Man, this Koala kid is making me feel all horrible inside…It's not much that she scares me, but more that her behaviour is the result of some really terrible horrors going on in the One Piece world. How old is she, 11? Was freed when she was 8? So somebody must have kidnapped her around age 6-7 and sold her to the blackmarket. Shit.
Now that I think about it, I come to the conclusion that Marco has taken the most horrible route of the former fishman pirates.
Yeah, Arlong is a monster, yet he still has some (fucked up) principals; thinking he's doing the fishmen a favour.
Macro on the other hand, witnessed the terrors of slavery on both ends, fought alongside the greatest liberator of slaves and still ended up kidnapping and selling people to nobles? GET THE HELL OUTTA MY FACE, SCUM!
@Bravo:
I really hope there is more of Koala in the current timeline.
I hope so, too!
She would without a doubt be an absolutely great sidecharacter with som solid background. In the current time line she'd be 23 by now if I'm not mistaken. A human with a Sun-pirates mark, who has witnessed both the World Nobles and the great Fisher Tiger in action surely has a couple of badass stories to tell.
Although I'm having a bad feeling about this one…She's in iminent danger of biting the dust (unlike Sabo, real danger with Arlong being on board lol)
I think she might be the catalysator for a clean split of the Fishman pirates and Jimbe's change of heart. I suppose they will be brought to a situation where they have to risk their lifes to protect her or simply leave her to die, since she's "just" a human. It is clear which routes Arlong and Tiger will take respectively, Jimbe is still on the fence.
@Aohige_AP:
They still have the first page wrong, though.
It's still written like he's addressing the slaves, not the king.
He's saying that THEY shouldn't live a life of slavery, and that he made up his mind to go free them.
Basically reporting to his majesty what he plans to do, not asking for his corporation.
As always, thank you very much for the input! I'm always a bit afraid of completely misunderstanding stuff.
Thanks to you I can relax a bit haha
