What do you think? I know it may never reach the popularity it may have had with a TV Deal, but people seem to be more and more acquaintanced with Hulu and Netflix.
One Piece dub on Netflix and Hulu: Suffient Exposure?
-
-
The dub is already on Hulu, and it get's ads some times on the front page. I don't really know what your question is here though..
-
I think the question is whether those venues provide good exposure for "One Piece", to which I say yes.
-
You got my hopes up thinking that it was available to stream instantly on Netflix.
I think that Hulu and Playstation Network having it available is very good for the show.
Hopefully the pricing on PSN will be fixed to allow a person to buy a whole collection for $20 instead of single episodes at 99 cents each. -
They removed the dub from Hulu.
-
-
Well then, that's weird, because they removed a random chunk of episodes.
I'm not very familiar with Hulu, so if this is something they do for every show and I'm just being a dumbass, then, eh. -

Still Netflix in and of itself is great exposure. Though someone would have to look for it if they wanted to watch it. Or if it's recommended to them.
-
Not enough exposure to me if it isn't on a accessible channel like nicktoons or disney.

Too bad America's dumb and wouldn't let most of that stuff fly on those channels.
And I get the feeling it wouldn't fare too well on Adult Swim.
-
T.V really is the best exposure, but until then streaming is better than nothing.

@LUFFY#1:
No they didn't: http://www.hulu.com/one-piece
Thanks for the link
runs off to fave the link to watch later

Well it used to be on the Cartoon Netwrok but the ones I saw were the 4kids dub which really gave a bad image of the show and made it appear too "kiddie show"-like to get popular on Adult Swim. While the manga and orginal Japanese anime are more suited to teens and older, the 4kids really screwed it up… I mean I think of a 5yr old show when I see Marine's totting water guns and one guy (Helmeppo) telling Luffy to stop or Coby will get it ... but he's holding a gun that has a HAMMER on a spring! Yeah, really attractive show, so appealing that even though I loved the manga, I refused to watch it. Unfortuneately that image still bugs some people, even though the anime and most translations are better. Many serious fans that I know buy the unedited DVD and watch the show with subtitles.
I've really wish that I could get ahold of the unedited DVD or get to watch the full series (unedited of course.)

They switched to the Funi dub on Toonami when it came out, then Toonami ceased to exist.
If you want it unedited, then why not just get the Funi DVDs?
