Ok, this is the all purpose RAW discussion topic. Basically all Raw releases are to discussed in here from here on, as opposed to creating a new topic for every single release & cluttering up the Anime forum.

Any relevant links to episode(s) torrents, ect, can be posted here, but also please make sure to check/post first in the Official Anime Release thread, if a new episode link hasn't been posted.

Anyways, One Piece will be on a break next week. It'll be back on the 4th of next month. =(

Well I didn't necessarily see the need for two topics, since all of this could be done in Straw Hat Luffy's thread.

But I read the other one and Straw Hat Luffy okay'd it so I figured I'd give you a sticky here buddy.

Man, Water 7 is being handled beautifully, and the next episode… Ugh I can wait! The animated unveiling of CP9!

But there was a need. There'd simply be no way both RAW/Geru/Hell and K-F releases could all be discussed harmoniously in that one thread, without people crying foul over the DBF/Water 7 episode spoilers. It just wouldn't have worked.

Yeh, I guess. Sorry, it just sorta sounded like you were going along with it, simply because SHL gave the ok.

We have way too many pinned topic here… As long as the link can be easily found in one of the pinned topics, it'll be easy for people to dig them up. Same to all those "Official" 4kids dub discussion, "Official" internation dub discussion, etc...)

That's fine. This can be the RAW thread, as that was my intention from the start, it doesn't have to be pinned either.

Anyway!

Episode 242 rocked loads of socks. Blueno now officially has the most awesome voice actor in history, and Calipha surprised me as well. Even so, the best part of this episode was probably actually the next episode preview. Which, from the looks of it, will kick ass in multiple departments. The animation looked damn spiffy too.

Though seeing ''Geppou'' in action scores big points.

No episode next week sucks, but the next episode looks to be worth the wait.

This isn't really a spoiler, as in Japan, they've already read past that point in the manga a while ago.

Same with those other titles. They just seem like spoilers to us.

Looks like the pace of water 7 animewise is pretty good. Thats definately welcome.

243 is out! You can grab it from Saiyaman or from wherever you want.

It rocks. Kickass animation (Which the next episode seems to keep up), and some seriously effective directing bags my compliments. Seeing Rokushiki in action was quite an eye-sight. I liked how the directors slipped in little things like Blueno ushering ''Tekkai..'' before smashing Tilestone's hammer.

And as a bonus, we get a Robin eyecatch.

Go see it.

I think they used another character way back once (Was it Sanji?), but it was a one-time occurence. Though I seriously hope they keep it up this time.

Great episode. I like how they expanded on Blueno's arse kicking efforts outside Iceburg's room. Kaku's rankyaku looked really wild & I enjoyed Pauly's scene with Luffy.

Looks like they're going to bridge how Franky, I guess kidnaps Usopp & takes Merry to the warehouse in the anime, where the manga just sort of skipped out on it.

I saw some screencaps from the preview, and I was wondering about that. I always did want to see what happened prior to the scene it actually started with. =) I wonder if it's just assumed expounding like a lot of filler or if it's a case like with Usopp buying the goggles in Loguetown where a panel really was drawn up for the manga but it was cut for time and space.

This episode is AWESOME… O_O!! Though that weird fisheye lens thing during Iceburg and Robin's talk kinda made me go "uhh, not working" a little :laugh: Eyecatch is a plus too ! I sure as hell hope they do the rest of the characters. Toei'll have something to chew on for a while if they don't. grin

Definitely think it's setting up for the Franky/Usopp bridge though.

EDIT - oh heck, I just noticed. When it shows the fake blueprints you can clearly see 'Cutty Flam' spelled on there. No more Kati confusion ? :laugh:

In the manga, you see "Cutty Flam" on the plans and on the wall in the warehouse, if I remember correctly.

No on the blueprints – in the inital shots of the blueprints you see in the manga, it was pointed out the first letter of Cutty was 'K' and that started a HUGE discussion over what it was supposed to be, particularly after Cutty Flam got written down somewhere else (the wall). I remember it very clearly :laugh:

Hm, I don't remember the K being on the blue prints. Well, I guess if it's corrected, then that settles it.

It looks like a "K", and people were thinking it could be "Katie".

Then they thought Franky used to be a woman along with being a Cyborg.

Looking back on that, it looks like Iceburg's name is "Iceburgh".

And thats still one of the most common misspellings in the One Piece fandom. Not that I blame them, it is strange. :wacko:

Lovin' the Robin eyecatch, by the way. I'm so happy they finally pulled out a new one. I can't wait to see the others… but I wonder if we will have to wait another long period of time for the next one to be revealed.

That episode can be summarized in one word:
SUPER~!!! (No Franky though).

The CP9 in action is pure gold, and the entire thing was just well done! And we still haven't seen Shigan and Kamie…

It seems they're gonna elaborate on how Franky takes Usopp in on 244; good thing. It seems to be "skipped" in the manga, but that's how Oda does things sometimes ^^

By 245, I hope we got to see Neko Neko no Mi and the scene where the four CP9 watches the burning Galley-La HQ.

On another note, episode 160 sucks, thanks to Satori's horrible, horrible voice and Impact's uber lame SFX. Seriously, wtf?

I wish I could play episodes on my man, that would be interesting.

No new closing yet. But Eternal Pose has only been going for what, 13 episodes? It could be a new one next week, or it could keep going for another 10 episodes or so.

It's been going for twelve, I think. I dunno when endings usually switch - I know during Skypiea they just kinda flew through 'em like hotcakes, but I think that was because Skypiea isn't exactly the most popular part of OP and they needed to keep fresh interest :laugh: Water Seven is totally exciting and I think the endings are gonna stay a bit longer again. Maybe four or five more episodes for Eternal Pose ? Kokoro no Chizu will probably be switched soon too.

I still like Eternal Pose pretty well though but I miss Mirai Koukai. xD [/takitsuba dork] I just hope the new ending - whatever it is - isn't another bloody punk rock song. Can't stand those =_=

I hope they'll do something a sort of melancholy and angsty. It seems like it would fit with what's going on. And I hope there's some nice animation too. Seeing the time shift is kind of cool, but it's boring after 1 viewing.

The episode itself was well done. I liked the extra stuff between Franky and Usopp. They showed bits of the upcoming flashbacks from Toms Workers and the meeting between Franky and Iceburg. Kind wierd but I guess as usual they just assume we've already read the manga.

Toei seems to be trying some interesting "camera" angles and transitions/cuts. Some of em work–like the shot from underneath the floor--but some of 'em don't (243's crazy fisheye lens aka bad trip effect and this week they basically took one short clip and brought it on screen as a drop down quite slowly).

All and all, the anime is better than ever, and this episode leaves off on one of the most exciting scenes of early Water 7, where they break in on CP9 and Iceburg!

Can't wait for next ep! XD

It finishes at the end of chapter 346! Whoa! It was only one chapter long! Didn't realize till I looked back through. I guess that's why they threw in the flashbacks and the Franky/Usopp exchange. Pretty impressive to stretch one chapter out like that. I guess Lucchi does blab a lot though.

Really? I could have sworn by the way people were talking about the 243 that it ended at the end of chapter 346, unless people were talking about the previews. I haven't downloaded the raws for a while.
