I like Get Fuzzy, Non Sequitur, Pearls Before Swine, (classic) Garfield, and last but not least, Maakies.

@Toothbrush:
Garfield and Baby Blues
Least favorite: Cathy
I'm in full agreement with the above statement. As long as it is the older Garfield.
-
phdcomics.com, sinfest.net, alienlovespredator.com
i love webcomics.
-
at this adress you can find the single greatest web comic ever "The Last Days of FOXHOUND" its about foxhound the main villans of MGS and basicly makes fun of the MGS games and it does a great job to since its fricking hilarious.
and im also a fan of Loserz cause nerd jokes are really funny if you are one XD
-
For online stuff, it's Sinfest, Sexy Losers, As If ! and the ultimate -Perry Bible Fellowship- for me. ("You win !" "Hooray" "psyche" "Richard, you have to stop doing this" "Loser")
Stuff in the paper, Zits, Luann, Non Sequitur, Baby Blues, Get Fuzzy and duh, FoxTrot. I was a huge fan of Calvin and Hobbes when it was still running as well. :E
-
Get Fuzzy is great, Foxtrot is probably my next favorite after that. I also like Bizarro.
Garfield used to be a lot better than it is now, though lately there seems to be more hints of how he used to act.
You know, a few years ago I would have ignored it, but I really like the current Rex Morgan storyline.
The majority of comics are "meh" at best though; I know we'll never see anything on the level of Peanuts, but a few more moderately funny comics would be nice.
As far as webcomics go, I read Penny Arcade, Melonpool, VGCats, Order of the Stick, Sinfest, Wapsi Square, Elf Life, Polymer City, and Errant Story. I also like Life on Forbez and RPG World, but their schedule is somewhat sporadic. Naught Framed is another that I like, but it's on hiatus.
The main problem I have with webcomics is how certain artists spend their time bitching about not getting enough respect/money/readers/whatever to the point where they pretty much stop doing anything else, thus alienating pretty much any loyal fans that they have left. It's all well and good to think that they deserve more credit or whatever, but that doesn't mean that you should ignore the existing fanbase in favor of one that isn't there.
That or they spend so much time working on the website that they never actually draw anything. Redesigning the website should not take priority over the art and comics that drew the readers to the site in the first place.
Look at Elf Life, for instance, where the main storyline stalled out for almost two years covering events on a single day, in no small part thanks to numerous changes to the archive, before the author put that storyline on hiatus in favor of a flashback to the start of the series.

Luann and Foxtrot are awsome. xD Liberty Meadows it pretty funny too.
-
ive started reading alienlovespredator now and i must say that its great almost in the same league as " the last days of foxhound"
thanks for the tip/recommendation E1n=)

Lesse… B.C. (especially when that one character sends letters to others via the ocean), Drabble, Foxtrot, Peanuts, Non Sequitor, Rhymes with Orange, Jumpstart, Mother Goose and Grim, Baby Blues, Get Fuzzy, and Zits (quite a list  ).
The one comic strip I never liked, however, would definately be Cathy.
-
Zits is propably my No. 1, followed by a norwegian comic named Pondus, followed by the Garfield from 5 years before now.
As for Webcomics: Nuklearpower.com Baby! 8-bit theatre is brilliant. The scene where Red Mage mixes up the FF and WC universes had me rolling on the floor.
-
8-Bit Theater started out as a good comic, but later on it became really boring and predictable.
-
I also like garfield, and charlie brown, and heathcliff.
Those are my childhood favs… -
The lack of Dilbert in this thread is disturbing…
But other favorite comics are Cavin & Hobbes, Farside, Zits, Bizarro, Non Sequitur, Foxtrot, Curtis, and the New Yorker Comics.
-
Calvin and Hobbes, Far Side, Dilbert, Foxtrot, Doonesbury, Jump Start, Zits.
Garfield hasn't been good in a long ass time. Totally blows now.
-
Calvin and Hobbes
webcomic: control-alt-delete, vgcats, Flipside
-
Newspaper funnies: Calvin and Hobbes, Boondocks, Peanuts (primarily from the 50's but the later stuff is cool too.)
Webcomics: Penny-Arcade, PvP, Wigu/Overcompensating, Diesel Sweeties, The Journal Comic, and Scary Go Round.
-
Newspaper: Calvin and Hobbes (favorite!!), Foxtrot, Sally Forth
Webcomics: Penny Arcade, 8-bit Theatre, (some) vgcats, and MegaTokyo (I almost choked on all the depressing shoujo nonsense, but this chapter seems to be picking up)
-
Love: Mutts for its uber-cute factor, though sometimes the comedy's pretty weak.
Hate: Marmaduke….I just don't get it O__o
-
I don't read them as much as I use to but, I love Foxtrot, Peanuts, Far Side and Boondocks. I even read Big Nate for awhile despite the fact its a rip off of another popular comic strip. And yes Boondocks are coming to Adult Swim this fall. Cannot wait!!!
