Why do you want to scan them…? Are you going to scanlate it?
Usually when I scan stuff for scanlation, I debind them. The best way is to use iron. Put some cloth on the bindings then apply iron. Glue will melt and you can easily debind them without ruining the pages.
If you don't have iron, then use microwave. Microwave it for 15 seconds, take it out, give some air between pages, then flip it and microwave it for another 10 seconds. Don't microwave too long; the paper might burn +_+
By the way, after you iron/microwave it, you don't necesarily have to take pages apart. You can press the pages really flat that you can scan them properly. If you do this way, you can iron/microwave it again once you're done and make the bindings steady by cooling it down. Remember to put the Tanko under something heavy (under 5 dictionaries? :D) so the binding will somewhat go back to normal.
ps. Whoa, Matt... Matt!?
