One Piece stats and game mechanics

I've been thinking about starting this thread but I procrastinated. For a long time, and I don't know how long.

Okay, so I need to explain some things. I haven't decided how much power anger causes a character to gain, but maybe it's 50% extra power. I think for the focus boost in critical condition, it should be 2x extra power and 80% more crit rate. BTW, a crit is a critical hit.
What does a crit mean? It means an attack that halves the effect of defense. I think it should normally happen 10% of the time.

Wounded status is basically less than 3/8 HP. Critical status is less than 1/8 HP. I should also add that characters with the Focused ability can endure fatal hits 50% of the time.

So, uh, damage. I'll add that later. GTG, haha.

Thinking about it, the focus ability is way, way overpowered. So I'll nerf it by having 1 of 4 effects: 2x damage, 100% crit, 50% endure, or 2x evasion for 1 attack. Or maybe more for higher level characters. BTW, endure is withstanding fatal attacks with 1% HP with the minimum of 1 HP.

And I still didn't explain the wound status clearly. It's triggered by having less than 3/8 HP, and it lowers stats like strength, intelligence, and agility. Luffy and Zoro resist this effect by having these effects only when they are in critical condition. However, during attacks where Focus status is in play, the effects of being wounded are ignored.

Fist of Love… Uh, this is only available for use against friendly characters. It doesn't do real damage, but it can knock someone out. It ignores all defenses, resistances, and immunities. I'll give it an attack power of 1000. It's a lot, believe me. And it can be used in rapid fire.

As for actual stats for damage: (attack - opponent's defense) * strength / opponent's vitality. So if your attack is power 10, your strength is 10, your opponent's defense is 0, and your opponent's vitality is 10, the formula works out to (10-0)*10/10 = 10. A vitality of 10 means 100 HP btw. 10 is the average for stats of a regular human (like douriki). A punch is attack power 10. Fist of Love is 1000, good thing it doesn't do real damage.

I need to learn programming, so I can make a game.

Edit: I honestly believe programming game physics, designing the game interface, and creating artwork much harder than imagining game mechanics. Oh, and actually making the game enjoyable, giving good content, is probably the most important but also the most frustrating (except maybe physics and art).
