Heaertwarming IRL stuff…I swear we had a thread like that named "The little things in life" or something.
A thing that made my day two weeks ago, was when I went to buy some food from a local shop, that sold specialities. The place also sold some confectionaries , and the shop owner asked me if I wanted to buy some for later, as a dessert ( I think I might have been staring at the sweets like an idiot and that's why he asked hahah...).
I counted my money and told him I didn't have enough, but maybe next time. He smiled and just packed me my food. When I got home and packed out the stuff, I see this little package with those sweets inside too, which he must have sneaked inside when I wasn't looking.
WHY YOU HAVE TO BE SO FRIENDLY, WHY!? :cwy:
I later ate them with my family with tears in my eyes. I still have the urge to pay him back for this extremely friendly gesture.

Tigerlilly's story reminds me of something that happened when I went to Scotland a few months ago, just me and two friends my age. We had just arrived in Edinburugh and we couldn't find the place we were staying on any map, so we started walking until we found this taxi. Of course the guy knew where to go and we hopped in and found we'd (naturally) been going in the wrong direction.
When we arrived he got all our bags out for us and then refused our money, told us to save it and have a good time. I don't know who that man was, but we started our holiday with a smile on our faces and a great impression of the Scots.
When I lived in Japan, there was a time when I was looking for the American Embassy for some paperwork to do with my visa, and I got lost. A kind man, obviously on his way to work, stopped, asked if I as lost, then walked me all the way there–about 45 minutes away (since I'd been going the wrong way too). Once there he told me he needed to leave to get to work, lol, so he was late because he helped me.

That some strangers are sometimes so nice is such a heartwarming expierence that it`s no wonder that you had tears in your eyes.(you know that i expierenced something similar not long ago)
Such situations make me always question myself and lead me to the solution that even when you had the shittiest day in your life but still managed to be kind to someone else, he\she will think about you.(like you thought about that salesman)
That should be enough for you to fall asleep with a smile even when tears would be more appropiate.

When my Daddy passed away, I literally had HUNDREDS of people I didn't know from throughout Deviantart sending me notes and comments on my facebook page. It made me feel good to know that so many people I didn't know cared enough to tell me their condolences ;v;
For months after she started learning to talk, my niece wouldn't say my name. I'm not sure if she didn't know how or just didn't want to. One day I was teasing and said "Say Karen" she did and I spazzed for like 10 minutes <3333

Today was a very, VERY fucked up day for me.
After school I came home and had two yellow letters from the post office in my mail box. One told me to get a package from my neighbor. So I went up to the neighbor.
Guess what it was.
Red roses. From my boyfriend.
It's the first time ever I got flowers from a boy :D I feel so special and awesome
And I still don't know what the other thing is, as I have to get it tomorrow from the post office after school.
And I only had like 5min to admire my roses before I had to leave for work. But damn, I smiled the whole time!

When my daughter was born, we were told there was a 99.9% chance she'd be in a wheelchair and would never have function of her right side. Just before her first birthday, she took her first step in front of my family. She is now 7 years old, is now running, climbing, writing (right-handed, funnily enough..), playing video games, swimming… doing -everything- those doctors said she'd never do.
She's my inspiration for everything.
That right there….I have no words....I really want to thank the kind mod who opened this thread again. That story alone made it worth it.

.. So… Today one of the most heartwarming things ever happened to me.
Little backstory. I'm attending that fashion school in the fifths week now.
We have this one little bakery across the street where we would always go in our breaks.
And since a week now I always wanted to get a "Bockwurst" (Sausage for lack of better word) but I either had no money or they were already sold out.
Yesterday I FINALLY had money and got THE LAST ONE. I was the happiest girl.
.... If there wouldn't have been my clumsiness. I let it fall. Before I could even take one fuckin bite. And it was raining, so the ground was dirty as hell.
I swear, I was close to tears, lol.
This morning I came to school and one of my classmates said to me:
"Sabsy, I have something for you!"
"Eh?"
"Bockwurst"
"... what"
".. Because you let yours fall yesterday and you were so sad. I saw them this morning in my fridge, so I took em with me for you :)"

Yeah, it seems fast, i'll try to 'splain it a bit for those interested. We're both muslim, and in Islam we don't practice dragged out premarital relationships, from the very beginning it is known "I'm getting to know you for the purpose of marriage". This is totally opposite to western culture, and I totally understand how it seems all "OMG SO FAST, HOW DO YOU KNOW HE'S THE ONE?! WHAT IF HE'S HIDING THINGS" etc, but I find it to be a comfort and makes me feel secure. When we first started talking this past while, he made it known to me that he's interested in me and wants to get to know me for the purpose of marriage. It shows that he's committed and not playing around, shows that he's serious and not looking to back out, that he's in this for keeps. I've experienced a broken heart, and it's one of the worst feelings you can ever feel, so i'm glad to follow these rules and just get married :) I'm not scared at all, i'm looking forward to spending my life with him!
Then we started talking and discussed big issues to the both of us, got a feel for what exactly each of us is looking for in a spouse, technical questions etc. Then he met my family, I met his family, and somewhere in between that we fell in love. And i'm just.. very happy :) He's very mature, and we have SO much in common and are so similar in personality that it feels like I've known him for like 15 years. We clicked instantly. We both feel like this was meant for us, and we're both very much excited to be married :D
This sounds incredibly mushy and gross but really, I feel that this is true love, we both feel that it is, the type that's not going to wear out, the type that will last until we grow old. I've never been the type to want to date around and have lots of relationship experience, i've always been looking for that one companion that I want to spend my life with, and i've been patient, and asked God to give me someone who is good for me and who is compatible with me and who would love me, my match. I've got what I wanted, and faster than I imagined. So, that's about it :)
Oh and trapped, we're having our religious ceremony in a few weeks, and then the big one next year :)
