I might be new here, so my opinion might not be relevant, but I'm sad about this discussion.
I'm gonna take Louis side on this. I can't see any valid argument on BS answers apart from childish replies.
I just believe that Louis made a valid point by saying that nippon-yassan is not an honest shop.
If they buy from the manufacture company (which I believe might be true due to having preorders) they should sell the product at retail price, and make the profit that the manufacturer is suggesting. Otherwise they're taking advantage of the customers and the figure companies. The figure companies taxes their products knowing that the retailers will get some money from them. Nippon yassan however taxes their products (even the new ones like Bonney or Dofla) way over the retail price, making neat profit for an item that they were already gaining some money from.

A store can get more than 1 supplier for 1 item. Happened to my order with amiami and hlj. They said they can't get it from their usual supplier and will try to get it from different supplier and told me to wait. Different supplier might give them different price. We don't know what's going on behind those prices.
Amiami also started to sell preowned fgure. HLJ selling prize items higher than most other store, etc.

I think that, at the very least, if a site like Nippon-yasan wants to have an inflated price on a new item they should also list what the suggested retail price was. Otherwise, no matter how you look at it they're not being quite as honest as they could.

Anyway i think this whole discussion is pretty dumb. while i wouldn't call them dishonest per say, i think the suggested retail price is there for a good reason. we've all seen how artificial inflation can drive figure prices through the roof due to high demand and lowered availability, this which only hurts the consumer. the retail price is there to protect consumers and not drive prices so out of whack, at least when they're first released. i guess it's sort of a rule you should follow if you want to consider your store reputable.

however, jacking up prices way higher isn't necessarily an atrocity in my mind, but it is something to raise eyebrows at. A bit unprofessional? yes. Dishonest/abhorrent? no, imo. at the end of the day it's the consumer who decides, if there's enough desperate/uninformed people who buy at such a high price i don't agree, but at the same time i don't really blame them, for being tempted to take advantage of it.

I know that a store can get items from more than 1 supplier. Still believe there's something iffy about Nippon-yassan. Just think about it, did Ami2 or HLJ asked you to pay 2k more for the figure because it was from a different supplier? Or does Ami2 sell preowned items for higher than the retail price? HLJ can sell prize items as high as they want, as far as I'm concerned there's no retail price on them….
As Kirjava said, they should at least put the retail price on there. Nippon-yassan are listing items on relise date more expensive than the retail price, and I doubt that it's because they're items for different suppliers. They have a policy of paying fully for the item before the item relise date or else the item is automatically cancelled, which means they know perfectly how many items have they available to sell at inflated prices.
So your arguments are still not good for me, but I leave it as it is. Don't want to drag this further... (sorry for the other members of this community).

They sell it anyway, same thing when amiami still selling prize items, etc. They got their own supplier for that.
Even with Dive, Megahouse, Alter, etc…they got more than 1 supplier.
Same with nippon yasan, Im sure they also got more than 1 supplier.
And they can get some rare stuff that's already more expensive than retail value.
They're also offering a service where they can search figure that you want that's not available in stores anymore.

Robin's pre-order is on Wednesday. They're always on a wednesday lol. Dunno if there's anyone else gonna be re-released alongside tho. Guess if they look at releasing two new POPs a month then Chopper Limited will be the other one….just limited..

I checked the store at exactly 06.00 pm, saw POP SA Robin listed, tried to add to cart but repeatedly failed.
Kept trying every 15 seconds.
Then suddenly "you can only order 1 quantity" alert popped up, immediately went to Cart and proceeded smoothly.

Got Robin from both HLJ & HS! Man HS was a ball ache today!! Didn't come up until 10 past and then the pages were just sooooo slow. Had checkout on 3 different tabs, 2 failed and last one was a success!! So lucky!! Now the question…Do I follow through and get 2 Robins? Since it's part of her technique, perhaps if I was ever going to double up this would be the one to do it on (and perhaps Kuma, but he's way to expensive to build a pacifista army).

Yeah, NY don't seem to offer much in the way of discounts. Much like BIJ. She's still sold out at both of those stores though

amiami being jerks as usual 26 minutes of robin in stock, 503 error and cart empty then they thanks us for our useless effort…

is there a place where we can still get her without upfront payment? wanna recreate the double robin so much >_<

Yeah they were all up later than usual. Makes me wonder if other stores order from amiami and then resell lol. And yeah I think just about everywhere had problems with checking out this time. HLJ is usually no bother but took numerous refreshes and having to try and order again.

@1up. They still have her at animarket. I think I paid about £60 for her there which included shipping. Although you gotta pay $20 of it up front and when it came to Bonney they were about a week later. Looking through their pricing of Bonney was pretty much the same, if not slightly cheaper than most places.

She was on Otacute for maybe 5 seconds, then re opened, and then 5 more seconds and gone. Multiple people gave accounts of adding her to cart, lag and then gone. Shame.
