the definition of canon is that it is written by author.so,even if the movie doesn't fit in the manga continuity,it doesn't make it non-canon.many people are thinking of the word "canon" wrongly.

Not necessary relevant. Canon to the main storyline or not is whatever the author decides.
For example, the creator of El Hazard OVA and TV are the same guy. However, they are two separate storylines, and different alternate world. Events in one has no relevance to the other.

Same goes for City Hunter and Angel Heart.
Or how about Gunnm and Gunnm Last Order? The entire last volume of Gunnm is retconned to have never happened for the LO story to continue.

Whether or not Oda-directed films are relevant to the manga main storyline is whatever Oda decides.

At the Marineford war, when he stepped in front of Akainu to stop him from from more killing. It wasn't so much an attempt to fight, more of a protest - but still a defining moment for Coby, and one you can be sure people took notice of.

i can only see coby as a vice admiral with smoker as the fleet admiral. i love the new design of him (and kizaru, kuzan, helmeppo) so i hope their design in this film will be used in the actual manga later on. kizaru look even more badass with that scarf/shirt thingy underneath his suit.

It says this volume will bring many original ideas Oda came up with for the movie, even scenes storyboarded-ish by him.

What do you guys think when we can expect the movie to be released outside of Japan?

I know from other Japanese movies that it usually takes 6 months after it was released in Japan but those movies are usually not as successful and famous as OP.

We got a subbed version of Strong World in July, so I think we´ll get Film Z next July as well.

! I might be mistaken but the spoilers I've read do not imply that the Shichibukai who cut Z's arm off and the pirate who murdered his family are necessarily the same person.

! Really? That's interesting, thanks for the correction. I think I remember reading someone theorising that whomever murdered his family might have used this as a means of catching Z off guard and taking of his arm. I think this made me assume that it was one person.

The marines are not all from the same time. It's just how they looked when they were simple recruits.
Smoker obviously didn't train at the same time as Garp.
