Recently I had to reinstall CCCP and a one or two other related programs, including Direct Vobsub, which is what allows video players to display subtitles. It seems to work fine for Media Player Classic, but for some reason it won't work for Windows Media Player anymore. I imagine that I have to tweak the settings a bit, but it's been so long since I last had to do so that I can't figure out what I should be looking for. So, any help or advice from those more savvy around this kind of stuff would be greatly appreciated.

Media Player Classic should have no problems displaying subtitles by default. You shouldn't have to install anything extra to do it in any media player. Not sure about WMP since I don't use it. CCCP also shouldn't be necessary with Media Player Classic. I'm pretty sure it has all codecs built in.
