Welp…Looks like I have a lot of new reading material to go through.
I just realised that SKR is actually a manga, lol.
Where's a good place to read these? Mangareader is triggering my Malware blocker recently.
I have catching up to do. I liked Veritas and The Breaker and enjoy TB:NW well enough. Another that you might enjoy is Dangu, it's about… like, animal-people and warriors and stuff. It's good, slow release schedule.
Vertias style reminds me alot of Capcom's characters. Good stuff. I also like c.A.T…. but I'm not sure if the author is ever going to finish it.

I read at somemanga
@Psywar1:

Some websites have it as manga, others as manhwa. The story and characters are mostly Korean so I assume its a manhwa.
I just read up through 56 on Tower of God and it was really good. The "battle your way up a tower" motif seems to retain some of its power; this reminded me of some of the older manga/anime that I first got in to (YYH, Flame of Recca, early arcs of HxH) in a very good way. I'm moving on to Ares next, I think.
Finally Noblesse 196 is out. XD
I'm trying to read Tower of God but for some reason reading chapter 9 on mangareader.net is impossible. It skips past some important stuff. Is there a better place to read it?

maybe try mangafox
Magician is pretty good.
maybe try mangafox
I kept getting viruses from them. But I think the issue was that I was at work and it was bein weird. Worked just fine at home.
So I read Ares now too and it was fairly good, I like how the author just didn't pull any punches, but at the end everything seemed really arbitrary. I never really got the characters, especially Michael. Also a lot of the other 'strong' characters didn't seem to have much personality (Esteban, Robin, even Baruna). Pretty good though. I tried reading Priest and it was just too stupid, really hard to get into. I'm trying Sun-Ken Rock and Trace now, and they both seem fairly strong. That just leaves Witch Hunter and then I'm out of material again :(
Thanks again for the suggestions.
sooooo I'm really interested now, what are these and where do i read them???
Magician is pretty good.
I'll try that out.

I usually read manhwa at somemanga, mangareader or mangafox.
Shin Angyo Onshi is a must read!!!
I've read Priest up to vol.17, shame it got cancelled.
There's this one manhwa I read, I forgot the title, but it involved this guy, and he was trying to bag his hot older but not by much teacher, and he did, and then they broke up, or something.
I forgot the name, isn't it Decide x Decide or something?
Dunno if I could call it a favourite though. I raged pretty hard, pretty often.

Unbalance X Unbalance?
Korean artists put a lot of effort in details, some of them have outstanding skills.
I'm following Sun-Ken Rock and Cavalier of the Abyss, also a new manga called the Arms Peddler is done by a korean artist (even when the writer is japanese)

I've just looked that up, and I think I read a few chapters into it ages ago when I was looking around for new manga.
pokes the thread
Has anyone else read Transfer Student Storm Bringer? I'm not entirely sure if it's actually complete, as it says The End after chapter 35, but mangareader.net has it as ongoing. Maybe just the first arc is over. I gotta say, it looks a bit sloppy at parts, and some of the dialog grates on me (use of homophobic slang mostly). But I actually laughed a bit while reading it. It's a very quick read too.
Simple premise "Ju Ingong (which literally translates to Main character) has been terrifying all his schoolmates in every school he has been so far. He has one extremely scary face type and whoever lays his eyes on him thinks he is a BAMF. Although… is he really? " I really only gave it a chance because the main character looks like a tanned Hiruma (character from Eye Shield 21) lol.
Noblesse is really really good imo, i'll have to check out a couple of the ones recommended in here
Most of the stuff suggested in here is scanned by EG Scans and The Company, and perhaps SC Scans for a few others. For anyone checking out Cavalier of the Abyss, you should read Immortal Regis first. Sun Ken Rock is a manga, it just takes place in Korea. If you ever read it, you should recall the story begins in Japan, and Ken moves to Korea to become a cop. The Arms Peddler is also a manga. The author/artist of Ares has two other series as well, but the most recent hasn't been scanned yet. I have to agree with prolix's review or Ares, and can't say much more for Nephilim John, the second of that authors' series that has been scanned completely, so who knows if Muryeong will be any good. I like his art though, sketchy as it is. XO Sisters is new, and already went super powered, but that doesn't mean it will suck, per se. It isn't that impressive though. A real shame Veritas never went part 2. The Breaker is picking up the pace. Noblesse has been pretty consistent. Witch Hunter spends entirely too much time on the Baerong Empire's past. I enjoyed Trace for the most part. Etc, etc.
My favorite is Noblesse because of the comedy, but ToG has so much potential (I'm talking One Piece potential). It is probably my 2nd most anticipated weekly release.
The problem I have with Noblesse (as others have said elsewhere) is that it's repetitive. That's probably the biggest reason I'd place Tower of God first, since I agree that ToG has huge potential as a series.
Some websites have it as manga, others as manhwa. The story and characters are mostly Korean so I assume its a manhwa.
But Sun-Ken Rock is definitely a manga not a manhwa! It's owned by the Japanese publisher Shonen Gahosha(Trigun publisher) and runs in the Magazine Young King.
The creator, Boichi, is Korean, but he went to Japan to become a professional Mangaka. He already made titles for Kodansha(Rakia and Hotel in Weekly Mourning) and Shueisha(Wallman in Grand Jump(This is still recent and still running), H.E - The Hunt for Energy in Jump Kai ).
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Most of the stuff suggested in here is scanned by EG Scans and The Company, and perhaps SC Scans for a few others. For anyone checking out Cavalier of the Abyss, you should read Immortal Regis first.
I hate Immortal Regis, mostly because of the huge potential and how was treated in the end. So I don't recommend for anyone to read it!
While I hate Immortal Regis I love Cavalier of the Abyss and I don't think you need to read Immortal Regis to understand it. More if you only read Cavalier of the Abyss you will be able to appreciate better the regis and his enemy(I don't remember the name), because you don't see the stupid way the regis gains power and how the enemy suddenly appears of nowhere. Immortal Regis world building is really bad while Cavalier of the Abyss is pretty good.
So my conclusion is, Cavalier of the Abyss is a must read while Immortal Regis not.

It only occurred to me to post this. Anyway, this thread isn't that old.

batoto or kissmanga
batoto has the best picture quality
kissmanga loads an entire chapter in one page which is very convenient.
The Gamer is a new webcomic that is quite promising
my favorites are:
Shin Angyo Onshi - one of the greatest things I have ever read
UxU
and Veritas was also good

well its by a korean guy working and living in japan so i guess it counts to both.
i love the shit out of SKR but i´d undrstand anyone who disklikes it for the borderline hentai
tried priest some time ago but didn´t get too far as the story and art were both pretty messy, even though i will say the style is pretty interesting
the gamer is awesome stuff, will try tower of god next

Tower of God is the best manhwa I've read, and definitely in my top two best ongoing series I've ever read.
I've only read The Breaker, but I really liked it.
Afterschool War Activities is a very good one (although I am unexperienced concerning manhwa). It is perfect at expressing feelings and the reader simply identifies with many of the characters. A special read, indeed.
