I'm always dissapointed when I'm looking through the chapters searching for Moria, everything is so wrong without Moria. It sucks.
You're still going on about Moria…. seriously?

Can't be helped since he survived - the best we can hope for is maybe next time we meet him he is a little more respectable then the Bit part character he was in TB
Temporarily removing Moria from the story is one of the worst mistakes that Oda has made.
Nah, Moria is so greate, that Oda could not kill him, thus temporary removal.
Moria is so greate, lolz
Shut the fuck up Beka's one of the best posters here.
First off I'm new too the forums. I only recently caught up on one piece I watched the anime first and then re-read it all in the manga. Best Show Ever. Anyway I got a lot of ideas on the show because I'm just blown away by how unreal and epic this manga is.
First off shirahoshi is not the next strawhat. It's never gonna happen. For a bunch of reasons it won't happen.
1. Its the same situation as Boa, she's got responsibilities as a princess to her people. Especially now that we know she controls Sea Kings, her kingdom needs her with her brothers to take them forward.
2. She just too big man… It would be awkward for the rest of the series. Yea I get the fact she could swim along with the ship but that's not the point of the Sunny. The sunny was the ship "Built to carry the crew to the end of the Grand Line" and it can't do that. It's the same idea as a giant joining the crew just not practical.
3. She's a weakling and a coward. She's not ready for the crew. Now people have argued that Ussop was the same way but you gotta think of the circumstances. Oda just specifically took two years out of the story line to "power up" the strawhats and made a specific point to show that they are all much stronger when they were on the way to fishermen island. Adding a weakling character to the crew now would just undo all the work that he accomplished in that two year time skip. Yea she can control sea kings but she's not ready she's still a coward and she's not gonna chance over night. The timeskip was time to get them ready for the New World. Anyone joining the crew now has already gotta be strong otherwise it defeats the purpose of waiting two years.
As for the 10th strawhat.... I think its gonna be a fishman. I just feel like it will be a missed opportunity if there's not a fishman on the crew to make a statement to the world. As for it being Jinbe. I think its highly possible. He's the only one that really fits the build. I think by the end of the FI arc the princes and the princess will be the people able to protect fisherman Island and Jinbe won't be needed. Jinbe sees the future of the world in Luffy. Before he was protecting him as a debt to ace. Now he just genuinely respects luffy and believes in him. So hes the only fishman that fits the potential of joining the crew at this point because he's got a fucked up past, he owes luffy a debt, and he's strong as fuck (which he needs to be because they are going to the new world).
As for Hodi joining the crew... Yea right... The guys friggin evil... There's never been a strawhat that's actually evil. So I'm not even going into all the reasons why I think he won't because he's not a tortured soul or any of that shit he's just evil.
As for the overall direction of this arc. I don't know it's a tuff one to call. What I can say for sure I think is that for one Luffy is gonna help shirahoshi step up and stop bein a baby. Something epic is gonna happen to FI island like luffy helps shirahoshi to bring it to the top of the ocean with the help of sea kings or something idk. Hodi and Van Der are gonna get stomped out once they finally do battle. I think Oda is gonna show us just how strong they all are. I think Jinbe is finally gonna have the burden of protecting the island lifted off his chest. But that's all I can really think is gonna happen for sure. Everything else is so up in the air.
I don't think Luffy, is gonna take care of Hodi, he looked very weak, since Zoro didn't even get serious when he fought him and he was underwater, I doubt Luffy is gonna bother with Hodi or he will probably face the same fate as Bellamy (You know, one punch :P) I think Luffy is gonna whoop that Caribou's ass, since he's after Shirahoshi and Luffy is prolly the only one that uses Haki.
Good point someone like Jinbe will fix Hodi as he'll prob see it as his responsibility. I forgot about Caribou (That SoB). But man that's actually almost perfect. Because i think the same thing if its a luffy hodi fight its just gonna be a one punch no gear 2nd

That's a nice, eloquent way of putting it. Neptune's army, the Sun Pirates, going to jail for Whitebeard; he has been pretty selfless, hasn't he? I'd love to see him have the chance to chase a dream of his own, whether it's directly connected to his country or not. Anyway, welcome to the boards!
I thought the same way One_Piece_Of_My_Mind, I think Luffy is gonna destroy FI to force the Fishmen to migrate to the surface, I don't think he will actually destroy the island, more like he will be the cause Shirahoshi will summon sea kings to lift the island up, and he will have Shirahoshi protecting her people with Sea Kings, now I think Jinbe is gonna join the crew for 1 reason, he's wanted by the government, so him staying with Fishmen is only gonna make their fate worse as WG will use him as an excuse to target FI island. All are theories, and probably wrong.
I'm interested to know what happened to Neptune and Zoro, now Zoro was out of breath at the time, so I don't what happened to him and Hodi came out on that visual Den Den mushi and stitched up. so I really want to know. Probably someone from the crew helped them being able to escape? I don't know. :(
Hodi wasn't stitched up, that's the Den Den Mushi cord.
Mind telling me then why would the Den Den Mushi cord originate from his chest going downward and upward to his hand? << He looks pretty stitched up to me. --
Couldn't tell you that, maybe it's a portable one he keeps on him. But it looks far more like a Den Den Mushi cord than stitches, and Zoro didn't even hit him up there, he sliced him in his lower right torso, not his upper left shoulder.
Not gonna argue whether they are really stitches or Den Den Mushi cord, next chapter we'll see it a bit more clearly.
dude, its clearly a den den mush cord… -_-
how can it be more clearer? lolz
I can see why it could look that way. It' starts from under his furry shawl thingy and passes over a line on his chest, dips out of screen then we see the cord which looks a tad different. But yeah it could just be the cord as he was cut somewhere else…but clearly time has elapsed. Maybe Zoro got in another hit.
I smell a Vice captain of Big Mom Armada coming in FI….......
@Hiken:

What you guys say makes a lot of sense, but more than pulling up the island I think it more likely that they'll pull up Noah. I also wouldn't be surprised if later in the Arc they specified where Noah originated from and what happened the last time they tried to go up towards the sun.

That's actually a pretty good idea. Something a little more plausible. I just think at the end of the day him and Shirahoshi are gonna raise something to the surface as a symbol to the whole island and the whole world really. It's gonna be some realization of the mother's dream.

You put up that very well. I thought they will pull up FI because FI wasn't attached to sea floor or anything, it's an island in a big round bubble underwater. On another thought, regarding the fights that's gonna happen, I feel like all the fights in FI won't require any of the crew to use much of their powers, I'm thinking it will be like an introduction to how powerful the crew grew, so not expecting to see the full potential of their powers in this arc.
Hodi - it's just ES pills, when he doesn't have it, Zoro cut him like he was a bug of some sort.
Caribou - He's a rookie, his confidence is only coming from his Akuma no mi power, which won't do him that much good, if he came across Luffy, it WILL just be one punch equipped with Haki --
Van Der Dicken - The guy is a joke as shown in present and past… >>

tat actually would make a lot more sense. To me, it does sound like something Oda would do,kind of like a reverse situation of Atlantis (instead of an island sinking to the depths, an island from the depths almost a myth rise up into the middle of the world, since mariejoe is pretty much in the middle of the world as Sengoku says i think)

I'm still waiting for Moriah to become the Pirate King. Soon.

My God, what a hilarious cover! Thanks Javimgol!
Wow, that is equal parts adorable and disturbing. >XD
i can't believe I had to wait two weeks for a new chapter after the flashback ended…. That's messed up Oda... That's real messed up
I wonder if that means 628 spoilers will be on their way soon?

No sooner than usual, I'd say.
No. It's just that Sasaki, the editor boss of SJ, has Twiter and posted that photo.
He did the same a few days ago with a lot of papers that were, in fact, chapter 628. Redon posted it in Spoiler section, but we can only see there a single page, and with a terrible quality

Ok, I saw it and thanks.
Next chapter is out, and AHAHAHAHAHA I was right, they ARE stitches :P
Arlong couldn't destroy a castle wall with one hand without batting an eye.
Remember when Arlong beat down Zoro and Sanji with a handful of water? Hodi destroyed Neptune's Army with it.
Then again, Hodi is on roids
