Can't wait for the fights to start, and its so nice to have the Mugiwara back on screen!
I like the idea. Indeed I'm picturing what would happen.
Now with all this developments does someone else thinks that the fight will be somewhat like the marine ford riot and not 1 vs 1. I mean, everyone is at the plaza and there's no need for 90000+ enemies to do nothing (even if they are fodder) while 15 people fight all out so I'm inclined to think that a random chaos in a small space would fit nicely once again. Maybe group fights, 2 vs 2 or even 3 vs 3. And that after the 100000 are taken care of. Another possible scenery is a small brawl before the Noah arrives and use that moment as a device to split everyone up into smaller fights.

I really don't get why people seem to think Luffy's attack beat Hody. Luffy got him with a surprise attack so he didn't have time to put his guard up. It doesn't mean the actual fight will be easy and I doubt Hody actually took that much damage from the hit. Watch as he gets right back up. wipes a bit of blood away, and then acts like it never happened

Nah shirahoshi wont join, but i do think she might have a thing for luffy. I believe in the future of FI or what will be the eventual substitute for FI i think shirahoshi will be as respected as otohime. She will resemble Vivi's character alot
Im looking forward to a strawhats vs all those enemies, unless alot of them got wiped out by the gaon cannon. this reminds me alot of the game skies of arcadia, i wonder if Oda has played it… also i dont reckon the straw hats full potential will be revealed until they have to fight someone extreme like a Yankou or a shichibukai or an admiral

It'd be very interesting if the reason Hody was in so much pain earlier had something to do with the cursed sword. Like if cuts from the cursed sword ached more than usual.
Tbh, apart from telling us that the sword was cursed, Oda hasn't followed up on it much at all.

So Megalo saw Hody shoot Otohime and didn't say anything that day? Weird, but ok I guess. I understand why he wouldn't after befriending Shirahoshi, but before that… well whatever. It's nice that Shirahoshi went to such lengths to honor her mother's dying wish, it's just Megalo I don't understand.

Whoo Nami got an awesome moment! I'm very happy to see her going back to her thieving roots, and the upgraded mirage ability is pretty scary powerful. Poor Absalom had to eat a DF to get a fraction of Nami's new powers. Bonus smiles for her anticipating Luffy going ahead of the plan and Icaros's reactions. Also, Jinbe-chan!! Loooool

That final spread is so... :wub: It's such an intimidatingly powerful attack force, and Jinbe fits into that nicely to me. I also like the return to the theme of "figure out if someone is a friend or not for yourselves." And LOL at Brook being focused on Shirahoshi. Everyone else is ready for battle, while Brook wants panties.

Huh? He had 10 days (which is a lot longer than it took to build the thing in the first place) to install all the weapons he brought back with him. He also said that he'd finished installing all those new weapons before they left Sabaody.

The past couple of weeks before this chapter I wasn't particularly impressed with the events that were unfolding in my favorite series. It just wasn't very enjoyable. This chapter however was pretty damn good. I'm glad we've shifted focus back to the Strawhats since they're characters who I have a vested interest in.
Luffy's line was pretty badass, but what I liked most about it is it's kind of a microcosm of one of my favorite aspects of Luffy's character. He doesn't really care whether Fishman Island likes him or not and he really doesn't understand the politics and history of Fishman Island and the long history of discrimination. All he sees is a bunch of innocent people getting beaten up by an obviously violent and cruel individual (Hody) and he knows he's got to make things right. It's very similar to Arlong where he had no idea about what was going on with Nami's backstory and the history of Arlong lording over the villages he just knew that justice needed to be done.
Luffy may not be smart but he has a excellent sense of justice. If he sees someone who appears to be innocent being oppressed by obviously evil people then he makes sure to set things right; defending the innocent and punishing the guilty. I just really like that because even as someone who greatly values intellectualism I know that sometimes you don't need brains sometimes all you really need is heart! That's what I got out of that statement anyway, and it reminded me that we really do need more people like Luffy in our society. Seriously how can anyone prefer Naruto or Ichigo or (god forbid) Natsu as a protagonist?
And Franky got to use Gaou Cannon which is always cool, so I'm definitely psyched for next chapter!

Sorry, but according to the way Hodi reacted to that gear 2 attack he won't have a chance against Jinbe either.
To be honest I kind of pity him and the commanders now. There is no way they can put up a fight against 9 SH's + a freaking Shichibukai. More pills, maybe?

Awesome chapter anyway… Maybe this is just me, but I got a feeling that SHP will take the letter to tenryubitto -- to Mariejoa. I know It's kind of impossible, but that would be damn awesome twist for sure!
I really hope they will go to Mariejois because of that. Had the thought already when the letter came up in the flashback… It would be amazing. Wreck havoc as soon as the Strawhats are reunited, doesn't that sound like a perfect development? How exactly will turn out is beside the point, but there is just so much potential in developing the plot this way. Also, Vivi :ninja:

Eh. For me he's not interested in saving someone/people just for that either though he inadvertently does. For him to get involved there needs to be a friend/someone he cares about/impressive display of resolve. At least that's how I understood him so far? his personality is so damn simple but this and the ''ready to die but no way am dying yet (comical)display of fear at the thought of dying ' always make me pull my hair someone describe these aspects of luffy's personality to me like a two year old please.
Why would they go to Marijois to bring the letter though?if anything it would be to bring the signatures. But they wouldn't get involved to that extent anyway. Mariejois is not happening so early into the storyline either.

We have to admit that this attack is rather "useless" and so just fitting for such moments.(or destroying smaller ships maybe)
Seeing stuff used that were already introduced helps to get over that feeling that we need every arc new more awesome stuff, so as if the old stuff doesn`t work anymore.
Iam sure there are better options to show some new feature of the Sunny as in this scene, where a new weapon would have had the same effect, because i doubt that any NFP would have been rly harmed by an attack that early, right before the battle begins.But it`s rly cool that Luffy is using the TS just like WB used his MD in the war.

Jinbei has to stand for the beating to make this plan succeed. Lol why only he gets the hard work.Guess its my 2nd time saying this.. but yeah, i don't see Hody as a horrible monster. Even know. Serious mode (and not underwater) of Zorro or maybe even Sanji should be enough to take care of him. What matter is someone "behind" him. there's no proof right now,... right. Still, it would be nice if someone like Dofla suddenly come out to the surface and suddenly laught at Strawhat and defeated Hody and his crew.. then we have a fight between Straw Hat + Jinbei (a shichibukai) against one strong shichibukai.
Then we could see how much has the straw hat improved
