fourbeast incident, the lady that was helping tend to him in bed commented that the scar on his face seemed as though it were larger, but then dismissed it as her imagination, since he seemed completely healthy.

It was obvious at the time that attention was drawn to that for some reason, but we had no way of knowing what. Now, however, with the additional pieces of Setsuno's comment towards Zaus, as well as, with this chapter, Teppei showing up Joa, I think it's quite clear that Joa has some form technique with which he can bring people to his side, whether it be a sort of outright mind control, or something more subtle.

maybe he asked Melk to upgrade it? I don't think it was ever made clear that those knives can only be used to heal people, just that the user needed a lot of skill to pull off the trick, so I guess Komatsu could still use his knife in combat and for normal cooking.

I think it's a good power-up for Komatsu, considering how Toriko ends up as a bloody mess after every one of his major fights.

I think the revitalizing thing was more about technique than the actual knife. That was the impression I had he meant when I was translating it, that they meant the Revitalizing Kitchen Knife.

And good call about the scar thing, I forgot that. Yeah, maybe.

Im trying to figure out why Teppei is there. I mean obviously Joa is going to use Teppei in some way against Jirou.

Im wondering if Jirou will have to make a choice between saving his partner Setsuno or his grandson Teppei.

He has to be used as some sort of bargaining chip/leverage.

But does this mean that Joa is indeed the leader of Neo? I mean if Teppei is with him, Im assuming his is under mind control. If he is under mind control, than that would explain Zaus being with Neo, since he has a scar. Just not totally sure at the moment.

But if Joa puts scars on people and then mind controls them, why didnt he do that on Chiyo? Since apparently he met her. I mean she would be a real great addition to Neo

Also, how epic would it have been had Komatsu swung the knife at Starjun when he was on all fours, just for Starjun to realize he got killed not by Toriko, but by Komatsu.

BUT NOPE. JUST GOTTA BE A PUSSY.

Seriously, just bend over Komatsu, you would have more use that way in this series

Nice chapter, though too fast.
The "Dark Technique" Starjun is talking about is surely something concerning kitchen knives and revitalizing. He's going to heal himself. And so Komatsu could heal Toriko a bit.
But…didn't they need "Revitalizing Knives"? I don't know.
Moreover, Starjun is going back to the stadium...but...he won't kidnap Komatsu?!?!?!?!?!?! Then what's the meaning of his fight against Toriko?

And now Joa has arrived. With Teppei. In my opinion there could be two theories behind this:

that's not Teppei but a "clone" revitalized after Joa murdered and ate Teppei; the "real" Teppei is another "clone";
that's Teppei but he's mind controlled; maybe Joa ate his brain are revitalized it or revived him with his brain "washed".

I hope we'll see the continuation of this in the next chapter, even if this could mean the stop of the fights (and I really wanted to watch Shigematsu fighting).

Could you imagine Coco somehow being able to transform into his foes or something? Maybe thats why we only saw Grinpatch come out, and the real one is dead or something? Probably a little too far fetched. Ill just stick with him busting out theory

No, Shima already confirmed on Twitter that coco is dead and Grinpatch will take his spot in the Four Heavenly Kings. Had something to do with Coco just being too lame and not well liked enough, while pretty much anyone agreed that we need more Grinpatch faces in this manga.
Though I agree with you, that it was a shame, that it happened offscreen.

Maybe NEO's goals are similar or even on par with the Saiseiyas but with extreme methods and Teppei joined them on his own decision. Do we already know what their goals are apart from gaining Acacias Full Course?

I personally think it wouldn't be a shame if there were an either good nor bad fraction in this whole story. We already have the Bishokukai as the bad and IGO as the 'good' guys. Storywise this would open the possibility for letting the main cast fighting each other as a result of switching sides.
