Apparently after all the years of the project's all-but-official status, Myers closed his deal today to sign on for Austin Powers 4.

International Man of Mystery and Spy Who Shagged Me were both fantastically hilarious. I'm all for a movie on par with those. But Goldmember was horrid. I hope it has quality.

I enjoy Austin Powers and everything, but I'm not so sure about a fourth movie.
I watched 20 minutes of Goldmember on Netflix and stopped because it grated on my mind. I didn't even want to finish it. I remember liking the first one, but then agian… maybe I was a dumb kid.. If I watched it now, would it give me the same feeling as Goldmember? That's the thing. Revisiting nostalgia ruins things for me. Or maybe Goldmember was really just the bad apple of the bunch... I dunno. Help me out here.
Loved the first, was eh on the second, and I didn't mind Goldmember that much, I liked they switched things up a bit on that one.

I thought all three films were good, been waiting for a 4th one… but I can't say I'm not skeptical of it being good. Goldmember kinda reused a lot of material from the first 2 films, and I'm worried that's kinda what they're going to do with the 4th instead of making up new bits.
I have a bad feeling about this….
Well liked all three movies but I am unsure if I like this or not.
It's been too long since the last movie but maybe Myers can make it happen again.

Yeah, not surprised to see this. I loved the first film, and the second one was fun because it had Mini-Me and the (dead-sexy) Fat Bastard. Third movie had some good moments, but I thought it was pretty shitty overall. Cautiously hopeful for the fourth installment, but it's been a while since the last film. I hope the AP4 has some fresh and fun material to work with, and will not be another mediocre rehash like Goldmember.
Actually saw the first one in theaters when it came out and it's classic. The second…without Mini-Me, it would have been pretty bad. Never saw the third, not interested.
Fourth...well, with the Bond 50th next year (and maybe a new movie), the time may be right...just don't dissapoint, Myers.

Part 3 had a brillaint opening, with all the famous actors playing various parts. Beyond tht? Eh.
I'd much rather have a Waynes's World 3 and see what those characters are up to 20 years later. Probably for the best, don't really want that ruined.
Hmm, I guess I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed Goldmember. For me its: Austin Powers: IMOM > Goldmember > Spy Who Shagged Me.
As for a 4th one, eh sure, what the heck.
This should be interesting for sure…....I think I've only seen the first two films but they were a good laugh so as long as they keep the comedy the same I'm game.
The third Austin Powers movie seemed more like a parody of Austin Powers movies to me.
I don't remember Goldmember being that bad. Though, it has been a while since I saw it.
Perhaps I'll marathon all 3 AP movies sometime soon.
Well, I can definitely see why people wouldn't like Goldmember. After all, it did have quite a few cheap jokes and an overreliance on recycled jokes. Not to mention Goldmember (the character) wasn't really amusing at all. Oh, and ugh at that "vhat a tweest!" ending. But, that being said, I do think it was a lot of fun and it did have some really funny moments.

As for Spy Who Shagged Me, while I don't hate it, I just find it to be kind of boring.
I enjoyed Goldmember also!
Goldmember had some great moments (The opening, English English, Random trucker talk with Dr. Evil and Goldmember, Scott being Evil) but overall felt really forced. The Subtitles joke was funny, but went on waaay too long, and Beyonce's character was just kind of…bleh.
