I've been following the project. The cast is great at least - Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgard. On the other hand you have Rihanna.

I want to make a snarky comment about how this movie will bomb using the trademark "You sank my battleship!" line, but can't be assed.
I wonder if they'll put the Battleships into strategic locations such as all on top of each other or bend them in such ways to throw people off. That's the real skill way to play Battleships.

Well, seems like your typical cheesy action flick. Your reactions seem a bit exaggerated. It's not that ridiculous.
This and a Monopoly movie?!!
Okay.. now I demand a Game of Life or Candy Land movie.
I wonder if this will divert some attention.
I don't really understand why they have to associate the movie with the board game. That is where most of the ridiculousness comes from IMO. If they called it something else and never made the connection, it could escape some of this ridicule and be judged for what it is.

HHH could work as a TV show.
"Trouble!" "Operation" could be a hospital drama movie starring Nic Cage and Neil Patrick Harris.
"Trouble!" could be allegorical for the Cold War!
Clue worked because beyond the names, it was just a murder mystery comedy. And the basic premise of the actual game lends itself to interaction and suspense and is mostly between players anyway. Others board games… not so much.
Saw the trailer earlier today and it looks decent. Just wish they didn't slap the board game name on it.
