Nico Robin actually explains to Iceburg what the Buster Call is. You would assume if Iceburg knows about the Demons of Ohara, and these would be the same as the Buster Call, there would be no need to explain this.

The second thing is that Iceburg actually speaks with Robin about the Demons of Ohara in Chap 344.

This is, IMO, the proof that the Demons of Ohara are not the Buster Call, since there's no reason for the Opinions of the Buster Call marines to be dangerous nor for Nico Robin to hold the same "dangerous Opinions".

My theory is that Ohara is in fact the place where Nico Robin whitnessed the Buster Call, and that the "Demons of Ohara", which are still a mistery to us, where the reason to use the Buster Call. Maybe these Demons had something to do with the ancient weapons, but i'm not sure how the connection is. I have this picture in mind of Nico Robin's Family (which are a long line of archeologists) in a kind of ritual that involves that mysterious ancient culture that made the poneglyphs and the weapons, and in this ritual something was awakened that required the Buster Call and its incredible power to come and stop it before it was too late… the result being the complete destruction of Ohara. This is, of course, pure speculation.

Bramble, it's obvious the WG uses lasers. I mean… they're lasers. You can… direct them at your target and point them out. Circle and highlight them if need be.

They are an integral part of the Buster Call process :(

I like this theory, it would also fit in what Ao Kiji said about Nico Robin being the only one that outlives the groups she joins… this would mean though, that the OD are not Dragons Rev. Army but the Organization that wanted to help Dragons Rev. Army.

anyway I really hope this will all be explained in a Nico Robin Flashback soon.

i'd say pluton is the ancient weapon. pluton's blueprints are kept in case somebody is able to revive it through the poneglyphs. for counter-measure.

That was my interpretation as well, someone or some group already built Pluton long ago, and the blueprints for that ship from when it was made have been passed down and kept safe, just in case a duplicate is ever needed to defend against the original.

Oh you exaggerate. I donÂ´t think that IÂ´m the most knowledgable person here. This thing is just proof for it. I really slipped that part for somehow. ThatÂ´s why my previous theory with the Demons being the Buster Call fleet holds no water anymore. It would have worked without that statement but it defintely doesnÂ´t work with what prometeo just mentioned. Ok here I can say that it is definitely wrong if youÂ´re talking about just one Ancient Weapon. You probably got this impression after reading the scanlations of chapter 358 where Iceburg talks about "THE existing weapon…". This is crap because it either should be "The existing weapons" or as it is writtin in StephenÂ´s scripts, just "the Ancient Weapons".

Yep Franky has the blueprints to one of those dangerous weapons. And I agree that that the weapons must be of some other material then wood. ThatÂ´s probably one of the reasons why they are superior. Maybe the old civilisations had superior technology that ruined the world. ItÂ´s not like such a idea was never used before.
Only an idea but maybe itÂ´s similar to the ogirinal Stargate movie. The egyptian god Ra was actually an alien that had superior technology. After the people got rid of him, they sealed the Stargate so that he never could come back. It would somehow apply on the Ancient Weapons and the History that cannot be told. Just an idea though.

Well, there's these two possibilites as I see it:

Either the WG wants Pluton because they see how their power is slipping out of their hands, having heard of the contacts between Whitebeard and Shanks, and seeing how the Strawhats beat one of the shichibukai, so in order to regain it and end the great age of piracy they need the power of an ancient weapon. in which case the Government would be giving the image as to be the "bad guys". I'm not sure of how the Ohara demons fit in this scenario.

Or the WG wants Pluton as a weapon to use it to defend themselves from a similarly powerful weapon; in this case, I really think this would be linked to dragon's revolution, and this would give us the image of the WG being somewhat like the "good guys". In this case the Ohara demons are linked to Dragon's Revolution helping him to revive an ancient weapon, thus making their Opinions dangerous, as stated by Iceburg.

I know in any case you can't really say "good" or "bad", but you get the point…

Well IÂ´m sure that the WG itself isnÂ´t ruled by noble and wise leaders who only care for the best of their people. IÂ´ve just wrote up a huge explenation for that in my title page characterÂ´s thread so I donÂ´t want to repeat all of the reasons again.
So if they are corrupt politicians and see Dragon as dangerous then it could also mean that he is a danger for the power status and not for the people of this world. DoesnÂ´t have to be that way but it is an option.

As far as the Demons of Ohara are concerned. Well I donÂ´t know how to link them to Robin. Maybe they were to her what Hiluluk was for Chopper etc. You know, everybody hated him but we as the readers know that he was a good guy. And if the WG is ruled by the bad guys then we canÂ´t then calling them "Demons" is their point of view. Which means we still donÂ´t know if it truly is evil characters or not. But accoring to Iceburgs words "…even after witnessing the Demons of Ohara..." something bad must have happened. And maybe the Demons did that themselves or everyone was made to believe that it was them and that is the reason why Robin gets fired up at this statement.

There are 2 all-powerful ancient weapons that we know about so far.
Now, upon hearing plutons name I thought it would have been something land-based but instead I found out it was a ship.
Pluto is the name of the roman god of the under world while posiden is the greek god if the sea.
Theor names might have something to do with the seceret of thier power.
Perhaps the demons were eliminated by some force(most likley the buter call) because they were prusuing the true history.
As of now it is unknown whether the ancient language has to be learned or whether there are the special few who are born with this gift.
If it has to be learned then there is the possibility that G. Roger was a demon of Ohara or had met them at some point in time.
There is the slight possibility the the Demons are his crew, but as I said this is a slight possibilty.
You will probley need special knowledge to be able to man the great weapons, If they need to be manned.
Perhaps Dragon is or has something to with the Demons.
If the Ohara Demons are a tribe and dragon was one of them this might explain the markings on his face.
Perhaps posieden is a land-based weapon since pluton is a ship.
Tom had the blueprints to Pluton but it is unknown if they are the originals.
If they are not the originals this might indicate that some tried to build it before.
Perhaps Pluton has the abilty to take away the land and posiden to take away the oceon but i dought it.

Well I think that the demons already knew how do decifer the ancient text.

And yes there probley are other weapons.

my two cents on weapons and such:
first we know of two(or more) Weapons, Pluton and Poseidon. My guess is they were created before the 400 hundred years of unkown history and were the cause of the Dark Age of the world. THIS is the main history in OnePiece and is what will eventualy rule the adventures of the StrawHats. (ok assumption but i bet two donuts and a nickel) Now after the Weapons were put to sleep, we know of three instances that could revive them:

Tom's and his ancestors with the actual blueprints of Pluton
Robin and most likely her family/tribe thru reading the Poneglyphs and following it's path
Roger or someone in his crew (wich leads me to believe in a Roger -> Robin relationship)

Now here's assumption all over again:
After the Dark Age ended and the Poneglyphs were spread all over the Grand Line a rogue group of the creators of the Weapons (Merman!?) kept a copy of the Blueprint of one of the Weapons in case it was awakened a second power would have to rise to equal it's, maybe we'll find out another merman/shipwrights have the Blueprints to the other weapons, but i find this unlikely. My guess is the blueprint of ONE weapon was kept just in a worst case cenario.

My guess of the Ohara: they are the good guys. They somehow managed to create a copy.. boss here, work to do. to be continued

I got tired of reading through the replies, but here's my view on how "Buster Call," could be viwed as the "Ohara Daemons".

Consider "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," by Victor Hugo, in which two men, Frollo and Quasimodo, play an important role. Quasimodo is, physically, an ugly, deformed human; however, on the inside, he is a compassionate, kind person. Frollo, on the other hand, is viewed as a strong willed, ambitious administrator who is very pious; however, on the inside, he is a zealot, and his own piety has been twisted in that he believes in a purging of all who do not agree with his relegious views. In Hugo's novel, to quote the Disney film, "Who is the monster, and who is the man"?

Are the citizens of Ohara daemons because they possess knowledge, or rather, a tradition, passed down from generation to generation? Or perhaps is it the World Government, acting through the "Buster Call," with the intention of destruction, wearing a false face of seeking peace and order through a weapon? Think the Galactic Empire's use of the Death Star to instill order; who are the real daemons, here?

Anyone know the romaji translated into "Demons" in this context? I've heard them called the Ohara Devils before, and I've always wondered if there was an implied connection with the Akuma no Mi.

The flashback of "Reverie" . is somewhere in the Drum arc, I can't remember precisely where (think it's when Dolton remembers the little Vivi, ending of the Drum arc)

Ok now after a little bit thinking I think there is still a way how the Demons of Ohara can be the Buster Call commanders. I couldnÂ´t think of it before because I feeled so ashamed for slipping such an important statement, but now after I did a little of constructive thinking I think that thereÂ´s still a slim possibility that it be the Buster Call guys. Let me explain.

Well let us think of the present time. Spandam (and with that the Gorousei) want the blueprints for Pluton so badly, that if nothing else would work, he would use the Buster Call to get it. Even without that, he has command of a secret agency that has the right to kill people and he uses it to get the blueprints. So Spandam attitude is praticly dangerous because he would use any methods to get those darn blueprints (remember the attack with the Battle FrankyÂ´s). He canÂ´t read the ancient texts nor is he interested in history, but his attitude to get the blueprints at all costs is dangerous.

Now to get to the Buster Call fleet from Robins past. What if those guys who were controlling it, wanted knowledge about the ancient texts and wanted to get it at all costs and only the people of Ohara could help them with that but refused to do so. Just imagine that the guys who were commanding the fleet (kinda like Spandam would do it today) had such a dangerous attitude that they would do anything to get that knowledge even if it means to betray or kill people. Then it would actually work when Iceburg says that Robin held the same opinions as the Demons of Ohara, because she also wants to get the knowledge at any cost. Having the same opinions as them doesnÂ´t necessarily mean that they have to be part of the same group.

Well just wanted to mention this part. I myself am not convinced that much that the Buster Call commanders are the Demons of Ohara as I was before this thread. But after what IÂ´ve just said above I think that it still canÂ´t be ruled out completely. So IÂ´ll stick with it until the end.

Let us just imagine that Spandam uses the Buster Call to wipe the entire island Water 7 out. Then twenty years later people could refer to him as "Demon of Water 7" because of that. And his opinions would have been dangerous because he wanted to get the Blueprints at any costs. Get my point?

Plus as I examined a lot of times, the highest authority of the WG has yet to proove at least one time that they are good leaders who think of their people (I donÂ´t want to rewrite it since it is a large explenation. If youÂ´re really interested in it then you can read it by clicking here). They didnÂ´t do it so far. Plus, having an organisation as CP9 that has the right to kill anyone who opposes them proves that the WG would use such methods.

i think the 5 stars think of the people just that they also have to think of the big picture and feel that if a few are sacrificed so that 100.000.000 of people can live then its worth it,
the world would crumbel if the leaders were like vivi and tried to save absolutly every single little person in the world as stated by croc and even luffy it doesnt work that way.

and really all the worlds goverments have such agencys as CP9.
