:ninja:
Vote for Hancock, I guess
-
Vote Boa Hancock is a vote for Slytherin, Hogwarts, And another Harry potter stuff!
VOTE BOA HANCOCK! -
When it comes to Warlords, Hancock is one of my favorites. When it comes to Supernova, Drake is definitely not. So yeah, really easy choice.[sorry Mugen but I'll have the chance to campaign tomorrow.]
-
A vote for Hancock is a vote for…
! HAMMOCKS
-
I like both, but I voted for Drake so he doesn't lose so terriblWHAT, HE IS WINNING NOW?
-
Tough decision. I don't really care for either , but I guess Hancock is just a little bit cooler.
-
Vote for the badass Supernova and former rear-admiral who is challenging one of the Yonko, Kaido: X Drake -
Drake was cool and all, (I liked his hat) but his post-timeskip eyepatch thing and haircut are just SO hideous. It's pretty awful, which is a shame, because his pre-timeskip design was great.
I guess I'll go Hancock, since her naive innocent schoolgirl bit amuses me. "He hugged me! Does this mean we're married?" Its a fun contrast to the persona she puts forth.
-
Just for the sake of having a chance of a match between Robin and Hancock, I'm voting for the Snake woman herself!
Sorry Drake, you're just not interesting enough to me, bro! lol
-
I'm just glad that Drake isn't getting curb stomped, especially considering that the only thing that he's done lately is get rid of his magnificent hat.
Seriously getting rid of the hat was the second time I ever said "why Oda, why?" -
I think this has to be the most boring match of all time. So I'm throwing it to the campaigns…
Huh...
Drake it is?
-
X Drake's defeat last year was amazing, it'd be funny if he became all Rob Lucci …
BUT, Hancock is not among my favorite characters, so I'll definitely vote for X. Drake.
-
I'll give Hancock my vote on this one. I'm ok with X Drake too, but I like Hancock a little better.
-
boa.. 69 votes.. if you know what i mean..? :p
-
@melody:
boa.. 69 votes.. if you know what i mean..? :p
Seriously? I'm wavering since Post-timeskip X-Drake doesn't seem as cool as Pre-Timeskip where he wore that awesome hat.
-
Couldn't have been an easier choice. Love disease ruined her for me.
-
:ninja:
Vote for Hancock, I guess
This little line alone is the greatest and most compelling campaign thing ever made. FACT.
-
Hmm. Drake gets over-hyped because of his past as a marine. But he is a T-Rex…
Hancock's love-sickness is annoying as Sanji's nosebleeds. But she was a good ice queen and kicked baby animals...
Campaigns, sway me!
-
Wow, am I late, but I just didn't have any campaign ideas in the days preceding this match, so I couldn't really contribute beyond my vote. Still, after seeing the poll question and getting an idea from PE yesterday, I think I can crank out some stuff. I'm glad that Hancock's doing well, but I'd like to have some sort of hand in this match, especially since Drake has been getting some decent support. For now, I'll just leave you guys with this thing I wrote up last year, during Hancock's match against Usopp:
Poor, Hancock, garnering such animosity for traits that are present in other, more prominent women in the series. I dislike that most matches can't go by without someone expressing very negative opinions regarding the participant that they're not backing, but at least the anti-campaigning rule and the mods keep those kinds of posts to a minimum. But I digress, if there is to be balance, then the negative post needs a rebuttal:
Hancock is a woman who, along with her sisters, was taken from her home at a tender age by slaving human trash and then sold off to the worst scum in the One Piece world. The horrors she suffered at their vile hands can easily be deduced, but it's something I'd just rather not think about. She knew little of the world and absolutely nothing about men, so obviously having such a first encounter left her scarred (both physically and mentally). The thing is, she doesn't hate all men, and never did. What she hates and fears are animals, because that's what the bastards who enslaved her and humiliated her for their amusement are, animals. After she was freed, she respected Fisher Tiger for his efforts and obviously came to view Rayleigh in a positive light, both of whom were men.
But two good men don't redeem the entire gender, especially not in the cutthroat world of pirates that she lives in—a world where, if she were to show any weakness, then she could very well wind up in the same, hopeless situation again. So she hides behind her beauty and so-called "bitchyness" so that she won't be perceived as weak, and never lets down her guard, because she'd rather die than go back. Then along comes a pirate who happens to end up on her isolated, women-only island. This man came to discover her and her sisters' secret, and even risked his life in order to make sure it remained as such, despite being their enemy at the time. This man, when given the choice to benefit himself or others, selflessly cast away his own desires and chose to save the lives of the women who helped him. This man, upon being told of the significance of the mark she and her sisters bare on their backs, didn't turn his back on them in scorn or judge them, but accepted them and let them know that their enemy was his as well.
So, upon meeting such a man, Hancock, whose trauma probably caused her mind to repress certain emotions, was overcome by them. She felt relieved that her secret was still safe and she could continue to live her life; she felt gratitude for meeting someone who protected her and her sisters and she probably felt joy upon learning of this man's actions against her most bitter enemies. Of course, all of those emotions built up and reached the logical conclusion—she fell in love with Monkey D. Luffy, the man that was unlike any other she'd ever met. Given that she has zero experience with love, obviously she doesn't quite know how to carry herself around Luffy, but she knows that she cherishes him and wants to protect him (as evidenced during Impel Down and the war). Her fear of men weakening has been gradual, with Jinbe being treated well because he assisted Luffy and Law being allowed to dock on her island because he could provide Luffy with treatment for his injuries. She by no means tossed aside her fear and hatred of men in an instant. And despite acting like a lovesick schoolgirl around Luffy, she's still one of the strongest (if not the strongest) women that we've been introduced to thus far.
With that said, I'm off to Photoshop to see about those campaigns…
@Big:
Hancock's love-sickness is annoying as Sanji's nosebleeds.
Oh yeah, before I forget… HAHAHAHAHA! No. Not even close.
-
love drake's design, but i have to give it to boa because she's a character i really disliked at first but then really grew on me
-
Avanti popolo, alla riscossa,
Bandiera rossa, Bandiera rossa
Avanti popolo, alla riscossa,
Bandiera rossa trionferà! >!
**Bandiera rossa la trionferà,
Evviva il socialismo e la libertà!Vote for X "Red Flag" Drake, One Piece's original communist!**
-
I miss Drake's hat.
Though i prefer Hancock as a characther especialy after her flashback.
And i found this scene funny. -
Proud and conscious ranks,
Unfurl the Red Flag under the sun!
Workers to the rescue,
The Red Flag will triumph! -
Uh, Huon, are you seriously suggesting that Communism is a favourable ideology worthy of supporting? Because this is looking a lot like anti-campaigning to me.
