top 40 at least. But yeah. In the past they done both pre and post TS versions of her. So it was obvious this one was coming.
One Piece Collectibles v.9 Main Discussion - "Remember when they weren't named ?"
-
-
She was ranked 33rd and I think that was before the Zoro training stuff.
-
Sorry, i don't understand the importance of make 2 versions of Perona…but i understand that a lot of people likes her.
She hasn't been really important (she was Usopp's challenger in Thriller Bark and pissed off Zoro in Mihawk's castle over two years) but she's popular. Anyway, if other characters have and are going to have their respective Sailing Again why not Perona?
-
New POP closer pictures.
-
Repint version. Damn. If only it was a Robin POP figure that give you the ability to repint your glass.
-
Thanks, redon. Appreciated as always.
Nothing new actually. Just confirms my intentions of buying nearly all the figures shown at the expo.
-
Despite me not liking the 'style' of Megahouse sculpts in general, I love the route they are taking now with action poses, I'm really glad they are sticking with this trend and this is what I've always wanted to see from them.
Shiliew was a huge suprise for me, I never thought they would do any of Blackbeard Pirates, not in the next 10-20 years before la grande finale. Considering they still haven't made characters like Buggy… But I am very happy about it, of course! He looks really good. The only thing I can complain about is that they sculputed his teeth separetely... He's the only one of BB crew Oda usually draws sans outlining teeth, but it's not that much of a complaint, really! Lovely great details on fabric folders and a really dynamic pose!
Now I can only pray they won't ruin it by colouring his lips brightly like they did on his Mini Big Head figure...Perhona might not be too relevant to the story, but she is one of the nicest One Piece females design-vise, I find her Time Skip outfit terrific, she was high on my wish list. Also think about Megahouse wanting to do female releases, since male characters outnumber females by far.
It's a shame Kid's pose is kind of copied from his Ichiban Kuji figure, but it's still nice. Killer looks really good as well.
And Usopp is my favorite out of SA line (after Shirahoshi, of course) by far! He looks stunning. I like how they did his colours a whole lot!
-
I never seen Shiliew with that pose or any attacking pose. I know he is a swordsman but I remember him battling in the flashback where he slashed prisoners at Impel Down and when he shot Whitebeard with his crewmates.
I think he has removable arms as well. I wish I could see him with his classic setting light to his cigar pose in his POP.
-
Well, they never really copy poses off the scenes, do they? He had a lot of cards like that, I guess…
Shirahoshi's seyu Yukana (also the voice of C.C. from Code Geass) had a concert in Moscow today which I attended and where I was able to get a small video interview with her, which needs to be approved by her staff before I can post it, apparently, they had very weird rules there... But anyway, I got Shirahoshi F-Z ad signed and 2 copies of OP volume 66, one brand new with tags and all, which I am going to sell since I don't really need two. Don't know for how much and if anyone would want to get it, so I will probably auction it on ebay.
-
That's some nice stuff for the shirahoshi fans.
-
I think the entire hotel just heard my screaming. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes.
-
They changed Hattori's pose. I lol'ed. It's quite cute.
I do agree that Robin looks way too shiny here, but hopefully it's due to the lighting. I really want this Robin figure even though I already have the original Neo version. The more Robins in my collection, the better.
-
I feel Kid's face doesn't match his pose.
-
They changed Hattori's pose. I lol'ed. It's quite cute.
I really hope that Megahouse will sell apart the alternative head and Hattori as made with Aokiji coat. I don't want to buy the POP again, but more i see that face more i want it.
-
Hattori still looks stuck on Lucci with blu-tac. So they failed to fix the major problem with that figure in the re-release.
-
Perona isn't important? Without her, Zoro might not be able to join with the crew… She's that important. :p Anyway I like her TS design. Much superior than her IK and FZ. And like Alina wrote, Megahouse did the right thing by making dynamic pose POP. That Usopp is a start. A benchmark to future releases. I still hope they would release a version 2 dynamic pose of Zoro, Luffy, and Nami. Then I might consider to complete the crew.

Woohoo, I think I'll take every new POP, apart from Lucci 1.5 and Limited SA Chopper. Yeah, I already pre-ordered Chopper DX….

Nice, seems usopp is coming with alot of stuff.
-
Fun fact.
Sadi-Chan has a figurarts. A larger line of figures that does 1 or 2 per month
Shilliew has a P.O.P. A larger, more exclusive line of high quality figures.
Neither of these have WCF versions. A line that does 8 figures every month.
Banpresto fail. (I'm excluding Shirahoshi cus I'm certain we'll see her in the next to be revealed set.)
-
Do you have the link? I need the link!!! Gilgamesh and Rider… seriously OMFG. But for Megahouse to be taking over Fate/Zero, I'm not sure if I should be happy about that. Would have preferred GSC.
For the Fate/Zero figures they strictly prohibit taking pictures and some are only on announcement status.
But here's the news about it:
Megahouse Gilgamesh: http://www.plastikitty.com/home/megahobby-expo-spring-2012-megahouses-gilgamesh

more lucci (I think they made him look more sinister and inflated his lips a bit):

Moeyo has more pics, new petit charaland (elisa I bet you will really love this set!): http://www.moeyo.com/2012/05/megahobby_expo_2012_sp_megahouse_2.html
Lucci face is much better now. Previously his face is too round and not badass like a proper villain.

Usopp, with the goggle, happy face, new arm… We would wonder why they can't make Luffy like this. With accessories but still true to the manga art.
He's my favorite POP SA by far. Looking forward to Brook and Franky painted prototype. -

because Sadi-chan actually IS one of those 'fanservice-only chars' you're always complaining about through-and-through, and with Shilliew they're probably just waiting to do a whole Blackbeard crew set. (no idea what's keeping them) either way, WCF's suck now and i don't see why anyone would want them anymore.

Ahahahahahah, so funny!!! Sanji in Kambakka island XD

What do you guys would say? Is that an HK or Toei sticker? I can't quite say by myself and somehow I remember silver stickers with red lettering only being HK; might be wrong as well. Help appreciated and thanks.

My SW Franky has a silver sticker with red ink from Japan, got it a Amiami way back. The stickers even in the exact same spot.
-
Jp ver. It is big silver sticker, red toei cat, without numbers and Japanese wordings..
-
I have to say I really don't like that Lucci Ver. 1.5 at all. I might be biased because I own the original, but the new face just looks off in my opinion. I can't put my finger on it. I just feel the original more closely resembled his appearance in the manga/anime. Maybe it's the beard that's too round or the awkward looking hairlines.

Thanks you guys. I had the same feeling about its origin but it's nonetheless nice to have it confirmed.

I have to disagree with you, it makes me love the new face even more >_<;; I feel like in the original they didn't even get his eyebrows right, his face is too rounded and dull. The new one he looks appropriately cold and his nose and lips more closely resemble the manga (I don't really watch the anime, so I never go by the looks in that interpretation).
[hide][/hide]I'll be throwing down money on this, but I really don't like Megahouse 'improving' sculpts later. Isn't it easier/better to get something right in the first place? u_u;;

you can't really blame MegaHouse. Even a sculptor get better with the time. Sometimes you start something and after some years you see what you would have done differently. ^^
As for me I love the random choices of characters to be made into POP XDDD Moooooore of this at the next MegaHobby event… PLEASE! XD -
I agree with all that maggie said: this Lucci looks better than the first one and that Megahouse should improve the figure when it is going to be released like happened to Robin and Usopp "Sailing Again".
Talking about Usopp, I'm liking him more than before but the month and the price just doesn't do justice. I guess I have to wait when he is released.
PS: But on the other hand and based on what TimeSkipLuffy said, the POP's suffered an important evolution and improving every new figure.

Like tomorrow. -
You didn't miss much at Anime North, Raithos, though I sure wish I could've seen ya!
Ok now that I am at a REAL computer I can properly comment XD
Kid & Killer - Nice sculpts. Not huge fans of them but that's going to make all their fans and Supernova collectors really happy ^_^ I do agree Kid's face is a little off but… Personally I think he looks pretty badass as is.
TS Persona - Looks cute. I'm personally glad they're putting her out there because I don't want to hassle with getting an original Perona and I like the TS version. I know its more fanservice but whatever.
SA!Franky - Sculpt looks kickass but I will probably pass ^^
Choppers - Cute but I'll most likely also pass. The fact they're making one of choppers points as a POP is a really awesome idea though.
Robin repaint - I'm totally picking up because I love the heck out of that sculpt and I don't want to pay an assload for the original. Will be a good deal for me.
Lucci - Woot! Lucci with his hair down <3 I'll get it because I sold my old one and like this alot better.
Shiryuu - My reaction last night was as follows:
someone posts on my FB that there is a Shiryuu POP
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE SHITTING ME OMG IF THIS IS A PRANK IM GOING TO FLIP MY SHITTTTT!"
gets it all pulled up and sees pictures
screaming and shrieking
rolls on the bed
rolls off the bed into the floor
rolls on the floor screaming and squeeing
royally disturbing 2 people I don't knowIt was awesome XD I am so happpyyyyy <3
I think the sculpt looks really good. Though I think his left hand/arm is kind of in an awkward position, in an awkward pose for someone preparing to strike with their sword... Maybe it was done by the same sculptor who made Croc and left his hand out there with nothing to do XD
Anyway I will buy it, love it, and squee all the time ^___^ I wonder if someone from Megahouse is keeping tabs on this place... trying to figure out what they can do to make me spend all my money...

How much Woop Slap merchandise is out there?

I think it was difficult to make the 'perfect' sculpt if they based it on the anime. Looks like now they're revising Lucci with the reference of his manga version.
He's Rob Lucci now. Would they include his coat? Would be awesome if they do.
They keep improving the sculpt but some sculpt was just bad from the start (POP Neo Ace) that whatever efforts they put in it would be a waste. Better come out admitting yes we messed up that one and then make a new one.
That's why I'm against the re-releasing of the Neo SHP bar Nami (Neo ver.1, they didn't choose that version maybe because it would be awkward to have shiny bikini) and Robin. Or maybe Zoro.you can't really blame MegaHouse. Even a sculptor get better with the time. Sometimes you start something and after some years you see what you would have done differently. ^^

Like tomorrow.Hehe poor Luffy never gets the proper treatment. He tried with the JF version but still I'm not impressed. Why is it so hard to sculpt a proper Luffy figure? Even Banpresto have this 'curse'.

Wow, I didn't think the difference was that much on the new Lucci. I didn't bother looking at mine and comparing. Maggie is right, they just did a pretty damn good job at capturing him with the new heads. I hope we get the option to get them separate, but if not, then I'm going to get one for sure. Guess I'll have to sell my one now.
-
I'll be throwing down money on this, but I really don't like Megahouse 'improving' sculpts later. Isn't it easier/better to get something right in the first place? u_u;;
I think that they, at the time of the release, think it was good for their standard and they don't think to re-release it (for Luffy Marineford, instead, for me they have planned this). Then they see how many requests Lucci has in the second market and they re-release it with some variants for tempting who already has it. And they choose to sell it online because with this method they haven't economic losses for unsold POP. With shop online they print on demand, so what they produce is already sold (for them).
-
Yeah it's been some time since Lucci was done. It's still kinda a random one to do. Woulda thought Zoro or V.1 Nami woulda been in more demand (Or Carue or Bellemere)
-
I am just happy that megahouse is rereleasing old POP like Nico Robin & Rob Lucci.
Slowly but surely they will do the rest.
Its just a matter of time. -
Then hopefully not all of them will get shiny counterparts. It might look good on some figures but imagining all of them being that shiny… no.
-

They'll only do it on the ones they know people will buy/rebuy. Problem with that Robin is that she's a single solid figure. Aside from her hat there aint any accessories or able to do alt heads or anything like they do with most of them.
-
Oh she doesn't need any other accessories than her hat. She looks gorgeous the way she is now and naturally justifies a purchase; or multiple ones for that matter.
-
And I like figure without accessories. Solid and without joints. Better than joints and seam lines everywhere. Like an action figure.
-
I'd love to see an action figure line for One Piece. There's so much potential in it. Too bad the Bandai S.H was a waste of time. Doing 4 chars and then quitting.
