I don't think so. They'll probably get better over time. The problem is they use English slang but they apply it to all the characters so it makes all the characters sounds the same.

Don´t really care about the translation. The series is somewhat popular, so eventually someone will pick it up.
I´m just happy TOG is back.
-
To me, we are missing quality. TheCompany guys were just excellent translators; you could appreciate how they discussed between them all the simple details before the release; so it was like a collective translation from people who loved what they were doing. This doesn't look like that by far. And the viewer is not good, and for sure is inferior to naver korean viewer….
So we begin again with the mysteries. Lets hope we will have a clearer arc in regards to the plot.
-
Sachi Faker looks like Aizen.
He has a special Shinsoo controling ability and is especially good against many opponents at once. Sounds like Aizen too. :ninja:
I don't much like Baam's new look.
And translation will probably improve with time.
-
Yes, lets hope it gets better; and I agree Baam's look is like a good lame boy. It needs a scar…:ninja: ... in the face, because in the soul... Or it needs the scar in the soul to be shown by his eyes. But he's very plain good boy.

The intro to season 3 would have been a lot more exciting if SIU started the chapter showing them in the middle of the test that they were talking about in this chapter.
Aside from that, Viole has gotten even stronger, and just a month ago he was already stronger than B rank regulars, Koon is supposedly stronger than Chang, and Rak is no push over, seems odd for them to be worrying about any competition aside from Cassano and crew, and FUG rankers. (well, I guess it's just Yiwha who is worried)
-
Baam is only stronger when he activates the thorn, but the thorn isn't a reliable power source. Koon raided his father's treasury so he has a bunch of OP items.

Baam would have still stomped someone as strong as reflejo even without the thorn. His main problem with Refeljo was due to the fact that his body was immune to Baam's freeze, he was using hostages, and Baam was roughed up a bit from his fight with beta, and was running around with a hole in his chest. Then thorn allowed him to bypass refeljo's immunity, and he was finally able to land a direct hit on him. He used the thron to attack, but I think he had other devastating moves he could have use if the thorn wasn't an option.
The thorn gives him an extremely strong attack, along with other hax shinsoo moves, but I think Baam would have been able to handle Reflejo just fine if he weren't already battered, and reflejo wasn't using hostages.

Yeah, the thorn isn't really reliable. I forgot which afterword it was but SIU basically said the thorn won't be OP all the time, only when it needs to be OP. What sucks though is there really doesn't seem to be an invisible mode for the thorn. I guess I just got to get used too seeing it's lame design in every single panel that Baam is in.

No. Baam had no chance against Reflejo without the thorn; although Baam w/o the thorn would be among the top C-E ranks, Baam had no chance against Reflejo who was at least a B rank regular (plus Reflejo has his shadow). Even as an irregular, Baam isn't anywhere near the same sort of monster as Urek, Enryu and Phantaminum; while a prodigious shinsoo user, he's still a weakling in the tower since he lacks the power to fully utilize his skills (i.e. if he used Urek's Falcon Punch skill on Reflejo, it would be more like a Falcon Poke).
-
That's just guessing, though.
Reflejo didn't seem THAT impressive.
-
We don't know how powerful is Ban with out the thorn. And it would be weird if with out it, Ban couldn't become stronger by his own. That wouldn't favour his character. Somehow one expects that Baam will be able to do even what the strongest irregulars haven' been able to do. With or without the help of weaponry. His main feature in that respects is his development, his ability to learn and to become more powerful. I hope he will be superior to Enryu in some moment in the future, who or forget or couldn't reuse again his thorn.
-
Yes, lets hope it gets betterl
Mangacow's translation started out pretty bad and got better, so I still have hopes for LINE. It can only get better, right?

That'd be a pretty good intro to season 3, but it looks like you're advocating improvements on this week's chapter–-Naver still lists it as season 2 (two), so it might not be the right time for that kind of chapter.

Oh, and SIU's wrist is fucked.
zumisumi, on 27 Jul 2014 - 11:35, said:Rough Summary of SIU's afterword
SIU apologizes for taking longer than expected. His wrist is actually not yet fully healed and is still feeling pain from the treatment for ligament damage and accumulated fatigue, and was told it's almost impossible to heal. He also got warned that if he resumes the series early, then he'll experience shoulder pain and arthritis, which is why he could only return now. The warning actually still applies until now.
As for the story, he felt he needed to control the pace because of the long absence. The next episode/arc would start probably in two weeks (real world two weeks, not in-universe two weeks). The story would be more specific/detailed than the Workshop Battle, and that there will be various battles.
Information on another Slayer would be released maybe this week or next week.
-
…...SIU..... why
-
I just dont get it: Whats the problem with letting his wrist heal fully? Longer resting time (should still be better then the situation now)? Complicated operation with high risks? Pressure to earn his money somehow?
I am treating ToG like HxH now, something that can stop at any given time and then not resume for a long time.
Sadly, in contrast to HxH there is nothing I am looking forward to in that coming arc and an emphasis on battles doesnt sound so good either. But at least we will have this
@UndeadFailure:Information on another Slayer would be released maybe this week or next week.
(Its kinda sad, that the background info makes me far, far more excited then the story itself)

idk, but going by this
http://handtoelbow.com/wrist-ligament-injury/
What is wrist ligament injury?
! The wrist is by far the most complex joint of the body. It is made up of a platform of 2 bones the ends of the radius and ulna bones. On this bony platform sit a complex arrangement of another 7 bones linked by multiple ligaments between each bone and across several bones at a time both on the back and the front of the wrist. The ligaments may fail through general wear and tear presenting with problems in middle age or later (40+). The ligaments may tear following injury such as a fall, although symptoms may not develop for many tears or even decades. Ligament strain in adolescence/young adulthood may give pain and a localised cyst called a ganglion (this will not be considered further here - see information sheet on ganglion).
The Patients typically present in middle age and later (40yo and onwards) with gradually increasing stiffness/pain/deformity. They may run together or one or other may predominate. Sometime the symptoms will come on quite quickly following a sudden injury which may be quite mild but then tips the joint over from being potentially symptomatic to being symptomatic. The symptoms may increase giving marked disability due to restricted movement and pain both at night and in the day. Te symptoms in younger patients following injury are often very similar to those in middle age although younger patients more often report a sense of instability or a click or clunk with movement.[h=2]What happens if nothing is done?[/h] (This is referred to as the natural history i.e. what happens if Nature runs its own course.)
Some people's symptoms resolve particularly their pain especially if the activities that cause pain are avoided. Many people are left with some long-term stiffness with both a lack of full straightening (extension) and full bending (flexion) but most people can come quite well with a limited range of movement in the wrist (certainly better than some other joints). Some patients develop more pain and stiffness with time. The pain may wake them at night and can be particularly troublesome with twist loading i.e. gripping and twisting something and when taking weight on the cocked back wrist. Patients may in time develop marked pain and increasing disability in their hand affecting both dexterity and grip strength. If this is what SIU has, this is why he probably didn't get the surgery.
Wrist denervation: The idea behind this operation is to cut the nerves taking pain signals from the wrist to the brain so the pain is either not felt or felt much less whilst also NOT damaging the important nerves that provide sensation and movement to the wrist and hand. To remove all the nerve supply (denervate) to the wrist fully is not really feasible. We, like many other surgeons, just divide the 2 small end nerves that lie in the middle of the end of the forearm and take the majority of the pain signals from the wrist to the brain. These nerves are called the anterior and posterior interosseous nerves (AIN and PIN). This is not a very reliable operation so the Hand specialist will typically inject local anaesthetic around these nerves at a clinic visit to assess the likelihood of success. If there is little or no benefit then the operation is unlikely to work. If the injections work for at least several hours then the operation has about a 70% chance of success
Any further operations are only likely to treat the late stages of wrist instability where there is associated wrist arthritis.
Partial wrist fusion/excision of some wrist bones (proximal row carpectomy): These operations aim to remove the pain but retain some movement which is normally enough for most but not all daily activities. The key troublesome bone is the scaphoid bone which is the bone most commonly involved in wrist arthritis. This is removed. Unfortunately the wrist can become unstable so either the majority of the remaining bones (lunate, triquetrum, hamate and capitate) are fused together to make a simple "2 bone wrist". This is known as a scaphoid excision and four quarter fusionA lot more info on the site, basically the operation wouldn't have been a guarantee thing.

Well, that sucks.
-
So it's either time to get some more assistants or learn to draw with his left hand. I wonder if Naver would provide any other help.
-
Crap, I just remembered that a new chapter should have come out in Sunday, then remembered it was on break again.
-
What break? The chapter came out on Sunday:
Mangacow and others stopped scanning it because of requests from Naver.
-
I guess all that talk about the wrist confused me. That and busy work schedule. Also, nobody talked about the events in the chapter. I even clicked on the new chapter on Mangareader, but the beginning looked a lot like the beginning of some of previous chapters and I just thought it was a late update.
Cool, I'll read it tommorow, thanks.

! Best girl returns.

Yuri looks like a man now…
-
So if everyone gathers in a year on the hell train (Even Yuri didn't ride it before =O) then maybe we'll get a year timeskip soon?

So if everyone gathers in a year on the hell train (Even Yuri didn't ride it before =O) then maybe we'll get a year timeskip soon?
Hopefully next chapter. I don't see any merits is showing Wangnan and others becoming stronger. And if anything, SIU should try to cut some corners, considering his condition.
-
No chapter this week, and rumours about maybe a new hiatus.
That didnt took long
-
Yeah, trust some measly rumors, that will help you a lot, geez… The webcomic resumes next week.
-
Rumors or not, we know it can happen at any given time.
-
Just like Togashi can go on hiatus anytime. :ninja:
-
-
SIU said the break last week was for personal reasons and that it won't happen again.
So who else thinks that Yura Ha is Yuri Ha in disguise. Evan can be her promoter.
-
A rather short chapter, wasn't it?
-
I'm pleased with Yuri staring the arc or the season. Hopefully SIU is regretful for torturing his readers with the cryptic arcs of season 2 and he will come back to the good stuff and easier lines of season 1. Please….!!
-
Wow, took me 24 hours to remember TOG came out. That would never happen a year ago.
Anyways, http://thcmpny.com/naver.html.
I only wish it were longer and we got more context for the situation. Hopefully this guy has some role and doesn't just get taken out by another ticket hunter next chapter. And Emily is back again. I could use an app like that in my life.
-
Oh dang, same here. I only now remembered it comes out on Sundays after reading your post. Before the hiatus I never would've forgotten. I guess it's time to get back into SUNDAY-HYPE mode. (no not Game of Thrones sunday hype :P)
-
Then I'm a loyal ToG reader, since I remembered the very same Sunday morning. I hope the one year hiatus will be covered in just one chapter.
-
raw is out but the line version isn't out for some reason.
S2 Ch. 116 Summary
! Boros don't know Emil but found out that ticket hunter used to find his place.
Apprentice comes and says there is another weird guy.
On another Regular Train the Rachel hunt team is massacring people for more ticket.
Ran says he likes here because everyone tries to kill him when they see his ticket.
The problem is they have only 3 atm.
Xiaxia notifies them Emile have announced a Ticket Team Battle Tournament in Train city.
Back to our first train, weird guy aka Baam is asking for tickets and people to go to Train with. -
Well it's out now.
! Even more new team mates? I don't like the possibility very much.
-
Are you sure its not a mistranslation? Why would Baam want even more weak faceless comrades, when the whole chapter is about finding more tickets for the already existing teammates.
-
Well it's out now.
! Even more new team mates? I don't like the possibility very much.
Can't you listen the macabre guffaw of SIU resounding in your head?
-
It's not a mistranslation. He's looking for new teammates for the Train City tournament to win some tickets. New teammates and another tournament. SIU is just trolling us right now.
-
I preferred it when there were tests. Tests were interesting. SIU can do tests well. If Worshop is any indication, SIU isn't that good at tournaments.
-
The one good thing from that chapter is the generic looking thorn is no longer over Baam's shoulder. Which means Baam finally put it into invisible mode or he found a way to seal it until he needs to use it.
-
Chapter is out on webtoon and thecompany's naver.
! I like the fact that Baam knows for sure who's his enemy. This turn makes clear what his attitude towards Rachel; I mean he won't sacrifice his friends for her. And we didn't know what has being thinking about her all this time. It's a nice turn, to me.
-
Bad translation. Missed the "maybe."
-
-
Blah, blah, blah, boring. I might just skip a couple of chapters the way this is going.
-
Random-Webtoon-Fan's correction on Batoto. No full script up that I know of. But why would anyone bother when the official release is published simultaneously with the Korean release?
-
Bam seems pretty pissed off about Rachel.
Maybe i was distracted, but he didn´t gave that vibe in the last arc, did he?
Something must have happened during the time skip.
