Abilites aren't the only thing getting recycled. That joke with Sanji/Luffy/Jinbe was used on the the Arlong Arc with Usopp/Zoro/Sanji.
Just to give a reference for anyone who didn't notice:

I loved the part where Zoro was "too" assuring. Made me laugh so hard, that and the Brooke chasing pappug.
Here is my guess:
Jinbe's and Luffy's punches didn't hit sanji as a whole, but they touched him (they "streaked" Sanji) causing Sanji to rotate (as we c the rotation-movement-lines in that panel), the rest of the punches hit Luffy and Jinbe each other.
Yeah that's possible too, well at the end all of them got owned xD
Nice chapter overall, but it still didn't clear that much. I want next chapter. :(
Anyway, I loled at Brook "From the day I've learned this skill….What do you think I've been doing? nosebleed" XD
Can't wait to see Zoro in good action. I really want the 2 years skip to be animated already. :'(
I hope Brook can enter dead bodies and things … this new ability is a great suprise!
As I hoped, they finally solved the mystery around that water Arlong used. Remember back then at Arlong Park, when he tossed some water at Sanji and Zoro and they had no idea why they felt such a strong impact? Oda sure took some time to solve that one.
Oh, you're right! Tottaly forgot about that!
I'm somewhat glad Luffy isn't overpowering Jinbe. At least he's a former Shichibukai.
Yeah that's possible too, well at the end all of them got owned xD
yeah, all that matters in the end is nothing but the result.
reminds me of Arlong biting a rock apart and then Luffy punching a rock apart.
Johnny/Yosaku:"yeah, doesn't matter how you do it, all that matters is that it is broken!"
Anyone curious what the other NFP-officers are capable of?
I can imagine that Zeo has sum camouflage abilities, but from the others I got no idea.
Yeah and Hyouzou is poisonous and a hell of a swordsman.
Amazing, Jimbe and Luffy almost on equal terms, he looks definitely Monster trio's level
Good chapter.
Prediction: Big Mom will layeth the smacketh down on Daruma's candy ass!
Wow.. finally after the flashback.. ITS CLOBERRIN TIME
First, Brooks power. So much possibilities… but also kinda cliche since some has been shown by perona. But here's the possibility:
1. Possesion. No ghost is completed without it. And also, I kind of imagine brrok using this to posses nami and finally get a glimpse at her panties.
2. Talk to the dead. Brook become a cellphone to the underworld. Luffy can use this to call ace... or possibly roger...!!
3. Long range Spying. Self explanatory
4. Invisibility of the soul. Its a long shot, but whats funny about that. The pappug scene is a prelude to brooks spirit meeting chopper.
5. Raising the dead. Well, only the spirits, another zombies will be boring. Necromancy is always usefull
6. Logia crushers spirit punch. Im guessing every strawhats can now harm logias, but with their own ways.
Robin's Shadow bunshins. No shonen manga will be completed without some one using this technique. Even though the range and numbers are not yet known. possible uses:
1. Decoys. As shown on this chapter
2. Instant information gatherer. Unlike brookes power that requires the spirit to return first.
3. multiple combo attack. Can you imagine infinite handslap? its now possible
Thats all i can think of, for now.
@ilman
And also:
Brook as well as Robin were those 2 I had no idea what they'd improve @ all in those 2 yrs.
Every other SHs improvement was kinda obvious, but Brook and Robin's improvement have been totally unknown to me.
But now the riddle is solved in a very good way.
The only thing I dislike bout the recent reveals is that my dream of a clone fruit is flushed down the toilet now! :(
@i:
Jinbei took the Jet Stamp very well but I can't be the only one who thought that it hurt him more than he let on. Also, Brook's new power is going to be extremely useful in the future what with all the time the SH's spend trying to relocate eachother.
Well yeah if you look closely you can see marks on Jinbei's arms from him guarding it

I believe this is what we call "A Running Joke"
Heeeey, Oda's finally letting the crew show off a bit on this island.
Great cover page, but I'm a little surprised after individual covers for Zeff, Patty, and Carne, we get all of Cocoyashi crammed into a single cover. Bell-mére? Didn't expect that romanization.
I suppose I jumped the gun about how quickly this fight would progress. I didn't expect it to still be going at the end of the chapter at all, certainly, but it all fits.
I'm veeeeery happy to see the explanations of fishman karate start to appear. Being able to affect water out of reach is pretty darn cool.
Luffy was surprised his initial attack got blocked (but damn it still did some decent damage). I'm sure he wasn't going all out, but he underestimated Jinbe a bit to be sure. Jinbe even mocked him for holding back.
Hahaha that spread. Robin's ability we all saw coming after last week, but cool to see it in action, especially the way it gets Sanji totally thumped for it. Of course, Luffy and Jinbe were no doubt holding up a bit because of it. I suppose everything I said about the fight for this week applies to next week instead, no need to rehash it all.
A lot of conversation we already inferred, but needed to be said I suppose. At least the scene progressed, as Luffy has gone from "try to stop me" to "I'll beat you up."
Hodi leaving the palace unguarded is pretty stupid. But the impossible entry makes it so that the trapped trio will have to save themselves (which of course they start on later).
Pacman Daruma says "screw you guys for ignoring me!" Chewing bones… must be a red herring, since there still aren't enough villains to go around. Lol at him chewing himself a tunnel.
Those 3 panels after Daruma leaves are sort of confusing. Obviously there's the bad translation, but beyond that, there's a NFP guy hanging out with the crowd talking about it.
Brook's new ability... lol. Oda foreshadowed it but made it look like a fart. We knew he could wander as a soul from what happened after he died, the name Soul King hints at it too, but I never saw this coming, dammit Oda. And his use for the ability with the soul nose bleed, and Usopp's jealousy, all classic. Even in his powerups Brook never fails to be a joke.
Damn, even chained up Zoro's intimidating. Can't wait for next week. The resolutions I was waiting to see how they went this week should come up then and more. Though Zoro breaking out will totally destroy Hodi's plan since the king and trio will be free and safe, with entry to the palace denied again. Just another sign pointing to there being more to this arc that we don't know of yet.
Great chapter! Robin Ftw!!! :D
I hope Brook can enter dead bodies and things … this new ability is a great suprise!
I wonder if he needs his old body to do that. If he doesn't, that means he's completely immortal.
Chewing bones… must be a red herring, since there still aren't enough villains to go around.
lol i didnt think of that statement like that till you mentioned it
Good Chapter
Liked the new Brooke and Robin power reveals, very unexpected and leaves a lot to work with
The Luffy Jinbei "fight" still seems a bit too contrived and stupid to me but it wasn't as bad as last chapter
The story progressed some but the underlying problem in this arc that's been there since the end of the flashback is the snails crawl of the pacing. This chapter was better but since the flashback ended like 3 or 4 chapters ago literally next to nothing has happened and it's taken up till now to finally get a direction.
- Hodi leaving the palace unguarded is pretty stupid. But the impossible entry makes it so that the trapped trio will have to save themselves (which of course they start on later).
Hodi also assumed the trapped trio are helpless. He's completely underestimating his enemies. As do every single opponent the Strawhats face, sans Kuma, Mihawk, Jinbe, Ao Kiji, Aka Inu, Momonga, Garp, and Sengoku.
Great chapter but I did not get what Hodi was saying about migration or something. Are these criminals heading for the palace ?
I loved this comedic reference to Arlong Park.
Sanji jumping on Robin reminded me of Enies Lobby and he dived right into Merry's mast.
Wait why did Hodi leave again? Going off Daruma it seemed they're going to gather in Gyoncorde Plaza, but I thought that was for Neptunes execution? Theres still 3 hours to go and they left him at the castle so I don't get it.
I wonder if he needs his old body to do that. If he doesn't, that means he's completely immortal.
Yeah thought about that as well … Brook'll need limitations if he can enter other bodies/objects ...
If u look closely luffy heated up only one leg and kicked jimbei and it left a mark on him.
Is it just me or did Robin's arm limbs she sprouted get bigger looking than before and did she use teleport no jutsu?
Hmmmmmmmm… Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... What to think, what to think. Good chapter all in all. Robin not Nami!!! Very interesting, I think it shows she feels more apart of the crew. Um, not to trilled about the Luffy Jinbe fight. Was expecting a bit more dominance from my boy Luffy, especially as a Jinbe supporter (To join the crew). We can now say Robin can definitely clone herself, no more arguments about her only being able to clone her top half or some bull shit. Looks like some potential big mum action coming in the future with her factory getting fucked. Anyway more speculation later when I get off work.
Good chapter overall.. I liked the fact that Luffy and Jinbe fought equally but I still don't understand their reason for it. Couldn't they just go to the palace together and kick some ass?
I love Brook's new skill! Haha!
Pappag…
Hum after seeing Mangastream scan the chapter made a lot more sense in a lot of stuff compared to the other scanlations team.
Good chapter overall.. I liked the fact that Luffy and Jinbe fought equally but I still don't understand their reason for it. Couldn't they just go to the palace together and kick some ass?
You couldn't? then you didn't read what Jinbe said?
So everyone did notice that Luffy didn't use any form of Haki right?
With CoO he should of sensed Jinbe's attack coming, but he either wasn't paying attention, or just didn't care.
He also didn't use CoA to block Jinbe's attack, or as an added force to his own attack.
Why is this? Was he confident he could beat Jinbe without Haki?
Jimbei's fishman karate attack. Did Luffy predict it? Or did he just notice it because Jimbei called it out? Either way he was atleast aware of an incoming attack. So why wouldnt he use CoA to help block the hit? Or did he use CoA to block the hit but it didnt work because of the nature of the attack? The attack seems similiar to impact dials or kuma's shock waves. Does that mean those cant be blocked by haki? Luffy hit jimbei with a jet stomp/stamp. Did this attack not contain haki? Does it need to be specifically mentioned in the attack name to be sure its a haki attack? Is the reason Jimbei questioned Luffy's strength and the results of his training because he didnt use haki? Or is it because he used haki and it wasnt strong at all? Was Luffy even capable of using haki against Jimbei because I doubt his heart is really in the fight and you gotta have your head on straight to use it?
Also, The speach bubble isnt pointing to robin but the mouth seems open. So is the clone speaking or is it Robin from the forest edge? Was Robin controling the clone and walking or did she have to stop to do it? Was she standing in the shadows unseen and thats how she knew what was going on? Or did she clone her whole body to an unseen location with precision accuracy?

I think to begin killing all the civilians who names were on the petition papers?
On top of waiting three hours to actually kill any of his enemies, he leaves them completely unguarded. He knows that Luffy has a 400,000,000 Beli Bounty (i.e. A shitload of money), yet why does he underestimate the strength and abilities of his crew?
Utter failure as a villain.
Heh, that was a bit strange. Hey, Oda proved most of us wrong on who would interrupt the fight in that chapter. Still…Luffy and Jinbe are idiots. There's several simple solutions.
Brook's new ability is interesting. And I guess Robin can make a full clone now. That'd be pretty sweet. And also that weird crosshatching is the scar? Still a bit confused about that.
Also I just re-read from a different site. The translation seems to make a bit more sense. So far the chapter was kinda so so.

Because he is a racist psychopath that thinks himself superior to human beings - and as such doesn't think they could ever beat him no matter what.

From what it sounded it. It was an internal attack almost. He used the water that's in Luffy, not around him is what it seemed like. He got distracted and it hit, he may have been able to dodge it otherwise.
I don't think that all attacks need to incorporate Haki. It'd be fairly boring if that's the case. And they are not really going all out or there would have been more damage on both sides.
What exactly did Robin do? Did she clone herself inbetween Luffy and Jenbei distracting them to punch each other or did she turn into fists and punch all 3 of them? My tiny phone screen is hard to see.
Anyway I don't want to see Luffy being a sidekick to Jenbei. It's going to be weird if Luffy just lets Jenbei and the 3 Princes do all the heavy lifting.
Luffy won't go sidekick to Jinbe, hey'll take out Hodi in the end and help the mermaid Princess and destroy the Island some how Any ways, it was a good chapter. We, got a sneak peak of what some of the Straw hats could do. I got a good laugh out of what happened between Luffy/Jinbe/Sanji poor SanjiXD Luffy is willing to listen it seems, I can see a Luffy/Jinbe team up again, with Jinbe getting knocked out in the end some how. Luffy always takes out the main villains. Yah good chapter, am excited to find out what happens next. Seems Hodi is going to try and take on Luffy/Big Mama, good luck with that pal.
Mangastream got a new translator for One Piece. And here I was ready to give props to the old translator for seemingly getting better.
Because he is a racist psychopath that thinks himself superior to human beings - and as such doesn't think they could ever beat him no matter what.
But look at it this way. Chapter 622, Page 7 showed us that some way, the newspaper from the surface does reach all they way down to Fishman Island/the Fishman District; since Hodi was reading about Fisher Tiger's exploits at Mariejoa. If that's the case, then shouldn't Hodi know about Luffy's raid on Enies Lobby & MarineFord, since they were widely reported in the papers? Would you really want to underestimate the crew of someone like that?

Maybe Hodi is so racist he purposely only reads news that deals with the Non humans lol.
be funny if luffy and jimbei are too busy arguing/fighting each other that zoro, usopp and brooke finish up everything before they get there.
Maybe Hodi is so racist he purposely only reads news that deals with the Non humans lol.
Or that Hodi is just a stupid twit, he's half-assing his whole plan.
Brook's new ability is interesting, but now I really wonder what would happen if Blackbeard touched his body. Robin's cloning ability is somewhat confusing, because before his body parts have sprouted from the surface of different things, but a whole body doesn't need to be attached on anything. And I'd like to see Robin creating her clone animated.
And is it just me or has the panels gotten bigger?
the bodies probably still need to be attached to something other then the clone itself,it's a "flower",and flowers must sprout from somewhere.
so if it sprout from the ground it can move but not walk because of its "roots",but if robin create a "stem" of arms and the clone sprout from the tip,she can create "walking clones",but with limitations…much like the umbilical cables of the eva in neo genesis evangelion
And also that weird crosshatching is the scar? Still a bit confused about that.
Huh?? What are you talking about?

hodi probanly just overestimates his own strength… he thinks he's unbeatable with his es pills
@Sniper:
Huh?? What are you talking about?
The thing across Hodi's chest is stitching from his scar, many thought it was the Snail Phone. I knew it was from the scar as it went up his arm pit.
I didn't catch it the first time, but as others already said Big Mam's Candy Factory was demolished! At first I thought Daruma was making a message in the walls, then I couldnt't figure out why he was traveling like Bugs Bunny. Then I noticed the actual factory falling down. Pretty cool the way Oda passively mentiones Big Mam at the beginning and then doesn't even mention exactly why Durama is doing what he is doing. I suppose to be completely human free Fish Man Island can not be protected by one. Yeah this arc is going to last a while.
Ohhh, I see.
I never even thought about it…
Brook's new skill = EPIC genius!!
Jinbei is a monster. He blocked Luffy's jet stomp WITHOUT using haki at all.
Hordy still didn't interest me. A very generic villain he is, so far…

Indeed, I actually didn't notice that either until you just pointed it out as well.
Looks like this arc is set up to becoming very intensified…
Still looks akin to teleporting to me.
