I thought the thread title meant "Soft FPS by Gearbox", not soft as in software after Gearbox's name. Not sure I've ever heard them called that. Anyway, never really liked any of Gearbox's games but still kind of interested.
I hope it doesn't turn out like the original Borderlands.
If it's even close to the quality of Borderlands 2 it'll be great.
Borderlands 1 can go fuck itself tho.
I'll wait until we have a proper announcement first. Random people on forums just don't do it for me

I meant in the sense that Gearbox reveals an intresting game that then evolves into something dull, shallow, lazy, and NOT FUNNY like what happened with the Beta version of Borderlands before it became the game that we all know and don't really love very much.
Uh I don't know what kind of revisionist history you're trying to create here but the original version of Borderlands looked dumb as hell. The aesthetic after they relaunched it was way better and stood it apart from every other post-apocalyptic style wasteland game. The entire point was that the beta look was "shallow lazy and uninspired."
Maybe I should've have gone into Borderlands expecting a gameworld with mostly static NPCs. A smattering of weapons most of which were tweaked copies of existing weapons with a good number of them sucking ass. Main and supporting characters who weren't likeable or intresting. A lazy excuse plot of a story which was also linear. Numerous attempts at comedy which fell flat more often than not. An open world that wasn't completely open-world, And vehicles that handled awkwardly.
