Geez, it seems all the threads I make these days are Help threads….
Now onto the problem.
I currently have about 94 songs (divided into 5 different Playlists) on iTunes that I want to burn onto 5 different CD's (the CD's themselves are the standard 700 MB Sony CD-R). I have at my disposal two computers:the Windows Vista Toshiba Laptop that this is being typed on, and a Windows XP Home Computer that is very slow. I have iTunes installed on both of them. I first tried to burn the Playlists on the laptop multiple times, but each time was proven unsuccessful, because I always got the following message: "The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occured (2131)".
This has happened previous times before, and I never really consider it a problem because I can usually burn the CD's on the Windows XP home computer. Not really knowing how to moves the playlists from the iTunes on my laptop to the iTunes on the home computer, I decided to try and transfer them via an 8GB HP Flash Drive (because sending all 94 songs to myself via Yahoo Mail would be excruciatingly tedious and time-consuming.) I thought that this method would work, so I put the songs on the Flash Drive. Sadly, even after transferring the songs to the home computer, I could not play or burn a single song, for I get this message for every song: "The song _____ cannot be played because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" with an explanation point in the leftmost column.
Hence my problem. even though I can't burn the playlists on my laptop, I KNOW that I can do it on the home computer, for I've done it a few times before. I just forgot how I managed it those times.
If anyone has any help, It would be greatly appreciated.
Please.
