Random question, I know, maybe not worthy of a thread, but I'm looking to raise an army of southpaws see what percentage we have of lefties and righties. You know, so that way I know I'm not alone in the world.
Are You Left-handed or Right-handed?
-
-
What I've got here is a nice useful pair o' rainbow wings.
-
I'm right-handed, but I usually mix up left and right. Quite frustrating. This means I have a hard time to follow given directions, despite having a great sense of orientation. I prefer using maps and such.
-
Oh you, Dryish
-
I have llama paws. Which option am I supposed to tick off?
-
I'm right-winged.
-
I'm one of the many right-handed people.
But it seems kind of unnormal that I'm using my right hand for the fork and the left for the knife. I think it's unnormal to use the fork with the left hand because the fork is the main tool you use to eat, isn't it?…
Also I trained myself to use the spoon with both hands, so that I can still browse the internet with my main right hand :ninja:
Same goes for cigarettes. -
i type with my nose
-
I think a more interesting question would be which side of your brain is your advantage.
That said, I am ominidextrous. -

I do that too… because I'm an uncivilized fool.
-
I thought that was normal. But if I'm using a fork and a spoon, I put the fork in my left hand and the spoon in my right, since I use the spoon more.
-

I actually think that's normal.
What I'm doing is not normal: To cut, I have the knife in my right hand and the fork in the left. But I can't eat with the fork in my left hand, so I switch them back to eat. Okay, I could eat with the fork in my left hand (when people are watching me, for example), but I'm not very comfortable with that. -
I'm mostly right handed, but if I choose to use my left hand I'm not that bad at it. Really, if I practiced a little with my left hand, I'd be totally ambidextrous. But I am lazy and as such right handed.
-
I'm Ambidextrous. But I write with my right for example.
-
I'm right handed, but I used to be pretty ambidextrous as a kid.
-
I´m right-handed (So normal ¬¬)

I do the same thing, but most times I don´t even realize it, only when people complain about it.
-
I have hooves. I mostly use my right one tho!
-
I'm right-handed with very rare moments of being ambidextrous.
-
I am a left finned swordfish, my beloved knife/writing fin~~
-
I was born left handed but after an incident in which I was paralyzed for a couple of months at the age of 5 I began using my right hand for everything to the point that I cannot write with my left to this day.
-
Fecking mirrors bro.
-
I'm left-handed like my grandma (although she was forced to write with her right hand in school).
-
Which way is right again?
-
I'm left-handed.
-
Interesting, quite a few more lefties than I thought…
-
I'm right handed, but I think when I was a kid I drew/painted with my left hand.
-

We are few, but we Lefties will take over the world, mark me!
-
Lefties aren't as sparse as you'd think. I know at least three different lefties here. o:
-
I started off writing with my left hand, when I was little tyke, but my mother forced me to switch to my right because she figured it would be easier on me regarding desks and scissors and notebooks or whatever. I'm totally a right handed person today.
-
I'm right-handed.
Being left-handed really is rare, I mean, I only know one person that is left handed.
-
Right handed people are the dominant race.
-
Right handed people are the dominant race.
We will breed and multiply so that our adaptive genes will be passed on through the generations.
-
Yes let us commence the breeding. Make sure you lie on your right side. We don't want any tainting.
-
I'm right handed
sob I'm not unique -
Wait. trapped
Noooooooooooo!
-
for all the lefties in here:
!

I used to be cross-dominant and I've become a learned/forced ambidextrous. Around the time I was 16 I stopped having the feeling that one side of my body had weight over the other. For about a week after I became aware of this sensation, I found it massively grounding and I tended to purposefully switch around things for no reason other than to just do them with my left, or right, hand.
I have a left handed and right handed mouse hooked up to my computer at the same time, actually. Although this was more because my sister was left-handed and we wanted to waste money on one. It stuck around.
Negative part of it is I've also become way more crazy about OCD-esque tendencies, I think, because of it. I systematically count, record, and schedule "evenness" mentally throughout my day.
-
I know something that you don't know.
I am not left handed!

HOMG HE'S LIFTING HIS RIGHT HAND!
[/blasphemy]Also, since I wasn't absolutely positively that 100% clear last time, I'm right.
I'M nearly ALWAYS RIGHT!
-
Another left handed yeay o/. Even though I can use both of my hand for things like sports.
-
Generally lefties are about 1 in 10… though they're a lot more common among artists.

My situation is very much like this. When I was younger, I wanted to be more dominant with my right side, but as of right now, I'm more dominant with my left (funny how that turned out). I write and draw with my right hand, but I do nearly everything else with the left (that includes painting). Still to this day, I'm a bit bothered that my left is is more dominant than my right.
Sooo I'm going with the ambi. option.
-
I guess I've never really thought about it, but I do a lot of things with my right hand as well, only I can't write with my right hand…
-
Right hand, I love my left hand but it's pretty much the sidekick.
-
I usually draw with my right hand but my left hand can draw almost as good, just has less practice.
-
Lefties unite .
-
I have no hands.
But when I did, I was a righty….>
-
President Obama is Left Handed, and given recent events….
It is a good time to be left handed….

Artists also tend to have reeeeeally bad handwritting and tend to be pretty smart. o:
Well, if my AP art class and teacher (and her prodigy children) are anything to go by, haha.
