Here's a few:
Tear-jerking songs that will melt your soul…
-
Here's a few:
-
could you pls use spoilers.
-
Pages load the same whether they're hidden or not. But if you're going to post more than 2 it helps keep the thread neater looking to hide them.
-
no, with spoilers, the vids in it will only load after you clicked the spoiler.
-
I might just be behind on the times, I remember in the past it was brought up that the spoiler tags only hide the images, unless you have certain kinds of browser extensions. Maybe all the browsers have caught up with this technology, though. Any mods want to confirm this?
-
Watch the videos, they make the songs that much more heartbreaking~

Dammit Moke. ;___;

Funny story. You know that scene where Buzz tries to fly and plummets like a rock?
It almost made me cry once. I saw it about a hundred times, and yet at one point it randomly got me teary eyed. Who knows why? :/ Never happened again after that.
I know this song didn't help.
Actually, the song in full is kind of depressing. -
Dammit Moke. ;___;
I'm sorry~ D:
I still cry at Alyssa Lies and She Misses Him if that helps ;3;Had to watch the movie like 5 times in a row as a kid before I finally stopped crying at this song
-
Gaahh. Concrete Angel always gets me. :/

Some really neat posts the past week.
I'm really amazed just how diverse a tearjerker can be you know. I usually viewed it as being one rough class of music genre, but in truth tearjerkers can be found in just about every genre, be it through the nice beat, mellow tones or simply the lyrics….its everywhere.
I wonder if there is a mainstream genre that can't fit into this somewhere?
Here's some rap to boost its presence in this thread.

All By Myself - Eric Carmen
-
From what I remember, I've only ever cried due to song along once (it's probably happened more than once, but if so the memories have fled me). Either way, the song I cried to was "Only One I Trust" by City High.
It's been a long while since I've heard it, but I imagine it's retained its sorrowful qualities. Give it a listen - tell me what you think :)
!
-
I don't know if this has been posted yet (even by me) but its a good'n.

Goodbye May Seem Forever from Fox and the Hound. God this song. I remember listening to it when one of my pets had to be put to sleep.
-
!
Lyrics are in the description.
-
Strange. None of these songs seem to affect me in any way. The sadness no longer reaches me from these sad songs.
Must have a heart of Iron.

The ending song from the very sad "jurassic bark" episode in futurama.

Its to bright and cheerful. I demand shady tones of grey over depressing music!

Well, this just ruined me.

I don't normally get all teary-eyed at a song, being a manly man made of sweat, metal and with emotions so inert I can use them as a shielding gas while welding manly things, but the Mountain Goats can get to me. If this song doesn't make you cry in some capacity, that's a strong indication of having no soul, or perhaps no tear ducts:
-
-
^Fuckin' Mountain Goats. I didn't even have to look at your post to know it was going to be Mountain Goats.
EDIT: That was directed at you, Wagomu.

Yeah, it made me cry. Especially since my mom is still fighting cancer and I have just lost a friend to cancer very recently.

Rep the Goats every day man.
It's not like I can't find other bands that bleary my eyes, but that song is in a world of its own.
Yeah, it made me cry. Especially since my mom is still fighting cancer and I have just lost a friend to cancer very recently.
I couldn't even begin to relate. I wish her the best.

Kind of surprised I didn't already post this one
The husband of the friend who passed away hasn't stopped playing this since I sent it to him.

Yes, I agree with you. This video made me cry a lot.

A white sloping path runs up into the sky
A gently swaying, misty haze
Surrounding and holding
Unnoticed by anyone, all alone
Soaring upward
Not afraid of anything
Dancing up
Longing to be in the sky
Speeding through the sky
A whole life, a vapor trail
Even before dying
From that window, up high
Watching the sky
Now no one understands
No one would understand
All they could think was
"Too young"
Yet... happy
Longing to be in the sky
Speeding through the sky
A whole life, a vapor trail
