PS2 system help

Okay, basically, since I've learned that the new OP PS2 game being released over here is going to be chock full of horrible dub voices and crushed my excitement for its release completely and utterly, I've decided that I want to look into playing Japanese games. I know I have to do something to my system in order to be able to do that but I have no clue what that would be. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance. <– is a gaming noob.

If I'm not mistaken, I think you need one of these? Or some sort of modchip.

My friend installed the modchip for me, so I don't know where its supposed to go.

Even with the dub voices, the gameplay is the same. Although, you'll be able to play other OP games that aren't out now with this so it might be a good idea. I'm not exactly sure what you need to do, check out the link posted above.
