It's such a shame that I can't play with the Japanese voices. Would make this sweet looking game even better.

The game will include licensed music in the soundtrack… and the tracklist is not being received well at all.
http://www.siliconera.com/2012/03/30/the-full-list-of-licensed-music-in-lollipop-chainsaw/
I've never heard Five Finger Death Punch (but have heard OF them) and the only song I know of Skillrex is Reptile's Theme (which I think is great) but it seems they're not of popular opinion… then again, Siliconera is kinda a weeaboo based audience.
Features punk and viking metal zombies among its boss fights, fails to have any punk or viking metal on its setlist. I'm not trying to exaggerate when I say that this is the worst licensed music set I've seen for a game. The thing that gets me the most isn't that I don't like any of the artists (aside from Joan Jet), but that they don't even seem that appropriate for the game. At the very least, I was expecting a bunch of pop (Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, etc…) backed up by a few entry-level picks from the genres they attempt to set in effigy. This is a major disappointment from the one aspect of the game that still had me intrigued. If you're going to use a theme, at least read up a bit on it beforehand.
-
Of all the artists, what the hell is SKRILLEX doing in there?
-
Don't forget guys, this is just licensed music featured in the game. Akira Yamaoka is still doing the general soundtrack and Jimmy Urine the boss themes.

Boo PAX!
On the bright side, The game got some press, right? But what a tacky pink outfit. Is it a slowpoke costume or something? Weeooo!! Weeeoooo!! Call the fashion police!!. Arrest that woman for assaulting fashion quick!!
-
Eh. A fair policy I suppose if its been in place. I do agree that it in itself could end up generating some controversy to bring some attention to the game. Too bad she didn't have her 'Ash' outfit with her.

It's one of the alternate costumes in the game, the Rider. It's a motorcycling one-piece… just pink and unzipped.
-
Plenty of complaints?
I always imagined the people who went to PAX woulda wanted to see that sort of thing.
For some reason now I think this game'll see all of the mommys hating on it because of what it contains while they go buy junior the newest call of duty installment

I agree the music is probably not the most appropiate for the game (although You Spin Me Round could be incredibly hilarious depending on the moment. . . .), but some of the bands are at least metal enough. Arch Enemy's Nemesis is the heaviest song they've done in a decade or so, and Children of Bodom's Needled 24/7 is one of the band's last good songs from their last truly good album. So on that regard, at least they chose well, I think.

Boy does it look silly though. Chairleader outfit is fine, but come on. What an unnecessary outfit. why is it unzipped so low? Is she trying to outdo Catwoman? Man!

I know my metal well and they could have easily done better. If they were going on the viking aspect of metal, Amon Amarth is the band everyone knows and loves. Plus they're relatively popular, and about around on the same plane of recognizeability as Arch Enemy and they're definitely not too extreme or out there for the section of the mainstream the game's trying to appeal to. Hell, they could easily have done a lot more menacing than Arch Enemy or Children of Bodom without going too far out. The number of bands throughout all of metal that would want their music in a zombie game is no small value (and a bunch of them would be cheaper to license than the ones they got, too).

Yeah, they could have gone for some Viking/Folk Metal (there are like a billion of those bands), what I meant is, Arch Enemy and Children ARE metal. In these situations what's common is "hey, we'll give the audience some metal music! Yeah, metal!!!", and it's some sort of annoyingly bland metalcore for teens (back in the day it was nu-metal or "alternative" metal). These two bands are quite popular, and even though Children is increasingly trying to appeal to the american audience with each new album, they sound Extreme enough while being catchy and even melodic at times.
Now; these two are adequate for a game with a high school cheerleader slashing zombies with a chainsaw? That I don't know. There're probably better options, yes, maybe more tongue in cheek bands to add to the humoristic element that seems to be prominent during the game(although Bodom do have some "parodical" songs, like
, which could work wonders with the setting). -

Boo PAX!
Talk about overreacting. Poor girl isn't even allowed to show some skin.

I can understand I guess about the biker outfit, if solely for the fact that the only thing that was keeping her tits from bursting out was a tiny string across her chest, but to then tell her she can't wear an outfit that she was wearing earlier at the con no problem and is even the official outfit? Seriously, she had to put pants and a t-shirt on. How many fucking con-goers do you think are walking around in there in skirts and tanktops?

This I agree with however.
Edit: There does seem to be a ban for booth babes at PAX, and cosplay for partial nudity. No idea how that's upheld or anything though since I never go myself.
-
Kinda ironic that the con created by the people who gave us the Fruitfucker is more strict towards stuff like this than any other con.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Turns out James Gunn was a Suda51 fan before he was approached for Lollipop Chainsaw, that's quite cool. Also interesting is that he was originally hired to merely direct the cutscenes, but ultimately branching out to writing the entire script of the game.

-
PAX East demo, chunks of it at least.
Channeling quite a bit of RE4 there. The AI has me worried, it seems to just… stand there ala Dynasty Warriors.
The game has also officially come under attack by the "gaming community" with pretty much only Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture fans defending it. Seeing the game more in depth the gameplay definitely isn't going to change the game and may even be lackluster, but just as Shadows of the Damned was just another third-person shooter but still managed to excel in its design, charm, and writing I'm expecting this won't fail to rock either.
-
Probably because it looks like a generic beat-em-up like Dynasty Warriors and DMC. Except slower and sexier.
-
A new trailer too showcasing Juliet's sisters.
! Dream, to meet Justin Beiber? Oh god…

The older sister is going to die.
Calling this now. -
A few random tidbits from the official Twitter account, most was expected tho, so no huge revelations.
- There will be a Hard difficulty. (usual for Grasshopper)
- There will not be a Demo released. (usual for Grasshopper)
- All the outfits will require unlocking. (no word if unlocking them will come in the form of replay value or by buying them with points ala NMH)
- No PC version planned. (again, usual for Grasshopper)
-
I asked the Twitter account about how the costume unlocking will be done. It'll be done by both achieving certain goals in the game as well as being bought via an in-game store like in No More Heroes.
-
What the dick?
-
I'm not sure if I'll get any bonuses for pre-ordering on Amazon, but I don't care. As long as I'm a killer rabbit and it's unlockable ingame, I don't care for the rest of the outfits.

Amazon gets the Rockabilly outfit, which is based off Bettie Page. All the preorder outfits are based off people with the exception of Goth Girl:
GameStop - Bruce Campbell from Evil Dead II
GameStop PUR - Jimmy Urine from Mindless Self Indulgence
Best Buy - Beyonce from Austin Powers in Goldmember as well as Goth Girl
and as previously mentioned Amazon has Bettie Page. -
I tuned in to X-Play despite my hatred just to see that… hated it.
-
the portrayl of gamers was kinda offensive…
Can't see this on amazon for pre-order. Guess it's an American exclusive again.

I think the preorder outfits are, but no big deal as the Amazon outfit is nothing special.

Some of us are really that geeky or asinine so not really.
-
LP's twitter is still insisting the preorder outfits won't be made available later, so those preordering who don't care about outfits save the code. Probably fetch a nice price on eBay.
-

Outfits? Whuh? No. They said in that advert that they're doing robots. I see no robot edition up for sale :P
UK gets not even outfits. So I'm assuming they'll be up to buy anyways.
-
The official twitter account just confirmed to me that Walmart is going to have Nick keychains for the game, I presume they're packaged with the game tho sadly so I won't be able to get one. :/
-
New trailer, demonstrating some of the combat.
! -
looks like shop.to and amazon have already dropped the price down to £30. Kinda tempted to PO it now. out in 2 weeks right?
-
It's out June 15th for you guys.
-
The keychain I presume Walmart is giving with the game: http://t.co/yr8PgD7p
Disappointment. I was hoping for a plastic model.
-
I pre-ordered from amazon. Apparently getting the goth DLC and another one too. Shopto looks like it's giving a DVD away. Meeeeeeeh
-
If you don't want the outfits you might wanna hold on to them. If they truly don't become DLC you'll be able to get a few bucks for them. I'd buy them off you but EU downloads don't work with US games.
-
Nathan Fillion got an advance copy from James Gunn. He's not even in the game lol. (I think)

lolz any reason as to why he got a copy? This just seems so random.
-
Dammit, people are getting the game. Curse you, broken street dates!
-
This. Game. Is. AWESOME. o_O
-
Gonna get to play it tonight, sadly my day is full of errands.
Biggest Warner Bros. launch ever, beating out Arkham City and Mortal Kombat, btw!
-
biggest? impressive. Didn't think it was that big. Although there aint much else being released atm so could help. Arkham City was released in game season.
I'm quite looking forward to playing it.
