All the old one piece chapters are really bad quality compared with the scans we have now, i'm talking about chapters 1 - … .
So I was wondering if there are groups that have redone all the old scans and where I can find them.

To be honest, I don't think any scanlation team has ever redone the early chapters of One Piece; they just tend to the current chapters. I think the best you'll get is Stephen's translations of the chapters here on Arlong Park Forums. So far he's uploaded up to Volume 31 (chapter 295) although he did up to chapter 545 or so on his old website. Eventually, he'll upload up to then and then work on those he hadn't translated. And he doesn't want his translations to be used for scanlations. However, if I'm wrong and a group has redone the old chapters, then someone can correct me on this.

Our team is editing One Piece in high quality from the first chapter.
We have finished the first volume and gradually also we will edit the other volumes.
Obviously the volumes are in Italian, so I don't know if you might be interested

And his sofar not converted chapters can be found using the wayback maschine. I've never seen old chapter HD scans either.

Is it wrong to want a digital copy of the physical volumes? On top of that, some terms were changed, like Zoro's name. I know it's for legal purposes, but it's a "mistake" that bothers me. I own a couple volumes as it is, but the convenience of having an entire collection on my network is really nice. Shame that the community has decided it's impossible to download scanlations and then decide to purchase later. I know I wouldn't be all that interested in purchasing the manga if I hadn't read it all those years ago. And I started with scanlations. Now that NULL has taken down the first 19 volumes, getting into One Piece in America is costly unless you want to read low quality scans. In the long run, scanlations are going to bring Oda, Viz, and Funimation more money than a world without them. No western fans -> No purchases -> No merchandising. I've spent hundreds on One Piece POP figures, volumes, flags, you name it. Without HQ scans of the early volumes, I'd never have spent all of that.
Thinking that scanlations are lost sales is backwards thinking.

- Seriously, f*** online manga readers. They always put up the speed scans with the worst quality in the race of being the first to release. Also, watermarks, reducing traffic to scanlator sites, resizing images, etc.

Don't bother with online readers. The only one ever worth using shut itself down a couple years back. Even then, having the downloaded chapters is really nice. Use CDisplay to view them. If the filers are named properly, CDisplay with automatically do the hard stuff for you.
The real question is: anyone know of groups doing HQ English scans these days? For the new chapters, of course. Seems like NULL was the only one doing anything, and they quit while behind. The only halfway decent scans I've found are all watermarked and the translations leave a lot to be desired. Are there any active English groups anymore? I kind of dropped out of the community for awhile and Franky House seems to have shut down some time ago.

Però io non sono d'accordo, o quantomeno capisco perché lo fanno: nel tradurre un capitolo ci sono in mezzo non solo scelte stilistiche (come la grafia o la resa delle frasi) ma anche questioni di traduzione, oltre ad ovviamente la qualità grafica del capitolo stesso, perciò due gruppi diversi potrebbero fare un lavoro del tutto diverso… e quindi chi ha questa passione è naturale che voglia realizzare la sua personale versione perfetta. Ad esempio se tu avessi la passione di tradurre dal giapponese, non ti verrebbe voglia di far parte di un gruppo di traduzione, di metterne su uno, oppure anche solo di tradurti i capitoli personalmente (compresi quelli dei primi volumi)? Io lo trovo perfettamente naturale...

Per gli anglofoni ce n'erano decisamente di piu fino a un paio di anni fa, e si vedeva sulla qualità dei capitoli, ora che ci sono rimasti i mangastream e pochi altri le traduzioni in inglese fanno vomitare. belli i tempi di cnet e franky house, in cui si faceva a gara per avere la traduzione migliore.. e i risultati si vedevano… la mia collezione di capitoli in inglese si è conclusa con l'addio di cnet, con molto rammarico.

Cavolo è vero gnappo infatti è da un bel po' di tempo a questa parte che stavo proprio pensando che le traduzioni inglesi sono taaanto ad occhio… e anche molte di quelle in ita se è per questo... difatti ora come ora non so più dove andare a sbattere la testa se mi ritrovo davanti delle parti dubbie e voglio leggere una traduzione che mi chiarisca come stanno le cose... tu hai qualche consiglio?

cnet è solo un traduttore che posta le sue traduzioni su mangahelpers erano altri gruppi che le usavano per farci i capitoli.
Infatti se andate su mangahelpers potete trovare le sue traduzioni di one piece che posta ogni settimana asd E questo dovrebbe rispondere anche alla domanda di siegil. -

Ora basta trovare qualche scanlator che usi le sue traduzioni a sbafo ,..,

Ne ho giusto appena approfittato per guardare una traduzione che reputavo dubbia, ovvero quando appioppano una taglia di 400 milioni a Jinbe (cap 635, pag 4)… cnet ha tradotto con
"That's the first fishman ever to serve as a member of the Royal Shichibukai...!! // I heard his bounty went over four hundred million after he abandoned his post!!"
Se la traduzione di cnet e' veramente affidabile come dite, questo di certo va a sfavore di Jinbe in ciurma... gia' se ha una taglia di 400 milioni credo che sia improbabile che Oda lo voglia davvero in ciurma... se ha una taglia addirittura superiore beh, mi sembra davvero impossibile! Staremo a vedere (ps: cazzo Oda ma non potevi mettegli una taglia piu' bassa??? Cosi' stona troppo in ciurma!)...

Io ho come il sentore che le taglie di tutti i mugi faranno un bel levelup in seguito alla loro ricomparsa, visto pure che i big 3 riescono a tirare giu un pacifista con gli starnuti…

Mmm io aspetterei il prox capitolo per sapere se jimbe entri o meno in ciurma con certezza, non so se si potrebbe anche creare un topic apposito perchè qui stiamo finendo ot, cqm io credo che rufy andra a finire almeno a 500 milioni per il solo fatto di essere riapparso e per la sua nuova forza, gli altri potrebbero aumentare anche loro di un 100 milioni a testa, quella di zoro e sanji di 200 milioni perchè buttano giu i pacifista senza sforzo e poi si adegueranno più avanti a quella di jimbe, alla prossima saga in cui i mugi creeranno scalpore (potrebbe succedere anche qui)
