Oh, he looks nice here!! I had worried on the upper meets lower body parts, but here, he looks gooood. I guess it was an effect of the perspective.

Marco and Perona are almost unsellable and two of the absolute cheapest POPs to get. Amazon regularly has them stocked for around $75 with free shipping.

Completely agree with this. If Jango was with Nami or Daltn then I'd have no issued. But so torn on Eneru whether I want him or not. Also depends on the price. $40 for both is pretty expensive. Might just wait and see if they end up about 800 yen each

I give you the Shirahoshi Hook!!
She is stunning, the detail, paint, scuplt and last buy not least the epic cleavage!
I highly recommend her, the only bad thing is there is only 1 nail hole in the back of her head. When you consider her weight which is alot, I'm worried about hanging her with only 1 nail. I included a size comparison with my Tashigi POP, that was the easiest one to do it with. Too lazy to break out her POP or FAZ.

I feel like if I hung her up I'd get odd looks when my family comes to visit with their small children. uuurgh… I DO need a jewelry hook for my ever growing necklace collection. Looking at the falling prices on mandarake for almost everything, I am definitely starting to feel that preorders are becoming overrated. I see Sanji and Nami SA for less than retail, along with tons of other POPs. It seems everything is being heavily discounted on Amiami/Hobby Search, and then also showing up at Mandarake for cheaper than retail. Somehow I feel that this is something new, but maybe I just haven't been paying good enough attention?

I don't think I'd mind him if it didn't have such a bad base and needed another stick to keep him up. Or the rings looked better.

For Scultures Standard (especially the OP ones), Jango turns out to be pretty good. He might even be the best Scultures OP so far (until Wiper released).

Now, back to what I was saying. Anime and One piece has lost a lot of steam from what I've seen. I am not sure if it was because of the War arc being so epic, but the Fishman's arc just couldn't follow suit. Just look at Manga sales from last year to this year. The manga went from almost 38 million volumes in 2011 to 23.5 million volumes in 2012 on Oricon. (Oricon is kind of like a Japanese rating site. I've peaked at Oricon for music a few times). One piece still blows the other mangas out of the water, but that is a big drop.

I've also seen a huge decline in anime in Japan. Viewership is down. You can read it off the Japanese Wiki (google translate). (It's a long article but the last 1/3 of the article goes over the decrease of anime viewership.)

Lame. So looks like LUcci, Kaku, Jyabura and Spandine are the common figures in vol 30 while Olvia, Tom, Saul and the ship are rares. Nice to see Banpresto being stupid as usual when it comes to deciding who is common and who is rare.

[hide]I was looking through crunchyroll the other day with my boyfriend and we were watching the first 10-15 minutes of a lot of what was on there. We were both really disappointed. It's hard for series to retain originality, and even when they are original, they tend to fall into the same predictable pits and formulas as every other show. Maybe it's that I've been an anime fan for too long (decades now) and I'm not as up on the times and the newer shows as well.
I remember reading an article that talked about how One Piece single handedly saved the Anime and Manga markets. They were in a steady decline, but OP became so popular that it saved the industry. I do wonder sometimes what will happen when OP ends, there's so much riding on it.
I feel that the rerelease and rehashing of old favorites (Kenshin, Dragon Ball <kai>, Sailor Moon, HunterxHunter, etc) is also showing that they are trying to get the old viewers on nostalgia and also hook the younger generation. Additionally perhaps they are grasping at straws for something popular that appeals to many.
As far as figures go, I don't know if they're releasing larger quantities (like everyone wanted them to of POPs) or if it's the economy, or popularity. Most likely a combination of all. I just definitely see more figures on sale, hitting bargain bins and being resold secondhand for cheaper than the release price. Usually we're used to seeing prices skyrocket, but it seems things are settling down. As much as I don't agree that figures gain too much value (Carue) I don't think that they should plummet in price so much. I know that as collectors we value our collection, but at the same time I want my collection to retain monetary value so at least if I ever need to, I can resell them and break even.[/hide]

It was basically about oversaturation of the product and how they aren't rare because more stores are selling etc. And how there's more figure lines now so people who don't want to spend about £100 on a minor character who has had about 2 pages worth of appearances in the entire series
And I discovered that Robin and Chopper have had 3 unique POPs in this year alone. (if we include Neo Repaint and Z to be out within the year) so yay for me I guess.

I'm going to display him with his hat and hair down. SOOOO much more accurate than the original Lucci POP, imho. The original one didn't look like him to me, and I was forever displeased with him. This one's face is just perfect to me, the eyes cold and piercing.

[/hide]My Law has a smudge on his face (looks like he has glitter/eyeliner on next to his nose) but I never bothered to try to fix it. Truth is I really like the sculpt and he's still my favorite GLM. I bought Bepo expressly for Law. I think they look very good together, though I forget their exact height difference/scale to each other. I never did understand though why every GLM Law I see has facial hair that is slightly skewed, not in the middle. I wonder why…?

I don't see how you can consider the POP line to be "failing". Try to find a Kyupin Chopper for less than $150. With the exception of a handful of figures released within this year, what POPs are easily available? Just because recently-released figures aren't sold-out instantly doesn't indicate the line is failing. Allegedly the Strong World POP figures were warming shelves a year ago, and now it would cost WELL over a $1200 just to put together the Straw Hats–and that's presuming you can find rare figures like Strong Edition Luffy or Usopp at all. The Sailing Again Straw Hats will all be sold out and cost a fortune on the aftermarket in another 6 months. Give it time.

Well yeah, I can definitely see a trend of the latest POPs hitting the bargain and becoming less valueable. Probably would be wise to wait a month or two after a certain POP has been released, since there's tons of POPs we got for cheap like that.

POP it seems to be indeed becoming hard to sell. That is why I am selling mine to a price that might be competitive for the sole reason that I offer $5 shipping to the US. I think this way I can loose the less amount possible after I factor in how much I am selling and for how much I bought including shipping to me.
