      Hi Everyone,

I have been missing from this forum for 3 - 4 years now.. away from discussing One Piece but am still active in reading it.

Anyway, I was gonna prepare for Halloween and I am really intrigued in dressing as Luffy in his new attire after the timeskip.

However, there is something else I want to do, which is to emit steam to portray his gear 2 form, NOW THAT WILL BE AWESOME..!!

I have searched all over the web and this forum but cant find of anyone that done it before, if anyone were to come across people doing gear 2, please send the links here?

Alternatively, I have theorized one idea, which is to use dry ice. However, to preserve dry ice is a challenge, and WHERE to put the dry ice.

I am actually thinking of vacuuming them, putting small pieces of dry ice in pocket sized vacuumed plastic packs and put in little compartments in the Luffy costume. After which when I decided to go into gear 2, i simply poke a hole or tear the packs and voila! STEAM!!!!!

Does anyone think this will work?

This is a really bad idea.

          1. Dry ice needs water to go from solid to gas to get the billowy effect. Also, it will only fall down due to being heavier than air, not up.
          2. The ice WILL BURN. ESPECIALLY AGAINST YOUR SKIN. You are not supposed to handle it without some sort of heavy protection. A plastic bag and thin layer of fabric will not be enough.

The only way I've seen it done is to get pillow/stuffing batting or many wads of cotton balls to get the "steam" look, and personally, I did not think it looked good. But seriously, dry ice near your body = bad idea.

yea.. I was thinking of putting the dry ice in pockets, not directly onto my skin, dont worry 😉

second possibility: I found a video on homemade smoke bombs… but it might be illegal in my country =(

And I reiterate, a plastic bag or thin layer of fabric (your pocket) will not be enough.
