The storyboarder is a famous one, and this is the second time that he make the storyboard for One Piece.
But it seems that it's a bit difficult for him to handle One Piece's pacing well, at least in Ep. 592.
Man… These next couple of episodes are going to have slow pacing... They were slow as heck in the manga too.

A whiole lot of nothing happens… Not the animes fault this time, though. I should take a 2-3 weeks break.
The pacing is a bit slow. But the direction is very good, especially the emotion-wise.

A few funny moments with Vergo and Caesar and Smiley at the end kept it from being terrible.
Some of the music choices were very good. I think there were some tracks I haven't heard in the anime in a while.
Ryusei Nakao is having so much fun voicing Caesar. I'm glad Toei chose him to do the part.

The stuff with Smiley felt like it was unfolding in real-time, so if it feels slow in the anime that's because it was slow in the manga too.
I recall this being a slow period in the manga as well. Things should get much faster in the next couple of episodes.
You guys. You guys.. Real talk right now? Real talk? That happy, bouncing Smiley at the end made my night. There has never been a cuter concentrated mass of poison gas merged with an axolotl in all of the seven kingdoms. Look it up, you'll see I'm right.
On a side note, anyone hear anything from Funimation about the new opening? Is this gonna go on indefinitely until the NEXT new opening kicks in? Because it kind of pains me to know there's likely countless anime-only kiddies who may not even be aware of the fact there's a new opening out for this arc.
Caesar stole the whole episode, especially his orgasm face when he said he wanted to be friends with Law and ending with Smiley! 
It's a pity that rest of the episode was pretty lame. Monet specially was drawn quite terribly! :getlost:

Smiley was the best of the episode and that music they play when Ceasar tries to talk to him lol.
Though Robin and Monet faces were realy off during the start of recording the experience.

The animation really sucked in this one, and the art and animation was pretty lackluster throughout with the exception of some of the scenes where Vergo is torturing Law and some of CC's facial expression. Even bits that would lend themselves to creative art and animation, like Mocha's hallucinations, come across as dull. The bit where the dragon runs away from the sled is terribly animated.
Also, no one mentioned this, but a suggestive situation involving Usopp's nose was too good for Toei to pass up. It's obviously an attempted callback to the very similar scene in Drum Island that no one asked for. Except it doesn't really work here since Nami is in Sanji's body (or does it :ninja:)

Well in that scene Usopp was very disappointed to realize that that wasn't actually Sanji…

! Ah, thanks for confirming that. Then there's still hope the anime will give us a clearer answer as to what his identity is. I'm sure they would have to talk to Oda first before coloring in, even through a silhouette like that.

Well, it's very possible Lucci could have begun to dabble in broker affairs – or as an undercover CP9 agent, that's something he could have been doing all along -- that side of it I don't deny. I just don't understand how some people think it's him just because.. he has a similar hat than the one he used to wear when we FIRST saw him? Just like there were people saying the afro broker guy was Crocodile because he was smoking a cigar. Cigars, trademarked by Baroque Works.
I personally don't think it's him at all, but it's whatever. Could go either way.
