I would like to know how you feel about the major Kids networks.
Nick:I hate how the play nothing but Spongebob and their Tween Sitcoms like iCarly and the like. But I must praise them for wanting to deviate from this mold by acquiring more Edgy and Action Oriented shows like Dragon Ball Z Kai and Power Rangers. Also they are making quite an effort to push animation to the forefront these days.
CN:HATE HATE HATE KILL IT WITH FIRE.Its not their mismanagement and cancellation of great shows like One Piece and Sym-Bionic Titan. Its not the fact that nowadays they exhibit some of the worst traits of Merchandise Driven Programing. Its all that but even that pales in comparison to their worst crime:Betraying what made them unique and appealing to the masses: Being the home and mecca of animation.
Disney Channel:It may surprise you but Im mostly meh about this one, at least where I live they show good Disney/Pixar Movies and their ONE good show:Phineas and Ferb.
Disney XD:This one enrages me, even more so than CN. This channel held so much promise, at least to me. I thought it might have been a good home for shows for people who didnt want to watch Hannah Montana-esque comedies all day. What we got was Disney sitcoms of an EVEN lower quality but 4 BOYZ!
The Hub: Now THIS ONE is MUCH better. Home of Internet Darling My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, this channel truly is "Where everything comes together". Making a point out of appealing to both Children AND their families, it is very much Periphery Demographic friendly! Also, I applaud that while it IS owned by a Toy Company, it strangely is not that reliant on said formula than say CN. (Cancelling Original Productions just for not having a Toy Deal) Granted, it doesnt have many good shows right now, but I think that if given time we can expect awesome things out of it!
How do you feel about the major Kids Networks º

I gotta say I feel the same way about CN, but it has Regular Show and Adventure Time, and I don't give a shit about MLP so yeah…
Voted CN.
-
Yeah. It figures. The Hub needs more new shows to actually compete. But I feel it has the most potential, so I pick it.
-
I don't watch any of them but I'm thinking of voting Disney just because they have Phineas and Ferb which is like the bet kid's show on right now.

From a creator's perspective: Nickelodeon.
Following in the Teen Titans and PPG footsteps is the holy Grail, but they treat their shows like shit and cancel for retarded reasons. Better to not have a CN show at all than to have it cancelled and losing the rights to your creation.
Disney is a little better if you can scrounge up a little popularity, but they're too worried about the 'disney brand' to do anything truely interesting. Perhaps a show could live out it's life on XD, but it's not optimal.
Nickelodeon is undoubtedly the best for creators. You've got shows ranging in content from Jimmy Neutron to Spongebob to Invader Zim. True the animated shows on there today aren't good as they were, but the one show that makes Nick the champ is wholeheartedly Avatar. That any channel would let two creators make up this whole new world but also have continuous storylines and then actually let it END when it's supposed to is remarkable.
As far as viewing, I pick CN just for Young Justice
-
All Nickelodeon airs now though is iCarly, Victorious, Big Time Rush, and probably some other lame ass shit I can't remember for the life of me.
And Spongebob.
-
Nickelodeon is the only thing I can watch from this list (and we only got it this year; it replaced MTV). But it's great that Nick airs so many Spongebob episodes all the time, I love to rewatch the older ones.

all good stuff is pretty much dead.
i miss the good old days of cartoons -
Eventhough they've made a number of boneheaded moves with canceling shows and constantly fucking with them and what not I gotta choose CN.
-
Nick: They try…I admit they do try, but the problem they have is they keep going back to the well with that sponge (which only was good until the creator left post-movie) and their LA stuff. At least they try...
Nicktoons: That probably feels more interesting than Nick themselves, but sort of feels like a crime they got rid of "Wolverine and the X-men"...though I haven't followed them in forever and sort of hope they did get the second season of Iron Man.
CN: The good news is they do have more initiative to create unlike Nick and Disney due to being the low man. The bad: being boneheaded and obsessed with ratings and toy contracts over quality, thus leading to the whole "cancelling Sym-bionic" mess as the latest of their blunders (still mourning the loss of Toonami). Sadly with my apartment being limited, they're the one I mostly stick to, mostly cause of "Adventure Time", "Scooby Doo: Mysterys Inc", their action shows...and Pokemon.
Disney: It's a girl network, Phineas and Ferb (which I never saw and didn't appeal to me when I saw it) or not.
Disney XD: I fear they may go down the dark path with their tossing crappy LA stuff on and not giving Avengers the chance it deserves. (thank goodness for the internet for my Avengers fix)
Hub: the greatest potential but needs time to grow. At least they know how to have creators to make toyetic properties and (so far) decide to be a "family network" instead of a "kids network". (thus my sis watching "Happy Days" and the 60s Batman)
