i just dont see how getting devil fruits will make a character LESS interesting… i mean it opens gates to more jokes, moves, and abilities
i might agree to the fact that they dont NEED df's but i cant agree that eating df's will make them less of a character -
i dont see y the strawhats eating them will be so bad -_-
nobody will be able to swim =(. i mean, who will save luffy if he falls in the ocean (which happens in every arc lol).

I really can't see Nami with a Devil Fruit. That's just me, at any rate; it's like Bucc and I were discussing right before everyone boarded the Rocketman - her strength is not physical, it's pretty much all mental. I dunno.
Unless it's like a smart fruit. But I don't think anyone wants Nami to look like a Ferengi or anything :laugh:

Then who would Sanji get? Seeing Blueno's power level, there's no way Sanji'd be fighting him now. Kaku and Jyabura are for Zoro and Sanji.

That works for Marvel comics and the like, but it's better to see what they can do using what they have. (Nami and her Clima Tact for example)

-Luffy in Arlong Park.
-Luffy in Laboon's Island.
-Luffy in Arabasta.
-Shojo in Jaya.
-Luffy in Water 7.

still if luffy can manage this far without swimming
that's cuz he has had help from his nakama everytime he's sunk. now if they all had df powers, nobody could help one another if they fell in the ocean.

the thing is i think this is a good oppurtunity to add more diversity to the fights involving sanji and zoro
(i also believe usopp and nami shouldnt eat df's….some characters should be absurdely strong and others should use their wits)theres only two df's...im not sayin everyone should eat them -.-

I don't want to see any one of them to eat a DF, they are fine the way they are. And we finally see a Devil Fruit itself, we olny saw Luffy and Buggy eating one; after that we never see a Devil Fruit untie now.

I like to see the Strawhats get the fruits, but not eat them . Then have them to sell the fruit to pay for a new ship which may lead to a whole "black market" arc . For all we know, they could shove one in Rocket Man and make it their new ship .

So I'm sitting here with Kaku, discussing who can eat the Devil Fruits… we KNOW somebody's got to, Oda wouldn't unveil them for now reason...
Spandam is a candidate, but I don't think any of the other CP9 are. Calipha has her whips, as Kaku has his chisels. They have something to set them apart already. Zipper-boy and makeup-boy also seem content without Devil Fruits.
For the Straw Hats, I can't see Zoro, Sanji, or Usopp with a Devil Fruit, nor can I see Nami, either, really...
Paulie would be possible, if he were to join. Franky.... well, that might make him too powerful...
Then Kaku says to me, "Well, maybe his fruit will turn him into a real boy."
I reply, "Can't, Chopper's already eaten the Huma Huma Fruit.... unless..... Franky eats the Girl Girl Fruit?"

Lucchi - Neko Neko no Mi
Kaku - can jump like crazy..
Blueno - Doa Doa no Mi
Calipha - Thorn Whip
Jyabura - unknown Zoan type Akuma no Mi
Fukurou - measuring power

I think that Fukuro's ability is to be a punching bag. After all, he keeps taking big hits from Cp9.

Wow… thats all I can say about the chapter so far. Brilliant- I love the dialoge and interaction of CP9. The devil fruits in the chest are totally boggling my mind right now- I agree with those who hope that none of the remaining non-DF user Strawhats will eat them. It would be kind of strange, but who knows, I'm sure Oda would make it adaptable however he wanted to deal with it. Maybe Kalifa would eat one, seeing as she is the weakest (next to Spandam). Hm, he could eat one too.
Love the Kalifa and Spandam "sexual harassment" argument and FRANKY biting Spandam later on... priceless.
Man, I gotta rant about this with some people tomorrow.

Jyabura - Sanji (who's the 3rd strongest? is it sanji or robin?? ….)
Blueno - Robin/Sanji ?
Kumadori - Chopper
Fukurou - Ussop
Calipha - Nami -
Despite the "logic dictates this and that" reponse of Robin fans, I think Oda's storytelling clearly points to Sanji as being the stronger of the two.

u cant decide whos gonna fight who by their power…in the albalasta arc nami fought with miss doublfinger which was probably the third strongest figher (including croc) in baroque works...meanwhile chopper was fighting with like the 5th and 6th

Miss Doublefinger would be the fifth strongest. Crocodile, Robin, Mr. 1, Bon Clay, then Miss Doublefinger. Being the strongest female agent (aside Robi, of course) does not nessecitate being stronger than Bon Clay. And I'm sure others would back me up in saying that Bon Clay could kick around Miss Doublefinger. XD

I'm just mentioning that the two appear more even than might have seemed at first.

They're paired by sex. Bon Clay is a guy. Miss Doublefinger is a girl. All that's proved by Miss Doublefinger's position is that she's stronger than Miss Goldenweek, which I don't think any of us doubted.

As far as one of the Straw Hats eating the fruit I…. disagree, but selling them is an intelligent idea since one fruit costs something like 100million(Buggy Arc) and as far as Ussop fighting Kaku...... Impossible MUHAHAHAHA

Well, it's quite an informative chapter, a fair number of unknown battle-related tidbits have been given. Of course, even better is the interaction we get to see when all of CP9 is together… they became twice as cool. I can't help but love the fact that the serious bunch from Water 7 are taking this rivalry with the CP9 equivalent Larry, Curly and Moe seriously as they are. I totally expected them to think of them as nothing but lower class.

zoro is about 4900+
sanji is about 3400+
chopper with the rumbel ball is about 1500+
nami n usopp is about 20+
namis skill using clima triple stick is about 2500+
usopps skill using tools is about 3000+ah, its just my ops.

i think usopp is a lot stronger than people think…i mean after takin a hit from a 4 ton (or something like that) bat in albalasta he survived and proceeded to beat his enemies with chopper...wit will always be usopps strongest trait but his body seems to be prtty tough too

Those rankings don't count DF powers of course.
Non-DF Straw Hats will nver eat a DF, unless it's some sort of temporary thing.
Doublefinger was incredibly weak going by her performance against Nami. Her DF ability was very weakly developed – she was little stronger than a normal human fighter. Even if Calipha is "only" as strong as 43 armed Marines put together, she pwned dozens of strong human fighters at Galley-La like they were nothing.

Amazing, nobody is answering my questions instend people are talking about Power Levels just like in a Dragon Ball Z board in Gamefaq.com:
"Nami could reach 10,000 PL if she uses a Clima Tact over 100 times, if she add 100 more of training she could boost her power 50 degrees and add a 100 power in her Clima Tact she can be in 25,000 PL and she can be able to use he Clima Tact to sink 17 ships in five seconds; if she levels up 1000 more…."
