Agent 47 is back!
-
Finally! I've been waiting for this since i was introduced to the series with Blood Money.
-
Why powerthirst?
Regardless, YES YES YES YES YES. Enough of this Kane and Lynch BULLSHIT. Let's get back in the right direction IO Interactive.
Fuck what squeenix tells you. Do WHAT YOU DO BEST!
-
I TOLD YOU HE'S COMING BACK! I TOLD YOU!!
Ahem. Ok, good news.
-
Yay! I haven't actually beaten any of the Hitman games but I like to play them
.
-
I hope the cutscenes in this new game are in-engine. I was just playing Blood Money and the video cutscenes look pretty bad compared to the actual gameplay. And really, in-engine cutscenes should really start becoming the norm nowadays.
-
Well the game does have age on it so of course it would look crappy now.
-
Crap, its gonna be painful to be unable to play it because of my crappy computer.
Big fan of the Hitman series, played every game, still haven't finished my quest of completing every mission in maximum difficulty with maximum stealth. -
It should be released for consoles as well. Unless you don't have any of the consoles either.
-
I have the Wii dohohohohoh

E3 Trailer-
Pictures-
!
!Thoughts:
! -Lookin sharp 47
-DIANA!!!!!! Now i'm already interested in the story
-Wire, check. Silencer, check. Change of clothes, check.
-People are gonna be bitching about his more "direct" approach from the trailer, but you gotta look at it this way… one, it's been how many years now? they gotta grab the attention of not just returning fans, but a larger audience as well (this will be lots of people's first Hitman game). Two, if you think about it, he still got in there pretty subtle-like (no use of guns, getting the drop on just about all the guards, breaking in the house by cutting glass). Diana doesn't even know he's there until he's right behind her. Besides... when has 47 not been able to go in the "loud way"?
-Potential on close quarters combat implied by the trailer. 47 dispatches his foes in quick brutal fashion. Uses his enviroment (i.e. slamming the door to disarm a guard, drowning an adversary), improvised weaponry (the bust), and fighting multiple people at once. Now granted, this could all just be fancy-ness from the trailer (the door if anything), but i'm almost positive 47 will be gaining upgrades to his hand to hand repertoire (shit i'll be happy if it's simply a larger variety to his canned take downs).
-not really shown, but i'm sure gunplay will obviously get an upgrade to match today's standards, just not too much cover based bullshit. Keep it simple and don't make it the focus of every gunfight and i'll be happy. A slide or roll from 47 would be well received.
-Apparently the game will run on a new engine dubbed "glacier" or something like that. The screen shots look fucking sexy.
-Can't wait to see more. Fuck the rest of E3, this is where my attention lies.I'll only say this once…. IO Interactive has a chance to COMPLETELY redeem themselves for releasing the Kane and Lynch franchise unto the gaming world, thus wasting their own talent, and depriving Hitman fans, for years, from a proper next-gen iteration of the franchise that put them on the FUCKING MAP.
IO Interactive has a chance to clean their slate.
IO Interactive has a chance to show franchises like Assassin's Creed how a real fucking stealth/assassin game is fucking made.
IO Interactive better not fuck this up. Cause it'll break my heart if they do.
...whenever you're ready 47. Good to have you coming back to us.

Hand to Hand combat
NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPEBut I guess I don't care, the other ones had shooting mechanics where you could go all out along with stealth. As long as I can stealth my way into "Silent Assassin" ranking like the other games, I'm fine

This is what my life is missing!

A playthrough of one of the levels.
Thank God. This game looks like a Hitman game for the first time since it was announced. I was getting worried. Hopefully there are more levels of this kind. I don't really like the visual style though, it looks really washed out. -
http://www.barcode-society.com/weblog/IntroducingContracts
In Contracts, players get to create challenges for themselves and others through the creation of custom hits. All a player needs to do is choose a level, an outfit and a load-out, and, as he or she plays through the level, tag and assassinate up to three different targets – chosen from anyone within the level. The player is free to use any weapon or disguise brought in or found in the level but he must be able to complete the contract himself in order to save it and share it with the world. Contracts, then, is first and foremost a play to create experience where a player can play, create and share a hit and enter into competitions and tournaments (official or unofficial) in a continuous effort to one-up his rivals and fight for the top slot on the global, local or friend leader boards attached to each individual contract. Because it’s asynchronous, Contracts can be enjoyed across time zones and isn’t dependent on having friends online.
This game started off iffy but it's looking like the best Hitman game yet now. A level creator would add to the awesomeness.

Gameplay
GameplayOh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! screams like a sissy and poses with a banana in the mirror in his best black suit
This is the only game I've wanted the past several years and finally it has COME!
-
Yep, it originally was looking like it was jumping the shark but it looks fantastic now that they're showing more actualy Hitman-y gameplay.
-
Hitman is out.
Let's talk about it.
-
Saw it demo of it, haven't played it, but it looks amazing.
-
There's been reviews on both sides of the spectrum and I'm not sure which to believe. That being said, I canceled my preorder and got Scribblenauts instead. Going to wait for a bit to see what happens when everything levels out.
-
Preordered it for Smudgy and have it since monday here. Smudgy won't be able to play it till february and I can't play it cuz I'm too scared, lol.
-
Hitman isn't a horror game. It's more a puzzle game than anything. You have to find out the best way to take your target out.
-
Someone that played dishonored that got this? They seems similar in nature, being assassination sandboxes.
Hitman though might seem to give you more option in the way you kill targets foregoing pacifist stuff. And yes I'm aware that the gameplay mechanics are surely quite different last but not least due the fact of different perspectives (firstperson/third person).
I'm more interested in how both game compare in play options/freedom of action. -

Tomb Raider isn't a horror game either and I can't play it.
-
I haven't played this one, it's supposedly more linear than the earlier games. Blood Money allowed you a lot of freedom though. I think it's pretty cheap now, if you want to try it out. Actually, I think there's an ad sponsored browser version of it now if you want to search around for that. You could do anything from having other people kill your target for you to just walking up to them and popping them in the head.
Tomb Raider isn't a horror game either and I can't play it.
Tomb Raider has walking around and caves and stuff though right? In Hitman you're dropped in the suburbs or a theatre or a Mardi Gras parade.
