These are obviously characters from the Strawhats' past that they looked up too. They either died, or aren't seen again so far, at least by them. I think my choice is Shanks.

i read the whole W7 arc once every 2 weeks. are we just crazy?
but i'll go with shanks. that man just kicks ass. especially in buggy's flashback. when he says that yeah, pirates "also" fight and kill people.

then what do u call the first chapter, and besides now since luffy is 17 and he was 7 when shanks lost his arm that makes it a flash back.

a flashback is when they remember the past from the present,
the thing with shanks was a part of the story that took place at that exact time no one was remembering it and then they fast forwarded 10 years thus i dont count it as a flashback and as far as im concerned luffy hasnt had a flashback yet.

No one seems to like Kuina and Bellemere! ^_^ Kuina was cool, since she was the only person (Other than Mihawk) who beat Zoro. I thought Bellemere was such a loving parent, who gave up her life to save her daughters.

Gee, earlier today the first two people I thought of were just Kuina and Bellemere, but there are loads… Hillk (spelt this way in the italian manga), Shanks, Zeff and the list goes on... can't decide... :)
