..uh, how is this slow? They're covering 3 Strawhats this week and 4 next week. There's no need for filler.
If anything, looks like the next episode could be rushed.

Aaw, entitled to what? Wanting them to cover stuff? They've gone from putting in filler into one or two episodes to literally putting at least 5 or so minutes of filler in every episode of this entire arc.
However, I still enjoy watching it and won't stop any time soon, so you can calm yourself down.

We NEED more throwaway filler. Just one good filler arc that'll last 13-26 episodes before the New World would have been awesome… We need more throwaway filler so that the actual arcs are well paced...

This episode was fantastic! I especially loved how Sanji and Nami's stories were newly animated. They added new feel for it, which was one of the reasons I'm sure people will love it. The thing with the old men on Weatheria was the only problem I had with this episode. I loved the jokes with the Okamas trying to put the "sweet" dress on Sanji. It was all so good.
Words cannot express the majesty of Franky's scene in this episode. It was more than I ever could have imagined. I laughed out loud at him giving the thumbs-up while on fire. Next week looks good too!

Man, this was such a great episode! It just went by so fast, and I loved Sanji's portion! What I wouldn't give to see him actually fight through all those New Kamas, 'cause that ending scene with him fighting them was awesome!
I loved the music at the end. My main problem was that the anime showed the normal nonmaster okama brushing off Sanji's attacks like they're nothing. I know they are supposed to be strong, but the only ones who should even be slightly capable of that should be the masters, with the main threat of the normal okama being that although they're weaker than Sanji, they're a ton of them and they're constantly chasing him and attacking him to whittle down endurance. Here it seems like each okama (since they make it seem like the only one of the masters there was Carol) is at least as strong as Sanji
Also, Tiger Franky's thumbs up scene was pure win

The animation, the music, everything just seemed to work perfectly!
Nami's part brought back a surge of emotion from the Arlong arc, Franky's part was hilarious, and Sanji's part was pure badassery.
Fantastic episode! Beautiful art and animation! Especially love the fact that the old flashbacks were re-animated. It made my day.
Next week looks great as well. From the looks of things, we have Brooke, Usopp, Robin and Zoro next week so I guess we'll have Luffy on 516. That means that we'll either have non-story related filler or the big skip for 517. CAN'T WAIT!

! timeskip. We already know that both from the title, and the date its airing on (10/2)
I really liked how Nami's flashbacks were split up throughout her section as it made the payoff at the end all the better. It always strikes me how different Nami looks in that shot of her right after Luffy puts his hat on her head. It must be how much more detailed her eyes are there compared to normal. Rather shojo-esque.
Flaming tiger thumbs up was win.
Sanji finally gets his Movie 10 music! Pretty badass, despite that scene largely consisting of him getting beat up.
And because it bears repeating, Kawamura's work is boss.

Chaotic episode but the atmosphere was superior to the manga. Reanimated scenes are always welcome, if they could always do OP's new 'condensed' style when reanimating stuff that would be nice. I especially loved Franky and Sanji's part… making a scene emotional while wearing something silly like a tiger suit is one of One Piece's penchants.
And the preview for 515 and that it includes all the remaining crew members gives me more hope for 516 being super-special-chocolaty-awesome. _

Better to be neutral about it and consider that they're reserving a whole new 'We Are!' song for that episode. Cautiously optimistic is always a good way to go. Me and a lot of other people are hoping part of it's a recap of the pivotal points of the series, along with Luffy and Rayleigh's stuff. If not, whoop de doo, still a new We Are, but I think 516 is going to be great.

I also liked how this episode had sort of an ethereal effect on it, especially at Sanji's part. Kind of emphasizes the funk that they're all in.

they chose to adapt part of ch.597 in advance on the next episode leaving room for something else, i can only assume the last episode before the timeskip will be really special
Awesome episode. Amazing art, amazing coloring. Great work. Loved the reanimation, and I've been enjoying the way they have been using the flashbacks to explain each SH's newly ignited desire to help Luffy. Looking forward to the next episode.

I loved today's One Piece episode. It was directed nicely. Also, it was hilarious. Also fantastic artwork by Atsuko Kawamura.
I thought Nami's part was very sweet where she talked about wanting to learn about the new world weather to better help Luffy become the pirate king. Franky's part was hilarious. I was cracking up the entire time he was running through the mountain as a tiger on fire. Sanji's part was great too, though I wish I could have seen more of his fight with the New Kama
I'm looking foreward to next week. I just hope it's not too crammed with showing four characters.
I am kinda loving this with the crew. Unlike the horribly dragged out Ace ,Sabo story which I couldn't stand by the one I actually yearn to see more of the Straw Hats and what they are going through with the training. I actually wouldn't mind if they do a large Christmas Special simply for this
I can't wait for next week. I am especially curious if they would actually show Robin's way of getting strongers. If I remember right this was left a mystery in the anime. I am kinda curious how exactly she training
Sanji's part of this episode was just way too impressive for the surroundings.
If anyone was looking at it from the outside not knowing anything about the character then it would probably be just a bizarre fetish anime shot. But when you know and understand Sanji and you've followed it in the manga it just makes the episode almost explode.
Nami's part definitely had me feeling the emotions - and Franky's was just the right amount of time - I like the Devil Fruit in the drawings sneak peak too.
You know I really think Oda has had a hand in helping the direction of the anime leading up to the Time Skip just to ensure that anything filler works well with the Manga as well as the Anime - except for Caroline I think once they brought her in they were going to stick to that continuity.

Wow, Nami's opening scene, THAT, was naughty…
I really enjoyed the flashbacks of Luffy and Nami around Arlong Park. They did a great job illustrating the parallelism between Luffy helping Nami and Nami returning the favor.
Really enjoyed this episode - it's nice to see the crew some more before the whole upgrade. ^.^ And I couldn't help laughing at both Franky and Sanji's parts. Especially Sanji freaking out each time the okamas got too close and personal. Hilarious.
I liked the updated scenes too. A very nice surprise there.
Also, the balance of the scenes are pretty good - there's the emotional scene, the funny scene and the badass scene. Next week… hm. Calling them now - emotional for Zoro and Robin's scenes, funny for Usopp and Brook's. Badass for both Zoro (of course) and Usopp too. Can't wait!
