Honestly him and his DF power were the most threatening thing about the arc. Without him, Impel down would have just been a character reunion.

Oda did well saving the poison user for such an occasion.

Magellan was somewhat cool and unique character. Even I have to admit as much.
But still, there's something about Kureha that just can't be put in words. She has the aura of a good character, and that aura is what gives me the good vibes I seek from reading manga. Magellan never gave me those vibes, therefore I can't vote for him.
