Apparently, Portuguese channel Panda Biggs is going to start airing One Piece again starting on Sep. 5. No more details are known at this point. Previously, an uncut but ridiculously badly-acted and mistranslated (though I think the translation got better as they went on) dub aired here up to episode 50, and I think the rest of Alabasta aired subtitled. Hoping beyond hope that it's not the same dub as before… and wondering how episodes 51+ will be handled.
One Piece back in Portugal

Today's September 5th, so was it a new dub or the crappy old one?
-
The crappy old one, from what I've heard.
-
Yeah, same old piece of crap. The one where "I ate the Rubber-Rubber Devil Fruit" got mistranslated as "I eat rubber like the devil."

We have like two episodes of Naruto(the dub of that on Sic K is hilarious) and then two episodes of Bleach(the dub sucks man) on Sic Radical and no One Piece? This sucks, I got interested in One Piece when it was on Sic Radical and then I got really sad when they stopped in a random episode (103 from what I remember).
Also can't wait for the 50th time Dragon Ball airs <_<

Well apprently a new season of One Piece (episodes 51-130) was dubbed in Portugal right under our noses! According to some articles I read, it started a couple of months ago on Panda Biggs.
A couple of things I noticed:
-Most of the old voice cast was used from the first 50 episodes that were recorded 8 years ago
-The openings were un-dubbed and left in Japanese (like before) however there are a couple of oddities to point out when it comes to the endings.
*The song RUN RUN RUN was played over ending 3 (meaning the video was still ending 3, but the audio was replaced with that of the previous ending RUN RUN RUN). Likewise, the song Souchinosuke was played over endings 5&6.
*Oddly, the Castilian dubbed version of ending 6 Fish was played over ending 7 o_O
*Weirder yet, ending 8 has an instrumental version of Shining RayI really have to wonder what happened with the endings…
Anyways you can view the episodes here: http://videos.sapo.pt/themixado2/ultimos?order=title#nav1=45
