Favorite Chapter Cover Art

Don't know if this has been ask but what your favorite chapter cover (this is exculding mini-stories) in OP. Seeing how there more then 300 chapters and counting. There plenty to choose from.

Mine:
Luffy surfing a tide with the Merry Go in the distance.

A bit of a relaxed piece with the group louging around and the caption reading something getting funky (with Ussop holding out a sign reading "Don't Funk" XD )

A wanted poster art that featured Luffy, Nami, and Zoro posing

Another with the group running across a beach with a creature in the background (this was also used in the "Believe" opening)

The "Mugiwara Pirates" sitting on a counch (or standing in Chopper's case) with a giraffe in behind them.

and of course the recent Mugiwara Pirates vs. Cipher Pol 9 colorspread.

Without a doubt the most recent color spread "Mugiwara Pirates vs. Cipher Pol no 9". I just love it.

BTW, IÂ´ve been considering to do a thread similar to this but it wouldnÂ´t be about the covers but about the favorite spread pages in the chapters themselves. You mind if I highjack the thread for that cause or should I start my own thread? :mellow:

that's my favourite one. i printed it and taped on top of my printer/scanner/copier/whatever.

and i also love the one where the crew is in the middle of blooming sakura, having tea, and the atmosphere is so joyful and relaxed.

mugiwara vs cp9 is one of my favs(and most likely will appear as fav to many). but there are plenty of amazing ones. the robin, usopp and luffy as Samurais is good. Don't Funk is very pleasing. I personally like one with archeologist theme and a snake. Decisive Battle at Arlong Park is also nice.

I've thought about that too, and I think it's okay for you to start a new topic - the 2 things are very different, and are capable of creating long lists of favourites…

Colour Spreads: The one with "You Gotta Be Free!" (It's my wallpaper)
SH's versus CP9, and SH Vs. Arlongs gang.
"Now, please relax"

Normal ones: Nami, hitchiking with a fox
Sanij, playing a guitar, with a whale in the Background
Vivi, with a moray-eel

And Of course: "Thats BATH man, Gedatsu!"

Color spreads:
The two Samurai-themed covers; the later one, chapter 373's, is now my desktop background. My only complain is that there's no Usopp. Ah well, he appeared in the first one…
The latest Mugiwara vs CP9 is special for Usopp's new weapon.
The one where they're having noodles! So yummy.
The rainbow eels, too.

Normal chapter covers:
Nami listening to music in the middle of the forest.
Usopp doing archery in the snow.

All those are sooooo much better than Naruto's recent chapter covers. Honestly, get some creativity, Kishimoto!

Mine is from Chapter 45, when Luffy, Nami, Ussop, & Zoro are all on those steps in Fancy clothes, it looks kool.

Does this count non-color? In that case, one of my favorites is the one of Usopp aiming a flaming arrow with some gruff looking dog supervising him.

As for color… I like the two most recent ones (Mugiwara Pirates vs. Cipher Pol 9 and the Hard Path to Return one). ...I know there's a lot more that I like, but those are the only ones that come to mind right now.

You know, here is an interesting question (might have been mentioned before)- I wonder if Oda made the first samurai colorspread featuring Luffy, Robin, and Usopp because he knew that they wouldn't be in the second one. Hm.

And as for favorites, I'd have to say "Don't Funk", Orange background one with their numbers of joining, the painting "Merry Men" picture, both samurai pictures, and of course, the Mugiwara Pirates vs. Cipher Pol 9.

I love 'Shibaraku' (the one you've all been calling the Luffy/Usopp/Robin one :laugh: ), enough to where I bought a poster of it and it's hanging on the wall in my room. Maybe if I get bugged enough I could scan it in and get up a high-res shot of it since everyone seems to love it so much.

I also like 'The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky' and 'No Brakes', and as for non-color pages I always squeal like crazy when I see that one of Chopper and the seals XD~~~

i like the one that said "ONE PIECE Il y a encore plein de choses que je veux" (what ever that mean …. can someone tranlate it for me ?) ... it's the one with Nami, Robin, and Chopper having some drink ... and Nami & a white cat behind her wearing a red glasses ...... i like that coz it's soooo ..... normal

and "Mugiwara pirates, venture to W7" with a giraffe behind them ..... i love it because everybody look soo smart and elegant ...... even Luffy

I also like that one of them fighting the giant hippo, just because of the text that goes along with it. "Show me what you can do." For some reason that cracks me up.

I think it's called "Just Relax" or something like that. It's the one where Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are all asleep on a park bench along with some birds in a tree while Usopp is explaning plans for an atomic alram clock. It was the first picture of any kind that I ever saw of One Piece.

Yeh I liked that one too….I though that those black stuff at the sides were like trees (in black) and after a loooong time, I realized that those were people, specifically their opponents I guess.

I have a really hard time deciding… "Mugiwara Pirates vs. Cipher Pol no. 9"...... I'll go with this as my favorite color cover. Even without Franky, it's "Decisive Battle at Arlong Park" plus the 357 spread times 10.

I guess my favorite (non-color) would have to be the one with the giant robot versions of Luffy, Zoro, and Nami.
