It looks to me like they're using photos of Nami (and Robin?) as bait on their fishing poles, since the lion is holding one with a hole in the top and what looks like a big hook in his mouth. Love this pic, can't wait to see a better, clearer version without that huge crease in the middle. ^_^

Isn't Richie purple and white? I think this is just one of the many regular (well, regular for OP) animals that the crew hangs around with during color spreads.

Well, while this color spread is nice and all, the last one kinda had something to do with the current arc, rather than being a fun color spread like this. So with that said, I still think Franky has the highest chance of being the new member. Though it is very tricky of Oda to leave out Franky in this particular spread, I'm not going to suddenly say that Franky is no longer a candidate for the team.
