It just strucked me… If the Strawhat's destination is raftel island... then why don't they just get an Eternal Pose that is set on that island. Matter of fact, why don't all pirates who want One Piece do this?
A Raftel Eternal Pose
-
-
If I'm not mistaken, nobody knows where Raftel is exactly.
So how could one create a pose to a place no one has even been?
-
Plus such a thing would be very rare and expensive I think.
-
If it actually exists anyway…
-
I think you need a mineral from the island to make an eternal pose that points there, so since no-one except roger has been to Raftel, I doubt they exist. Also, if you just follow the log poses you'll get there eventually too, and have some nice pitstops on the islands along the way for refueling (and exciting adventures).
-
Well that would suck all the fun right out of it, wouldn't it now?
-
Perhaps "eternal" poses are not so "eternal" as to be very useful. If the bizarre magnetism of the GL islands makes a regular compass useless, perhaps they'll also throw an eternal pose off beyond a certain range– too much conflicting information from other islands. And Raftel is so far "back" that you'd be getting almost no magnetic signal from Reverse Island
-
Because the only person known to have reached Raftel was Gol D. Roger and he probably didn't want everyone just having a easy way to unveil the mystery
And also the Eternal Pose probably needs to be done by someone with a great crafting skill
-
If you get an enternal pose to raftel then the straw-hat would miss many adventures and where are the fun?

Well yeah, I understand Oda would'nt do that because then the story will end rather quickly but let's think logicly now… It's been 20 years since the great age of pirates started... Surely SOMEONE could've got an Eternal Pose that points to Raftel by now...

best reason for no eternal pose to raftel. and they're not at the half of the grand line, just be patient, even if they had an eternal pose, that would take forever to go there directly and would bother luffy a lot.

Dont you think theres more to it then just sailing there? If it wouldnt, youre right, somebody would have found a long time ago….. However, my guesses are that Raftel cant be reached by ordinary means, kinda like Skypia I guess.
-
Skypeia… it should be possible to make an Eternal Pose for it; it gives off a magnetic field after all. Raftel... think of it as the most dangerous part of the Bermuda Triangle. Why is the Bermuda Triangle mapped with very little detail? That's because it's dangerous and few have went there and back. Why is Raftel unmarked too? That's because it's dangerous, and few have went there and back, and those few probably aren't going to tell the world how they did it, although they might have kept a log.
SO like many people have very logically and sensibly pointed out, how would one craft an object to indicate a place if they don't know where the place is? Please, ponder this before believing that it's been SOOO LONG and SOMEONE would have DEFINITELY made one BY NOW. Thanks (:

Not necessarily, the only known person to have went there was Gold Roger. If he made an Eternal Pose, it was probably either lost during his capture or his crew still has it. Anybody else would have used it by now, so it either doesn't exist or is currently in the hands of somebody that is neither willing to claim Roger's title for themselves or willing to let somebody else have it.
As far as just using a regular Pose from the last island before Raftel, I doubt that it's even that easy. The Grand Line probably has some nasty surprises in store for anybody getting close to Raftel and the island itself probably has a few tricks of its own.
